Ekealterego: You're even generous. There's no Ijaw in Delta state and Rivers state. Ijaw are only present in Bayelsa state which is the smallest state in Nigeria with just 8 LGAs and they even share the state with Urhobo, Ekpeye, Ogbia, Engenni, Nembe, Bomu, Epie, Abureni, Isoko and Oduah.. Urhobo is currently the Deputy governor and by 2023 it'll be the Urhobo's or Ekpeye's turn to be Governor. The state is 70% occupied by water in form of creek, Land is just 30% so you can't tell me there'll be 1.3million people living there unless you're also counting the population of the mermaids and water creatures, The entire population in Bayelsa isn't up to 1.3 million talk more of the Pure Ijaw Population. The population should be around 700, 000 with Ijaw been around 250,000. Because of the presence of many tribes in Bayelsa, Pidgin has become the language of communication cos a Nembe man will never understand the language of a Sagbama man. Ijaw should be contented with their Bayelsa state and stop trying to claim some tribes in Delta and Rivers state. Bomadi and Patani are close to Bayelsa state but that doesn't give Ijaw the right to claim them. |

Ahamefuna0001:The good news is that, reality is different from illusion. You trying to downplay our population to satisfy your illusion is accepted. But reality will always be reality! and reality is that, Every Igboid Biafran knows that the Ijaws will always be their main problem in any of their quest to annex the Niger Deltans into their biafra. That's the reality and every igboid biafran is conscious of that fact. That's why they resent the Ijaws with passion. Always trying to ridicule their significancy demographically. Planting hate among other Niger Deltans towards the Ijaws. All these rhetorics, we know them. But you see, Nature has its way of balancing things for the Niger Deltans, because Nature had already mapped us to be One! |

AdakaBoro8:Personally I think it’s a total waste of time trying to even form another country with multiethnicity, it will be another Nigeria in the making. This is why it’s important for igbos to go alone but with all Igbo speaking groups in southsouth. And you seem not to understand what landlocked means, igboland is not landlocked. Landlocked means not having 1. Oceans or sea shore-line or however Igboland has navigable water routes to the ocean. I think the second part of the definition makes igboland cut-off from the seas and will always get access to the ocean. Abeg no abuse me, I no get strength for trolling sir, God bless. |

Re: Why Is The Nigerdelta Silent? What's Our Use In This Forum As Regards Sovreignty by FatherOfJesus: 7:00am On Apr 06, 2021 |
Afriifa:You didn’t follow our discussion hence your faulty comment. It’s good to follow the thread before making your contribution so you don’t sound silly. No one is saying that igboland has coastlines and not landlocked, however it has access to the sea via River Niger and it’s tributaries, this makes it possible for it to get access to the ocean for trade purposes. We have seen this in the case of Switzerland which is landlocked but gets accesses to the ocean via the Rhine River and even this can generate revenue for any country that holds nigerdelta like we see in the Suez Canal in Egypt. International trade via ocean is not going to be a big challenge on that basis. Try to read through before commenting, it helps a lot |

FatherOfJesus:Oga.. I never wanted to give you the privilege of forcing a reply from me. But let me ask you this; "How do you intend on having access to the Sea or Ocean Via the river Niger in Onitsha or Imo River? |
Re: Why Is The Nigerdelta Silent? What's Our Use In This Forum As Regards Sovreignty by FatherOfJesus: 7:17am On Apr 06, 2021 |
Afriifa:I don’t even give people with poor geography knowledge audience but it’s important now since you have asked this question which indicates serious level of ignorance that cannot be ignored. Go and read about Rhine River in Switzerland and see how it gives them access to the sea. Also study the waterways of River Niger and it’s tributaries to see how it empties into the Atlantic Ocean. Lastly, read about Bolivian river and how it is used by landlocked countries like Paraguay in South America to transact international trades via the ocean. The purpose of teaching regional geography in school is for this reason, now because you probably skipped some classes, you do not understand the geography of Nigeria. |
