Re: Nhis(national Health Insurance Scheme) by upmanagers: 12:27pm On Jan 04, 2021 |
zayo150:Yes, the program is now called GIFSHIP |

upmanagers:What does the Gifship entails now? |
Re: Nhis(national Health Insurance Scheme) by nedzuby: 4:17am On Jan 05, 2021 |
upmanagers: Please state the benefits one stand to enjoy with this new scheme compare to VCSHIP. How many dependents/people that one can add to this new scheme. Can one register online like the way people registered for VCSHIP (online registration should be considered as this will be the safest means since FG is considering a 2nd lockdown) and also Is there an age limit |
Re: Nhis(national Health Insurance Scheme) by upmanagers: 1:29pm On Jan 09, 2021 |
nedzuby: GIFSHIP still have the same benefits as VCSHIP GIFSHIP stands for Group, Individual, Family Social Health Insurance Program therefore Individual covers 1-3 people, Family covers 4-9 people and Group is 10 to infinity. You cannot register yourself online as only selected staff have codes that is used to register enrollees. Even with the lockdown NHIS is open to attending to enrollees NHIS covers all age 1 Like |

Re: Nhis(national Health Insurance Scheme) by nedzuby: 10:46pm On Jan 09, 2021 |
upmanagers: One more question please. I understand NIN is a most to enroll members of your family, in a case where by I have a child less than 2 years. Will I still need to present NIN for the child before I can enroll the child and also what's the process duration. VCSHIP took 2 months, will this take same period of time before I can start using it? |
Re: Nhis(national Health Insurance Scheme) by upmanagers: 5:25am On Jan 10, 2021 |
nedzuby: Yes NIN is compulsory now and a new born child can get NIN too. Duration is 1-3month for now depending on time of registration to when register comes out |
Re: Nhis(national Health Insurance Scheme) by zedegit: 5:59am On Jan 10, 2021 |
Na scam. I remember how corpers were tasked #5000 for the scheme but never used it. Multiply #5000 by 1million at least corps members in the whole of Nigeria. That's #5 billion naira at least Multiply by 3 batches each year . That's #15 billion naira unaccounted for. That's being modest by the way cos it's more than that. |

upmanagers: Good evening, I went to NHIS office and was told that the family plan is only for 4 people and also the number of HMO is restricted to only 7. Does this mean that the other HMO will no longer participate again? |
Re: Nhis(national Health Insurance Scheme) by upmanagers: 1:52pm On Feb 01, 2021 |
nedzuby: For now the HMO is restricted to 7. May be adjusted later. We have various plans which are individual(maximum of 3), family(4-9people), group(10 to infinity) |

justified007:I am also asking same question @ upmanagers |
Re: Nhis(national Health Insurance Scheme) by upmanagers: 6:19pm On Apr 09, 2021 |
Jesterfly: A family of 4 is #60,000 annually, each of you must have your NIN slip or card and clear, current passport photographs. You can go register at NHIS Abeokuta office |

upmanagers:@upmanagers . Good morning and thanks for helping answer vital questions here. Please I registered for the individual category and made remital payment since on the 2nd of February this year. Its more than 3 months now and I am still told that my registration is no yet out. Is there anything I can do to expedite the process cause my wife is less than a month due for delivery and I am afraid I may have wasted 45k? Thank you. I earnestly anticipate your reply |

Greeting to Upmanager and every one. Thanks for your good work educating us here. First of all, I will be detailed so you can know precisely how to help me. My case is very unique which I haven't got a satisfied answer from anyone or any platform yet. I believe you can assist me. I am currently serving under the public sector (NPF precisely). recently, I was called upon that i need to update my biodata with my employer. Part of what I should provide is my NHIS ID Number and HMO. Now a three month written salary payment slip has been given to me to take to any health care provider of my choice under NHIS. This is where I have problem, I am currently separated with my spouse which I don't know whether it could later lead to divorce but we have a daughter which is currently in her custody (that would change as soon as I am settled). I intend to enroll my daughter as a beneficiary and myself but we are in two different state very far apart (I work in the North and my daughter is in Southwest). I use single as marital status at my place of work. Please, i dont even know where to start from cos of all these complications and my employer are on my neck to update these info. Please how should i start this considering that my piority is to extend this benefit to my daughter (that's the most important concern why I have delayed choosing my HCP). Thanks in anticipation. |

sultan204: You don't have any problem. The only problem I see is that you have sat down at a place fantasizing about an imaginary problem. Go to the NHIS office nearest to you and update your records. Nobody is interested in this your story. When you get to the space for filling of your dependents, write her name and attach her passport. Shikina |

Gboliwe: Thanks.... I will try that. |
Re: Nhis(national Health Insurance Scheme) by upmanagers: 11:10am On Jun 06, 2021 |
sultan204: You can go ahead to choose a different hospital for yourself in the north and choose a hospital in the southwest for your daughter. It doesn't matter whether you are single to add your daughter. If you settle with your wife can add her later. Hope this helps |
Re: Nhis(national Health Insurance Scheme) by upmanagers: 11:29am On Jun 06, 2021 |
DDayve: Registration takes 90days after payment with the RRR code given to you after registration in any NHIS office. Take my number from the begining of this post and send me a WhatsApp message so I can get more details from you and also help you check |
