Hello Nairalanders smiley I will be moving to Gothenburg for my doctoral studies in mid-August 2021. I am looking for a studio apartment in the city of Gothenburg, preferably close to the University of Gothenburg. If you have a studio apartment for rent or if you know someone who knows someone else with a studio apartment for rent, please let me know. The room rent should please be between the range of 5000 and 7000 SEK.

Thank you!

Interesting! These are the same tips my colleague at the University of Gothenburg gave me, including “Housing anywhere.” My department already helped me place an advertisement on Blocket, stating that I am looking for a place to rent. I will begin to search for accomodation on Facebook groups too. Hopefully, it works out.

Thank you for the tips.

Good day house, please pardon me if my questions are naive.

UK has been first choice of education, but cost is making me consider other European countries, and I seem to love Sweden ( relative low cost, and English well spoken)

I am a graduate of Accounting, married with kids.

Firstly, how is the labour market in Sweden? I would love to do a masters in an area where employment wont be a big challenge. Which courses would you advice ( i dont want MBA, too generalist in my opinion)

Secondly, would i be allowed to travel with my family for my studies?

Lastly, i dont mind paying tuition, so im not keen on fully funded scholarships, any recommendations as per schools?

Appreciate a response

If you have the money move to the UK. English is the official language over there and it will be easy for you to get along than here. Although, I could say 95% of Swedes speak English but the expect you to speak Swedish. Please am not a “Sir” Nigerian and their entitlements

Anyway, if there is anyone here who got accepted and still haven’t paid his tuition fee because of the exchange rate. I am here to help, I can help pay your tuition fee provided that you credit the full tuition locally in Nigeria.

well, it’s your decision to make, I’m not gonna tell you what to do.I could say from my experience people who speak a country native language have more upper chances to fit in. Goodluck

Hello guys!

Please, my bro is applying for residence permit and he does not have the minimum cash-in-bank to prove he can support himself within the period. I want to transfer the entire fund to his account. I believe this sudden credit of such amount of money will definitely get the attention of the the visa officers. What can I do to make them understand it's family support??

Thanks.

Hello,
Sweden doesn't seem to be 'cheap', for me.
You just need to consider a lot of things before moving. Personally, I have a dislike for UK. But again, I hear it's easier to adapt there.

Please, how do I answer the question below?

The total study/residence period is 10 months but of course, he intends to stay beyond that.

Ok... any idea what would be the ideal response in case he's asked during the interview to explain why he chose yes despite the fact that his studies will only take 10 months?

Thanks.

Hi, a friend forwarded this post to me. If your main purpose of coming to uk is to school then find work ..I advice you look else where ...but if you plan on schooling and going back to your country please feel absolutely free to come. Due to brexit things have become ANTI MIGRANT. Please I'm not discouraging you can still find a job after school but as at now I advise you have a plan B. If you have a lot of money and can stay without a job please feel free. As at now people are being laid off from work..only those who work in selected occupations have assurance of their jobs. Nevertheless destinies are different, you can find favour. Just doing my part as a Human.Have a nice day

You can easily go on Blocket.Se am sure you will be able to find a room to rent.

If you coming as a student you can easily check for student accommodation in karlstad, your university should be able to provide you with that. You just have to email them and you be sorted out.

Thanks and no private emailing.
