The thing weak me sef, mine na RE-ISSUE, and na ABUJA i go do am, dem still dey tell me say no booklet. Well, according to my source, dem say na for MALAYSIA dem dey print the Booklet, and powers that be are trying to USURP & HIJACK the deal, cuz it's worth billions of dollars. My candid advice: if you live in the east, go to the Abakaliki office. You will get it within three hours if you are early. I did mine in January and got it same day. Mind you, many people know what I'm writing here and that is why that branch is always crowded in the afternoon. People from sister states and south south troop in every day. Interestingly, they don't charge more than the specified price although you can still fast track yours with little inducement if you want. Those officers are up and doing. And they treat you as humans.

How then can we pretend to be independent

Imagine USA, UK, France, Canada etc Not printing their own currencies, election materials, International passports etc

They will be subject to foreign or external manipulation

This is part of the reason we are "third world", "failed state", "banana republic" etc.

The passports materials are printed in Malaysia. That's the problem. So we have to wait for Malaysia to send it to Nigeria.

Where did you get your stats that 1000 apply per day in Lagos. Most of the people you see at passport offices in Lagos are peeps having to come back every now and then to hustle for their passports. Thereby Creating a traffic there, as a result of inefficiency.

The booklet can all not finish at the same time in all locations. There are definitely some1 hoarding some somewhere. But there's a general scarcity of booklets in d country right now.
My contacts in Osun and ibadan confirmed that they received some booklets this week. But because it's not enough, the hausa-fulani guy incharge in ibadan was just insulting and fighting every one that came into his office for passport. He was just feeling too important because of the yeye scarcity.
And was cornering the few for his cronies I believe
Even when it was available everywhere, we still paid for express to get it fast with minimal stress

I did mine January, and this is April and I still haven't received it. Excuse is, no booklet. And I needed to make use of it in January. This hurt so much
