Aside helping my friends out be it on their wedding day or burial, i don't eat in any of those events. Very rare. If it's burial it's a no go area, if its a marriage ceremony just bottle water or can drink is ok.

Your own is even small.... I remember attending a wedding of one of my closest friends.. I wasn't served food.... The thing pained me so much cos I went there without eating.... Everybody around us were eating.... Except me and my friend that went there together.... The people serving the food were looking at face before giving food...

I left shortly afterwards very angry.... When I got home I called my friend doing the wedding about the stuff that happened.... She was just apologizing for everything.

OP, don't mind some hypocritic comments on your thread. Most of them know how it feels to be neglected at parties. It could be embarrassing sometimes.

1. So you went to a funeral for food. I always eat at home or stop by an eatry when going to any function (as a matter of personal principle) so that if dem no give me water sef, I no go care.
2. Man buried his mum and you brought 2k for him grin

I don't blame you for your anger. Party foods taste different. I have attended such before, I just use the money meant for my host to go one eatery sit down enjoy the head of my life.
