VISA ALERT

So I had my appointment on Tuesday and it was successful, visa picked up today

Questions asked by VO
where are you going to
why are you travelling
when was the last time you travelled to the US
how long did you stay for
why did you travel
what do you do
how much do you earn
what countries have you travelled to
how many times have you travelled to the US
what does your husband do
you have children, how many
where are the children right now

Brief history
birthed my son in 2015, birthed my daughter in 2018
I was very scared because of all the stories of people not been able to renew their visa because of child birth, went with both receipts and document, and not one was asked for.

Alot of people where denied, noticed only two approvals before mine, families denied, couple, elderly woman etc, it was a very tensed atmosphere.
Noticed a preggy but she was denied.
Someone going for training in August was approved but he was told to send a mail towards the end of May so he can drop off his passport at DHL as it was too early now

A big thank you to this forum for all the info,

Please do not fall for anyone claiming to provide earlier dates.
No random individual has the ability to conjure dates out of thin air.
The 2024 appointment period was done intentionally by the U.S Department of State for some strange reasons which is unfair.
It is sad that the first available appointment is in 2024.
That is just the poor treatment we get because we are Nigerians.

Thank you for your advice.

Is it that 2022 and 2023 are already filled up? Cos as at February this year when I checked for date, October 2021 was available then.

I was so shocked to see 2024.

sorry my dear.
You cannot be travelling with your kids
and you people are going for vacation of two weeks.
they assume you should have book your appointments when the children will be free from school.
thanks

Travelling with a toddler(s) doesn't qualify as a vacation I can assure you

Hello

What is the best way for me to send a direct Email to US Ambassador Mary Beth Leonard in order for me to be granted an interview date

I would be grateful if you could be of any assistance.
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by ibukunpops(f): 9:58am On Apr 17, 2021
No I said I was travelling alone for my brother inlaws surprise 50th birthday

I stayed for about 5 weeks for my second babys birth, travelled at 38weeks on Delta and returned barely 3 weeks after delivery

Yes I said I was going for the birthday and vacation.

Jan 2022 was still available last month. But within a space of few weeks ,its now at 2024.Its probably because of the sheer volume of applications they have now

Hello Nairalanders!

Can someone please give me tips on getting an F1 visa interview date? I've been seeing 'no date available'.
I'm hoping to set a date for May or June (because start date is August).
How realistic is this?

Please help

Which embassy did you chose

URGENT PLEASE!!!

Please guys I need help oo, I dont understand what just happened. My mum's interview date was booked for 22nd April(tomorrow) since early January and I just logged into the website out of curiosity for re-confirmation only to see "cancelled" under status and it was also written that there's no current appointment.

What could have happened? I dont want to believe this is the handiwork of these agents, like seriously? And my mum travelled yesterday all the way from Lagos to Abuja for this interview only for me to see this  .

Am going crazy right now honestly, where do I go from here? I can't even tell her this cos the interview is for my brother's wedding coming up on July and the earliest date is 2022.

Please what do I do? She has the appointment confirmation page with her and I intend for her to still go ahead tomorrow. I need HELP please

Call the Embassy... or let her go in like that... I'm sure they will do something about it.

The embassy randomly cancels appointments,it was done last month or so! Probably some issue with their website! Don’t know!

Call or message them through the website! Explain that she traveled from another state to Abuja! She might get lucky with a new ‘emergency appointment’

Usually, at her interview tomorrow, she will be told her name is not on the list and given some kind of card to call the number on it!

So get to calling and emailing!

Hello everyone,

I filled out my DS 160 form for a visit visa and filled a travel date for Dec 2021 but after paying and viewing the calendar, the next available appointment date is Feb 2022. If i pick an appointment date for February 2022 and attend the interview, will it be a problem that my travel date has passed?
