Lol. Someone is desperate to jumpout of Transcorp. Love to see it.

Anyway, let me tell you all something as someone who is actually in the know. I know we are mostly anonymous here and we can all claim anything, but some of us actually have access to quality information because of actual proximity to some of these ogas.

Oga UBA/Transcorp/AfriPrud/UCAP is in severe financial distress. He has bitten a lot more than he can chew...with his philanthropy (which is really just a clout-chasing exercise since he loves attention); the multibillion mansion he just built in Ikoyi, and a lot of his business deals which haven't really panned out as he had hoped. Lol. We are talking about a man who announced he would give billions in covid relief, and then went and begged Emefiele to allow him/UBA give only N200 million or so. You people don't know Oga UBA/Transcorp. The ULTIMATE clout chaser! Don't be surprised his companies' results are audio. He is sitting on way too much debt, and guess who is footing the bill for his large debts? His companies. It's why UBA with its brilliant 2020 result declared a pitiful dividend. Because there is no money. All the bank's money is going to service Oga's various Gbese loans. He is desperate for cash. But he is smart. In order to keep up appearances, he made sure a couple of his companies...UCAP and AfriPrud declared good dividends to maintain the facade. But he is struggling and all his companies will foot the bill. For all its audio earnings, Transcorp won't pay any attractive dividend anytime soon. Take that to the bank.

Also, investors in UCAP and AfriPrud should brace themselves because it's only a matter of time before Oga comes for their dividends to fulfil his obligations. Prepare for lower dividends even in the face of 'great' results. Did anyone see UBA's ridiculous dividend for 2020 coming? Think about it: With UBA's great results, why a reduced dividend when the bank hasn't embarked on any acquisitions or any other endeavors that required so much cash?

Oga is a Nigerian Bernie Madoff waiting to unravel. His fellow chairmen all laugh at him.

Bottom line. Transcorp is sh*t. Don't be fooled. Stay away. I say this as someone who was monkey-hunted since the early days of this forum and the good old days of StockMarketNigeria. I have learned a lot..earned my stripes. Don't be fooled by Transcorp and the guys peddling it. For short-termers who understand the psychology of the markets, you might get lucky if you're nimble. For others, you'll likely get burnt. Stay away!

Wale Tinubu and Mofe Boyo were once the bright, shiny thing in business until they/Oando unravelled. It is to their credit that they were able to navigate their various challenges and not get completely cancelled. When Oga UBA/Transcorp unravels, everyone will know what time it is. Stay away from Transcorp.

Since you claim Tony Elumelu is heavy indebted and his EMPIRE is about to COLLAPSE should we also stay away from UBA,AfriPrud and UCAP or is it only TRANSCORP that will go bankrupt

You are a wise Investor. I avoid companies that are always in the news, they are doing so to manage their share prices.

Avoid companies whose CEOs are concerned about their share price, rather than profitablity, earning rowth, cost management and sustainability of the business.

Avoid companies whose Chairmen or CEOs are clout chasing, behave like showbiz operators or are celebrities

You are correct, United Capital and APR invested N5 billion each in Heirs Insurance.

I foresee a situation whereby he will merge the company with United Capital at a share exchange ratio that won't favour United Capital shareholders. It happened before when he merged little known Heirs Properties with Afriland Properties, due to the share exchange ratio Heirs Properties became the biggest investor in Afriland Properties. What did Heirs Properties bring to the table to apart from the Falomo Shopping complex that is not generating any income and there is a prolong litigation with Lagos State government concerning the property.

Same way CCNN was merged with BUA cement at the end of the merger, CCNN original shareholders now own less than 6% of the enlarged BUA cement.

Femi Otedola equally did it with Zenon Oil and Africa Petroleum before it became Forte Oil

People need to learn and understand how these share exchange ratios are packaged in order to understand if they will lose on the long run or they are cheated even when the share prices are fraudulently pumped to give a semblance of capital appreciation after the merger.

United Capital is an Investment Banking firm that is well regulated by SEC, it will be a bit difficult to try nonsense. So the company is still a good place to invest, but when you hear of any merger or expensive acquisition of other businesses owned by insiders. I think one needs to sell

Nothing happens to your investment until you sell. That's when you'll find out that Bamboo is not as straight forward as they advertise. Hopefully they'll be willing to at least exchange your $ for N500.....

In my opinion, the only people benefitting from this foreign investment business is Bamboo. I would invest 1/4 of my portfolio in Bamboo if they were listed on NSE/NGX.
Thanks for your response, I really appreciate.

Executive greed is everywhere.

Average ratio of CEOs remuneration and minimum wage was 30: 1 about 40 years ago, it is now 320 to 1.

When the companies sacked workers during the pandemic and made losses, executive compensations were increased

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) says it is concluding the Extraordinary Tariff Review process for the 11 Electricity Distribution Companies (DisCos).

NERC, which is the regulator of Nigeria’s power sector, made this known on Monday in a notice to the general public and industry stakeholders posted on its website.

Corporate Nigerian is filled with scammers, from NSE, SEC, and Listed companies.

These Transcorp scams happen right from the top. The Nigerian President, Ndi Okereke(NSE DG), SEC, and Corporate rogues.

More reason I don't have sympathy for any company list on the NSE.
