Are you a man utd fan? I dont get it..

You spend your time here on this thread defending ole..

So tell me, why the disguise?
Lol.. I'm not a man u fan. Also, wen I meant "we" am talking about myself, king.Alabi and Sylva.lord.

And also, I don't just defend ole, my only stance is that Ole is in top 4 and there's no justifiable reason to sack him at least till the end of the season. You won't see me talking about team selections, or how ole broke records or all those stuff.

Mine is just that, ole has done enough not to be sacked midway(like some of you clamoured for). If he's sacked at the end of the season then it's justified

I don't think fan here said Mourinho over-achieved as our manager, he won the trophies in front of him and we celebrated it as fans. He failed to win the EPL and other off field behaviour, he was rightly sacked. Ole hasn't won a spoon in almost 3 seasons, if the owners are happy cos he is making money for them by qualifying for CL, should fans also be happy or call for his sack? Anytime we are having a legitimate go at Ole for his team poor performance in certain game, Olesexuals quickly bring in the Mourinho comparism by letting us know Ole is ahead of Mou in the League. Mou has been sacked, Ole should win us a trophy....
Lol... I don tell you say your own matter different, reason you hardly see me quote you with contrasting opinion to yours. At least, your own be say let Ole give you trophy whether he wants to play anyhow football or not cheesy cheesy

Maybe if I was a fan of Leicester City I'd have said yes without thinking twice but as a fan of Manchester United, the only reason I'll accept a 2nd place finish is when it comes alongside the UCL (UEL in this case) or the FA Cup...It's hard to see Barcelona/Madrid/Bayern/City keep faith with a coach that goes trophy less not because they don't know what the word progress means but because they have set a standard that must be met and when it's not met, they fire the coach just to set a precedence that it's either the top or nothing...

Second place finish and the UEL will be welcomed by me, anything less means the season is a total failure...
Lol... You misunderstood my question.
If I'm a man u fan, I know I won't be if my team finishes 2nd without any trophy. My question is this
" is it justifiable to sack Ole midway(during) through the season when you know he's in top 2 in the league even tho he's being eliminated in all cup competitions"?

Is there any club or club owner who have sacked any coach when he's in top 2 and when the season is still running?

People will just invade the thread and claim to be Man United fans. They say all sort of rubbish about the team, try to dismiss anything of note the team has achieved or is trying to achieve. They never see anything good or say anything good about the team they claim to be fans of, they never show any iota of support towards the team. But you believe they are Man Utd fans because they claim to be and you allow them derail the thread and fill the thread with all sort of negativity.

I really don’t blame the trolls again. I blame the fans that engage them and the mods that have neglected their duties and allowed this thread to be overrun by trolls pretending to be fans.

Most of the so-called fans here will be banned from r/reddevils within their first week of joining the sub.

From now on, I careless about all this yeye unproductive back and forth. Anybody that wants to wail should keep on wailing. Here’s no longer fun but rather full of endless toxicity, name callings and sentimental bickerings everyday whether the team wins, draws or loses.
So what’s the point ?

Let the so called real fans who care about the club carry on.

They has been times where he has shown that he is simply not good enough and those times have come when we played matches which were all too important. When the stakes are high, he fumbles and that's it for me...

Ole is that guy that won't come last in class, he'll always be close to the top but hardly ever does he top the class...

Ole still stand the chance of winning the Europa League.

Exactly @ the bolded. Reason why I said you can't sack someone midway through the season when he delivers result just as ole does. If he goes trophyless and the board still renews his contract then it's the board that's not serious. Oh wait! I heard the board gave him an improve contract sef grin.
The only thing is if only have a very bad run of results just as lampard had, then in that case he can be sacked. Cos I think Chelsea is just fortunate enough that lampard have a very bad spell of poor results while still getting confused in the process. If ole has such result and/or worse this season, he would have been sacked. But las las, like both of us agree, ole is doing just enough to secure his job. It's up to the board show ambition at the end of the season (just the way they did with van gaal even as he won the fa cup)

....Which even makes the point stronger on why Ole can't be sacked midway through the season like the way some people are clamouring for.

Please correct me if am wrong. Did Ole not have a bad run almost equal to what Lampard had this season?

At the beginning of the season, when season was just starting if my memory serves me right... When the Aston villa and Everton were topping the table(let's say between Sept/beginning-mid Oct).
Or am I wrong?

And he never had it bad like lampard

I guess his finishing 3rd, semi finals in FA, EFL and Europa last season gave him leverage to go on a run like that and not get sacked.

Hehehe My own definition of progress doesn't end in moving position from 3rd to 2nd, it goes beyond that, involving a couple of trophies (Caraboa or FA Cup or UEL) and then further (Consistently challenging for and winning the EPL & UCL)...It's Spurs fans and Leicester City fans that should be celebrating moving from 6th to 5th to 4th to 3rd...
Some people's own is appearing in consecutive champions leagues even though you know they can't finish the job of qualification when you need a mere 1 point to qualify from your last 3 group games.

Others own is surpassing 66 total points from last year.

While some others own is to be eternally foolish, while some just want to appear smarter than they actually are by accusing you of narrative and agenda.

Even when the obvious is staring them in the face

For me that leverage means nothing at a club like United.

Runs without tangible results mean nothing.

Its only in a club like United run by the Glazes that Ole will still be confident of having a job.

We troll Spurs for not even winning a Jerry can of water, but even David Levy got rid of managers who made the CL final and League Cup.

If Lampard was in Ole's position after the board backed him in the window, he'd have been sacked. I don't see the Chelsea board tolerating a coach's failure to make the UCL knockout and failing in all the domestic cup competition...

We're in the UEL semi finals just because we failed to make UCL knock out after comfortably leading the group after 3 matches...That failure alone is enough to be sacked...

Another low point was his decision to drop our best players against Leicester City in the FA Cup quarter final when the international break was up next.

Aside man u not having a sacking culture like Chelsea owner, ordinarily a club owner won't sack a coach with the kinda result ole has 1st half of the season.

Match day
1.. Lost 3-1 to crystal palace
2.. Lost against Tottenham
3... Lost against arsenal
All just once in a month not consecutively.
Between all those losses is wins in the league (aside draw to Chelsea).

Tell me, how do they sack such a coach? lipsrsealed
