This statement is conflicting.

Are you saying, Lagos to Onitsha trip is better than driving within Lagos, or the other way round?

For the vehicle, Interstate and long stretch trips are better than stop and go

In Nigeria, city driving is better than highway driving. Reason is, our highways are terrible. Potholes, ditches, uneven surfaces, and long stretches of completely damaged roads. U r constantly on brake and acceleration, ur shocks will confess, tyres are not safe, grits and sand will wear ur paint faster. If its rainy season, it's d worst.
You are more likely to do repairs after each and every long distance trip u do such as Lagos to calabar than if you drive within town from morning till night for 3days straight.

The day the guy made that post i was serving an unscrupulous suspension the mumu mod slammed me so I couldn't respond to that.

I sometimes wonder where that guy gets his thinking from.

Some people like suffer pass enjoyment shall.

Well, people have preferences but that doent mean what you like is generally okay or accepted as a general fact.

Long distance trip is no where compared to within town driving weather in terms of devaluation of car or earnings.

Its not about liking suffer than enjoyment or preferences. Its a Nigerian situation. If u use ur car to shuttle Lagos to Calabar as a transporter, How many years can that car remain capable/worthy to do that trip?
How much would be ur weekly average on maintainance and repairs?
Now, compare it with city shuttle like ehailing which also builds mileage.

The difference between me and many people you know is that I speak from years of experience and practice not just some theory, assumptions or hypothesis. Or superimposing western ideas in a Nigerian situation.

You're right though.
150km from Lagos/Shagamu interchange to Ore can shorten the life span of any shock absorber by 3months.

The level of patch patch and pot holes on that stretch is too much.

Actually, non of them are necessary as at today.
They are optional.

I still don't know why wasting lives for ritual purposes over political ambitions when you still have to use money to buy votes, arm thugs, steal or destroy ballots.

New entrants should stop asking about these things before they make it mandatory. I don't think any of these is compulsory.

I know they aren't necessary for registration. But in the field are they necessary? I'm asking all Uber/bolt partners and drivers here. Has anyone been stopped by the police or vio and asked to produce those documents? Especially hackney permit and LASDRI card.

If you are driving a corolla, perhaps yes.
But I don't have such docs in my name.

P.S Who else noticed Uber pays #20 to LASG per trip grin

Abi, I guess there was a time they reported the VIO folks to Sanwo olu on unnecessary route badge, driver pass n all that nonsense disturbing people going on their daily business.

No wonder Ambode clipped their dirty wings during his tenure.

Police just asks of ur regular documents. If u tell them uber, they will let u go without checking anything sef.
If u meet VIO never tell them u r Uber/Bolt. Hackney Permit and Lasdri are compulsory on d road by VIO. Driver badge and vehicle tag are still under contention because its basically a duplication of documentation and multiple taxation. Infact the Governor put it on hold.

Today I will be discussing more about those that are using Mobile XHP oil 20W50.

I will not condemn the oil but be careful what you put in your engine, now a car was brought down with a wierd noise coming from the engine. A Toyota Camry 2007, at first running a scan was not the best cause of action so we drove round and driving back to the workshop I noticed the Engine oil light blinking, which was a red flag.

Getting to the workshop, I removed the oil cover that was on the engine to check the pressure of the oil pump. It was relatively low and couple with the sound. I decided to drain the engine oil and open up the sump.
Removing the sump I saw cake - I mean the engine oil has caked inside the sump blocking the filter and oil pump. I removed the cake and try brushing the rest with a petrol and I decided to replace the filter with a new one.

Further investigation from the owner he said he has been servicing the car with the Mobile XHP since he bought the car and serviced the car every 3 months.

On conclusion I told him anytime he wants to service the car he should at least drive round for an hour plus then they drain the oil when it's still hot so some of the cake will come out. By that some cake will dissolve temporarily due to the hot engine oil.

Note: Always check the cover of the Mobile XHP that it was sealed and the cover is blue and not black

I decided to drive for them after 2 months to see if things are ok. Completed 16 trips, my activity score 99%, acceptance rate 96% completion rate 93%. Yesterday before i sleep it showing me that i have completed the bonus only for me to wake up this morning to see that the bonus have been removed and they are saying i did 14 trips out of 15. I counted it again its 16. So This is how this guys have been robbing innocent drivers.

Currently its on hold, V1O too don't ask for badge and tag. But Hackney and Lasdri is required. to be on the safe side don't tell them u r uber/bolt simple.

If u buy 800k car keep extra 200-300k for further repairs. 800k can't get u a car strong enough for the rigors of ehailing. Except u r lucky.
