It's honestly amazing the country isn't in open rebellion after seeing your parents and grandparents be ripped off while these politicians give themselves outlandish pensions. Think about how disgusting it is to bribe some government bureaucrat after decades of service. Serving the state is bad idea when you look how they treat their low level workers. 22 Likes 1 Share |

Believe it or not, this country is the worst thing that can happen to a poor man. There’s so many persons out there who aren’t fortunate enough to have had wealthy parents. Like the majority, they worked their asses off in school, struggled for government paying jobs so they could at least feed their families, and amidst all the delays in payment of wages during their working days, they still retire to a meagre sum—or in some cases, die whilst still in service. And the government is unable to pay their families their death benefits, or pay their pensions. How do you expect the poor man’s family to survive? These persons in charge of making these organisations work, how do you sleep at night, with filled stomachs, not realising that over a million other families struggle on one side of their bed with crumbs in their bellies. There’s this very popular thread on Nairaland with over 50k views, it is of people lamenting. Families hoping that they pay their death benefits and accrued pension rights. https://www.nairaland.com/1489204/how-pension-managers-cheating-nigerians The government—forget whatever party you belong to right now, both the APC, and PDP, even APGA. They are all bunch of incapable dogs. 5 Likes 1 Share |

At all cost invest in something before you retire. Make plans for it. In the village we see them all the time. Sitting outside their new houses with little except the house they built to show for all the years they spent labouring for the government Some couldn't even complete their houses and they move in like that. Retirement is not the dream they sell to you. Don't believe it. Most times as soon as they return to the village things becomes hard and they start going to that farm they abandoned a long time ago. You left the farm in your youth to go work for the government only to come back to it in your old age because the government sold you a vision of Eldorado 12 Likes |

I followed Nigeria Info FM this morning where the issue was discussed and the BBC correspondent was interviewed. It was really really sad, the stories callers narrated. There was a story of a frail old man who was paid 700 cash as pension and still had to part away with 200 to the government staffs sharing the money. Nigeria is just a reflection of who majority of Nigerians are, both the top and bottom are endemically corrupt. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Nigeria in it's present form, is only befitting for the politically exposed........ They continually earmark super duper bumper pension packages, for themselves..... Whilst those that need financial assistance most, are placed below the garri/breadline........ 1 Like |

The most wicked, despicable, ignoble and draconic politician are found in Hell-hole called Nigeria. And the most interesting at the same time sad thing is that come 2023 this people would still come out en masse to vote this nonentities. Praising and hailing their oppressor. See Nigeria is gone don't let anybody decisive you. 1 Like |
