It's perfectly okay to travel in July. Although, your medicals should be valid before your arrival in Canada. You don't need to pay for your tuition fee to the former institution since you intend to change/transfer to another DLI within Canada. Should the immigration officer ask you whether you've paid for your tuition, you can explain to them that your school don't require you to pay tuition fees upfront until the first day to start of classes.

I hope this information helps.

My friend did this and was not allowed to board the flight from Lagos. She completed her second semester exam in April and decided to travel to Canada in May in preparation for her 3rd semester in September. With every confirmation she presented at the check-in counter she was not allowed to travel. The lady insisted she MUST bring evidence of being registered for the 3rd semester before she can be checked in.

Hello!
***

1) Please if a company where i currently work(like 6-7 months now...) is willing to sponsor me due to the better of the company and the actualization of my long term dream through my employer, can the employer use his personal account for bank statement of 10m naira or the company's of 10m, which is advisable? Don't mind me, am just finding Dory several options to aid me more convincing words to the VO.

2) And then if am using company as my sponsor, won't i include board of directors reference documents or officials of the company having knowing about the sponsor together with the M.D(my employer), even though it is his will, just to prove to the VO that some knows about the sponsorship, is that necessary please or only reference from the employer/M.D is needed?

I finally got my GCMS notes. This was the mail sent to me " Hello, your application is still in progress and has not reached a stage where the visa officer can update notes regarding the final decision of your application. You can still check the last 4 pages for any status updates. You can order another report in couple of weeks to see the final decision." (I applied in september)

On the notes my eligibility says "recommended interview " while the last comment from the vo was:"Name on application changed" then they wrote old values and new values, all are my names except that the one of old values omitted the hyphen in my surname while the new value had the correct name. Eg. (Old value: John Chris, Michael and new value: john-chris Michael). The new value is the correct one. Please what do they all mean? Upfront medical i submitted on the 13th of April is not capture, medical is still blank.

The information present on your GCMS notes is standard with other prospective applicants seeking to study/relocate to Canada. As for the "Recommend Interview", kindly read through my detailed explanation relating to this issue on your eligibility assessment.

With regards to your upfront medicals which is yet to be updated on your MyCIC account by the immigration, you should raise a CSE to IRCC webform.

I hope this information satisfies your enquiry.

The advice I gave to the op is different from your friend's case. The immigration officer your friend met at Murtala Muhammed International Airport needed her to show proof of her enrollment which is by means of providing her "Confirmation of Enrollment" letter and tuition payments from the Institution, since she has already completed 1 full academic year in Nigeria. This is completely not in-line with what I originally advised.

Ps: For clarity sake, this is the op's situation;
The op's case is that he intends to change a DLI upon arrival in Canada and haven't started any online program. He was asking whether he should pay tuition upfront to the former school before embarking on his trip to Canada, which I categorically advised against. I don't believe that there is a connection for his situation with that of your friend's case.

DO NOT TRY TO SUBMIT AN INCOMPLETE APPLICATION
IRCC would contact you for only mandatory documents needed by them
If you forget to include any document that can help your application, you are totally on your own and it would definitely afect your application decision.
For example, IRCC WOULD NOT send you a mail stating they need your transcript or your statement of purpose.
I would advice you chill and gather your documents
If you submit after may 15
Nothing spoil !

What does your GCMS information reveal? I suppose you must have ordered and received the note by now.
The first note I ordered nothing useful was there
Ordered another one on the 18 of April

Good morning everyone, I'm new here and I have been reading through the thread. I'm honestly overwhelmed with the amount of information here.

Please I graduated with a third class (2.4 CGPA) in accounting and I want to go for a graduate diploma course in Canada.
I worked for about 7yrs and later resigned to register a business which I have been running for about 6yrs
I'm married with 3kids and I will like to travel with my husband and kids.

My Dad has landed properties and stocks. I'm thinking of selling some of the stocks to raise funds

Please what are my chances of getting a student visa? Should I sponsor myself or get a sponsor?

Should I apply alone first and later apply for my husband and kids or can we all apply at once.

Please @frankrobbn1 and other gurus kindly help me know my chances.

I will really want to boost my qualification as I'm not happy with my third class certificate. I'm also thinking of writing a professional exam CIMA

Thank you as I anticipate replies

Welcome to thread, I hope you will find your stay here very exciting and rewarding and ultimately share your success story.

Given that you have a third class degree, you should opt for a PGD program that is directly relevant with your current employment status (business). Having said that, a Post Graduate Certificate program in Global Business Management would be your best choice to demonstrate career advancement.

My simple and honest opinion is that you should apply alone and leave your family (spouse and kids) behind. However, if you've a toddler let's say 1 to 2 year old baby, you can apply for a visitors visa for her to accompany you to Canada whilst the rest stay behind. Upon the successful assessment of your application and your arrival in Canada, you can file for a SOWP and Visitor's/open study permit for them to join you in Canada.

To summarize this piece of advice, you should either be Self-sponsored or your husband be the sponsor of your application.

I hope this information is detailed and sufficient to your enquiry.

Well said boss. I was only trying to add that he might not be allowed to fly without a confirmation of enrollment. I am not sure one can enroll
without tuition payment. I was only trying to use that scenario to add that confirmation of enrollment is a vital document for boarding from Nigeria. I was not in anyway countering your view boss.

I'm very meticulous and always think conscientiously before advising anyone on this platform as many of my suggestions are been put to good use by a large number of people here including passive readers. More importantly, I know quite a number of persons who boarded their flight from Murtala Muhammed International Airport and never declared a "Confirmation of Enrollment letter". I will have to say that it boils down to the airline or immigration officer whom the traveller met at the airport. Also, it might be a requirement for students that have commenced their studies online.

Someone was just given 5 years ban cos of chargeback.

Please pay your application fees yourself.

If you can't open Dorm account cos of reference.

1. Open Visa USD prepaid card with access bank.

2. Open Visa gold prepaid card with First bank.

It takes about 3-5 business days to get this card after application.

Deposit your USD into it and make your payment.

If one week is too long too wait then 5 years ban with damaged reputation will be shorter.

Think twice ...

Good day everyone , hope we are all hail and hearty.
After waiting for 3 months for my refusal GCMS notes, it came this month.

Below is the summary of the note:

1. I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of yours stay, as stipulated in 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit
2. I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in the subsection 216(1) of IRPR, based on your personal asset and financial status.
3. The applicant is seeking to study in the colleague certificate program at Sault College in Canada; the applicant holds a bachelor degree in Electronics and Computer Tech. She has been working since 2016/03. The study plan does not appear reasonable given the applicant’s employment and education history. I note that: the clients proposed studies are not reasonable given the career path.
4. Taking the applicant’s plan of studies into account, the document provided in support of the applicant’s financial situation does not demonstrate that funds would be sufficient or available.
I am not satisfied that the proposed studies would be a reasonable expense
Weighing the factors in this application, I am not satisfied that the applicant will adhere to the terms and conditions imposed as a temporary resident.

Also for proper context, here is my application profile.
My undergraduate course: Bsc Electronics and Computer Technology
Program I applied for: Automated Manufacturing(graduate certificate)
Institution: Sault College, Ontario Canada
Occupation: System Admin in an IT firm
Funding: Personal Acc. Balance: 10M, sponsor account balance: 8M , Paid 60 percent of the tuition fee upfront.
Also I don't know why they referred me as a she

Please house, I need your candid advice/recommendations on how to re-apply
Thank you.
