Why should they bicker over who to collect the appropriate PAYE taxes.

Are they ignorant of the personal income tax laws in Nigeria ni?

The law is based on place/state of residency ... meaning you are liable to pay tax to the internal revenue service of the state in which you are resident. If you work in Ikeja, Lagos but live in Mowe, Ogun state, then you should advise your employer to remit your PAYE taxes to the Ogun state internal revenue service.

This is an overdue and most welcomed development.

Population growth of Lagos is unsustainable while Ogun is a much bigger state that can potentially decongest Lagos if transport links are good and varied between both States.

Both States benefit and the winner is South West integration and growth.

Two like-minded governors made it possible(MFM family)

Wait until the two states produce governors of different faiths, especially when one is a Muslim.

Oyetola was a Muslim, makinde was a Christian.....they came together to sort out the issue with the state university. Both governors of lagos and ogun were groomed by a muslim named tinubu....mwe don't do that shit in the south west.

Good one from the leadership of the two most developed and self sufficient states in the whole of Nigeria. Their self sufficiency didn't drop from the sky, initiatives of this nature and many other intelligent programmes are the brains behind the enviable height.

It could be observed these two states are currently playing host to some economic migrants who missed their ways and are yet to get a good compass for accurate direction.

By the way, when will Abia and Ebonyi launch their joint development commission?
Well said my comrade. Children of hate are busy with UGM as we speak. Either they blame PMB for the under development in Abia state, or they wail about how Asiwaju has been depriving them of the type of JF Kennedy airport at Obiagwu roundabout.

Even tho am from Oyo state, this news makes me happy for both states.....this is what we've been saying and thank God that both governors have done the needful.

God Bless Yorubaland and all Omoluabis.

This is how to form oduduwa without forming Oduduwa.

Any private enterprise you set up belongs to you, you only pay taxes to the central government

Northern nigeria has been doing this through Bank of the North, New Nigerian Newspapers etc

It's called regional integration. That was what Awolowo did years ago that made the SW a talking point in the country. Don't die a local man

They could have launched their bilateral cooperation under the DAWN Commission, an existing SW development brainbox.

Well, theory of class egoism dictates that Men would always want to separate selves from boys. It's now about heavily industrial states versus less industrial ones in the SW. Lol

You're right about the DAWN; it was actually my first thought when i saw the headline.
..but i don't think this new commission is specifically about heavily industrial states. If that's the motive, it would've been something like Lagos/Ogun/Oyo commission.
