Hello everyone, I'll be coming to Victoria BC in Jul. I was wondering if there's a WhatsApp group to join or if there's someone currently in Victoria. I'll be attending Royal Roads University in the fall and i'll really appreciate it if i can connect with people there. Thanks

Good day
Am a 200level physiology student and I would like to go and study nursing in Canada and I don't know how to go about it I need ur advice.
Can I get a scholarship or a cheaper school there?

The average tuition for international students in RPN programs in my province is 40k for the whole program. BSN may be higher. Personally, I believe there’s hardly anything that is impossible. Sometimes we just don’t have access to the right resources. I don’t have any information about scholarships but if you can put in the work and research, you may get some insight. There’s also the option of after degree nursing program but you have to finish your current degree to qualify. I know a Nigerian lady that got an offer in a similar program in Trent University (she studied Microbiology in a Nigerian Uni before moving to Canada). Again, these programs are not cheap, I have never come across an affordable Nursing program.

Ladies in the house please how easy and convenient is it to get a stylist in Canada that is good with natural hair? Especially in Newfoundland

I am considering cutting my hair before traveling as I wouldn’t want to be spending so much money on my hair as a student

When are you leaving Nigeria please?

Hi, I have a question for those that have travelled to Canada recently.
After my 3 days quarantine can I continue my 11 days in my rented apartment which I would be sharing with other people or I have to quarantine in Airbnb before I can move to my apartment.

Please I'd like to have more information from those in the field of power engineering. currently have an offer for the Power Engineering 4th class and another for Energy Management. Anyone working in these fields should please assist. cc Oga Salford, Einsteino, Pauloverdi & others who can help.. thanks

So true.

As per your questions: you can't go back to school and qualify for EI. One of the requirements for EI is that you have to be available for work..Being in school full time contradicts you being available for work full-time.
But you might want to research further on that. I am only talking from my own experience. Some people may have been able to do work around it. Especially that you are interested in online schooling. You know how all this thing's works. At tax time, you would be asked if you were in school anytime during the tax year. Your school will also send you a t2022 (tuition tax credit) or T4A (statement of income if you received nursery, scholarship or grant from school), and also send copies to CRA. So you want to make sure you qualify for EI to avoid owing when it's time to file.

For Power Engineering, about 2 years ago. Someone on here was able to get credits for some of his post secondary qualifications from Nigeria and experience working similar jobs on an oil rig offshore Niger Delta. I believe he was given his 3rd class certificate but he went through ABSA. He landed and lived in Saskatoon for less than 6month and got a job with Imperial in Edmonton not long after. Unfortunately I do not remember his username.

Na wa o. You came here to market your 'product' openly and someone has just asked what your exchange rate is and you are asking him/her to contact you behind the scenes.

I would normally pass when I see posts like these but because it's something that I'm interested in, I had to comment. And I'm sure there are a lot of people who are equally interested as well but just don't have the energy to do all those PM things..

Well, there's nothing wrong if you tell everyone here how much you do your exchange and how you go about it all. Infact, it adds some credibility to what you're claiming to engage in. Nobody wants to be unfortunate!

Please, landed and versatile seniors, help our ministry biko with respect to this inquiry. Personally, I've been searching everywhere in this thread with no success. As I was about giving up, I came across @Zodiacwarriors' post and that rekindled my quest. It makes it two people now who are in need of this info.

Kindly tag our posts with the exact page to go to. How I wish such info can be found on page 1 as we have in the FSW thread.

You may not find a comprehensive list in one post but there are definitely bits and pieces, here and there wink

Hi everyone!

I'm an HND grad; civil engineering with Upper credits - currently undergoing NYSC. After NYSC in 5 months time, I'm looking forward to furthering my studies in Canada. But I would love to know the ffl;

1. Which type of visa would you suggest for me?

2. What are my chances of getting the Canadian visa?

3. Total breakdown of costs from the application process till I get to canada?

4. Processes involved ?

Thanks.

Good day ednut1, I hope you're well and thank you for all your contributions to this forum. I know this post is from a while ago but I was wondering, is there any way I could get more information about this route? I've been doing research on this. If it's possible to contact the person who wrote this, or any other way to get further info especially on the aspect of starting a business. Thank you
