Some areas have cheap accommodation and Unis, but 3-6months you may not get student jobs. And rent dey there.

2) can you explain this ::: you (or your partner or child) must have this money for at least 28 consecutive days. The end date of the 28 day period must be within 31 days of the date they apply for their visa. ??

Your IHS fee depends on your course duration plus £235 for the extra 4-6 months granted in addition to the duration of your course
The surcharge is £470 per year for students not £475
1yr - 470+235 = £705
18months - 470+ 470/2 + 235 = £940
2yrs - 470*2 +235 = £1175

You can apply with the old passport number, you will still be asked to confirm your passport number and other details there. I hope your passport wud be ready then so you can easily give them the new passport number to replace.
