You clearly know little of the Afro-latino group. They are heavily marginalised, they suffer from colorism, they do not get a lot of opportunities, most of them live in low-income households or are straight up poor. The economic situation does not favor them, they are hardly ever projected like their caucasian counterparts, and the only way out of the hood for a lot of them, as with the black Americans, is sports.

The only difference is that, dem no dey carry am for head. It is the same way in Nigeria, there is a lot of marginalisation currently, but people just learn to live with it. African-Americans are just loud about their own, and perhaps, English helps people know more of their struggles. Only the Latino communities will be familiar with the struggles of the black people in places like Brazil.
