Big credit to the Nuggets especially Jokic. This man is fundamentally grounded in the game.. When you watch his footwork, his passing and movement without the ball on offense , you absolutely have to be amazed. They look like they want to get back to the conference finals..

The truth of the matter is this. In this era of ring chasing, neither LeBum nor AD can afford to just tank a post season because of injuries.

LeBum will be 37 by next season, 38 next year, he will be slower and less impactful, Father Time has caught up big time. He is not shooting more 3’s because he is hurt ( not saying he is not) but at 36, he is one injury from ending his career driving to the bucket, he knows this and that is why we are seeing more 3’s and facilitation, I think I said this weeks ago. We will see more of this style next season. The era of bullying your way to the bucket is nearly over.. Your mind/ head/ media/ fans tell you that you can still do it but your body tell you differently.

AD can’t stay healthy especially his lower body from his waist down and that has everything to do with his size.. We have seen it in baseball, football and other contact sports. So that means every season is a window to get that ring because there are no assurances. The window of LeBum/ AD may close faster than they imagined. They would have to protect AD better than they did this past season and then find another offensive star player to add.

The West is not going to get easier next season. Infact the main actors are either approaching their prime or are in their prime. The Suns/ Jazz/ Nuggets are young team and are not going anywhere next season. It’s the reality of the game.

At the end of the day, this Lakers can’t win jack without AD. He is the most important player on both ends of the court even the opponents know this.
