I’ve also experienced such pain too. To the point where I feel the pain at my left shoulder I thought it was normal. Thinking it will go after a few days, but it continued for so many months, and was getting worse over time I became suspicious cos I wasn’t doing any stressful work. So I decided to visit the pharmacy and I was given two drugs which cost about 2k and within days I felt very relived till today. But I still feel about 5% of the pain

This happen to me last year, just exactly wat u narrated, u will have some kind of cold feeling like u will drop dead, lose concentration. Keep checking ur heartbeat.. broda one thing if you will believe is mental issue, take away fear first, if not your heart will keep beating fast, the truth is u are fine. Nothing is wrong with ur system.. stop drinking or minimize alcohol intake.. take enough fruit and drink lot of water and be positive.. the last thing that help me was to tell myself d truth dead is real whether I fear or not it will happen.. so l decided to enjoy myself.. gradually all those things u love doing will that u are not enjoying anymore will start coming back.. now am better and my BP is below 140.. my heart rate at rest is 60-74.. although if i take Alcohol the pains will disturb for days and gradually dissappar without drugs.. the condition is not funny.. I felt like committing suicide then but prayers and word of encouragement from my wife.. do not. Hide anything from your parents.. u will feel like u are not in this world.. is well last last u will be fine.. then I stop driving but now am driving gradually getting my life back

I am a guy, currently 22 years of age. For some time in the past I usually have occasional chest pains which comes and goes within 10 minutes. I thought it was as a result of my sugar intake as I consume soft drinks a lot with little or no exercises so I decided to cut down on my soft drink to no avail because I always end up going back to it.

Fast forward to sometime last month, I traveled to Europe to get a medical degree and when I got here, I started living on junk foods, KFC and McDonald’s as I could not cook. The chest pain came back one night and I decided to complain to my dad. Immediately I complained to him, I became conscious of it and I started fussing over it.

I went to google and everything I saw about pains in the chest always leads to cardiac arrest, stroke and dying. I couldn’t stop thinking about it, I was always trying to check my heartbeat every chance I get. My dad said it was due to the junk foods so I stopped junk foods and soft drinks as my cholesterol could be high. I still couldn’t shake off the horrible feeling I got whenever I checked my heartbeat.

I started having panic attacks and difficulties with breathing and always feeling tired. I eventually went for check up and my heartbeat showed a beat of 68 bpm. I got checked by a cardiologist, neurologist and an orthopedic doctor and they all said my vitals looked normal, blood pressure normal, blood oxygen level normal, blood sugar normal except for the orthopedic doctor who told me I had to fix my slouching posture.

It’s been a week after the check up but my life isn’t back to normal. I can’t keep complaining to my parents because I gave them quite a scare with my first complaint and I know they have their own life to live but I’m just scared, I live alone in my apartment here and I’m new so no friends yet.

Anytime I check my heartbeat it still feels irregular,I can’t enjoy the foods I use to love, I get scared of doing strenuous exercises like jogging because I’ve heard stories of people who collapsed while jogging, i don’t enjoy my sleep anymore as I read that most people with cardiac problems die in their sleep.

For a week now, I have been going for evening walks to keep fit and exercise and I only eat once a day. I eat 2 apples every day and I swallow a capsule of omega 3 fatty oil daily. The only protein I consume now is salmon or mackerel fish because of their heart strengthening capabilities.

I can’t focus on my studies anymore but I can’t complain because I don’t want to bother my parents anymore but I’m scared. Some nights I wake up with panic attacks and every morning I feel happy for sleeping and waking up successfully. I hate how flawed the human design is. Sometimes I get distracted but as soon as I feel any slight discomfort in my chest, I check my heartbeat and it feels irregular. There’s occasional sharp pains in my head that goes almost immediately and sometimes I feel blood throbbing through my veins in different parts of my body. Tomorrow I’ll be going out to get an apple series 6 watch so I can monitor my vitals better.

Sorry for the long read, I just had to let all of this out.

I had to re log in to NL to make this comment after a long boycott.

You are not alone, I am having similar problem.

All signs pointed to heart disease, did ECG, was told blood flow to heart is low and was placed on medication with advice to see a cardiologist.

Cardio examined and concluded it was more of Ulcer. Yes ulcer sometimes have similar symptoms as heart attack.
Unfortunately, the drugs to increase blood flow to heart, and the drug to suppress ulcer work contrary to each other.

See a specialist and know exactly what is wrong.

With the right drug, the palpitations will stop.
I had to stop all kinds of Soda (soft drinks) completely. Reduce sugar, salt, carbohydrate, stress, eat more of fruits and veggies.

I felt better since then, though with fewer discomfort from the chest.

More importantly free your mind of worries, and anything that bothers you.

Personally, I stopped following football, stopped unnecessary arguments on NL and all SM, just anything that makes me agitated or become too emotional. (these are my personal prescribed solutions to myself ooo). If these things make you happy, please continue. I just try to stay happy.

Do a thyroid function test and iodine level test to rule out thyroid disorder. If the results comes out negative, then most likely you are having anxiety disorders, First stop checking your heartbeat and stop checking Google for your condition. It will only aggravate your anxiety. Try and do this for two weeks :
1. Stay off all sugars and drink plenty of water
2. Eat a lot of organic vegetables
3. Try and get at least 8 hours sleep a day. Reduce your browsing on social media. No browsing after 8.00pm
4. Watch your weight. Do you snore when sleeping?
5. Pray to God everyday and develop positive thinking

6. Practice intermittent fasting,

Consult your doctor and discourse the above suggestions with him before trying them,

May you have peace and calmness from God.

I guess you are suffering from anxiety, if after every checks are OK then be rest assured you are suffering from anxiety. The bad news you've been exposed to are actually playing games in your head, stop googling your symptoms if you don't have the heart, because one symptom can mimic multiple illness.

Now you will say it's not anxiety because all the pains you feel are real, yes anxiety can make them appears real and if not well addressed might comes to reality. The more you take your mind off from dying the more you enjoy good health. Eat well, don't eat like someone that's suffering from a terminal diseases, exercise well, then sleep well( 7/8 hrs daily, afternoon nap is good too). There is a drug for anxiety, I don't want to mention it here, meet with your doc.

Cut down your sugar intake and junk foods , check for ulcer and acid reflux. Pay attention but Stop checking your heart rate every now and then, you are accumulating fears that could ruin your health. You can't say because you are afraid of dying in your sleep then decide not to sleep, that even will bring death faster. Just free your mind, take new hobbies that will help you relax. If it persist, go for ecg/ eco test. You are young, go ahead and achieve your dreams and don't live in fear.

You need to explain your symptoms very well..
What you have is just Angina pectoris.. from your knowledge ans explanations your vitals are okay.. so it's pretty a case of maybe a minor angina pectoris..

Just go buy Nitroglycerin spray. And whenever u get tightness of chest or referred pain to the back, spray under your tongue(sub lingual) just 1 time.. it has a side effect of a slight headache.. but this will totally solve your issues.. also consider sleeping on your left side to ease blood flow.. remember in Medicine, resistance of flow is inversely proportional to radius of blood vessel.. which is R=1/r4
So therefore, a 270 degree sleep pattern will increase the radius 16 times more than the current radius..

Blessings!

Your condition is very likely to be Precordial catch syndrome. It usually occurs amongst young people, from adolescence to early twenties. It doesn't have a specific treatment as it usually goes away with time. Just exercise a lot, take enough water, and veggies. You'll be alright.
You can also read it up online.

Sorry.
I have similar issues. Seen a cardio, endocrinologist and some other docs. They gave me a clean bill of health. I do have an history of ulcer though which they suspect can be responsible for the chest pain.
I havent taken any carbonated drink in 8 months now and i can say i am better off.
I cant do fast paced walking for too long as i get easily out of breath. But i do take extra long walks(2hrs+) i always try to have at least 10,000 steps a day. The anxiety attacks have significantly reduced too. What i do is to test for anything i read online that bothers me. Its costly, but gives me peace of mind.
I have done thyroid function tests, scans(revealed a nodule),thyroid FNAC, HIV, hepatitis B and C, Syphilis etc (bought my own clipper right after). Just too many to mention. With every reassurance from this tests though, i found life much more easier.

Keep a healthy lifestyle and you'll be fine.

You did well to get off of the junk foods, start a healthy diet, and begin light exercises.
Continue the holistic approach. Hemp oil extracts with minute amounts of THC is popular these days for its calming effects on the body and mind. It won't make you high!
Being that you are in the EU you can easily get natural items to strengthen your heart and circulation.

Please research if you are serious about your heath.

Wheat Germ Oil contains octacosanol and is a dynamo for the heart.

Cayenne Pepper in capsule form or the spice mixed in a glass of water is also great for the heart.

Coenzyme Q10 is a top modern day product.

Hawthorn Berry Herb is great for the heart.

You don't need to worry your self bro, because i have pass through this stage before and talking from experience.

I know that most people may doubt me but that I know is your problem.

You are suffering from Gastric Ulcer , that have lead to Anxiety disorder .before I use to see ulcer as a just common sickness till I experience it.

You are not having any hart attack, HBP, Diabetic e.t.c and from your test results you are ok.

This worst thing you can do your self is to buy the High BP watch you said above, this will worsening your condition. Because you will bring your tormentor (Anxiety disorder )close to youself.

The way out

Go for this two test.

1. Staphylococcus Aureus
2. Ulcer

If the result is positive treat those sick.

For your fast Hart beat and other symtoms you complain about, anytime it comes, just stand up and lift your body up and make sure you standing pin your toes.
Then breast in and out slowly for like 30 seconds. Stop and now face your fear and tell your self in your mind with Faith I will not fear you again come and kill me if you can.

Anxiety is a coward face it and it will leave you within 3 week.

This how I handle my own case and I am now ok.

That is exactly what I am passing through. All the check up and medical analysis I have done show that everything is normal. I even did thyroid function test but it wasn't the thyroid am so tired and don't know what to do again

I understand what you're going through. Used to have it bro.

In fact it was extreme during my final year papers (2011 in CU). As I was writing a paper the attack came, I thought I was going to vomit blood, faint, and maybe have a heart attack. But I scaled through. (Thank God).

I also had serious narrow vision. And people were Iike my eye have gone deep in my sockets. It was crazy.

Heart palpitations. Hearing your heart in your ears.

One time reading for a paper in the night, I couldn't, I just lay on the bare floor in front of my friends looking up, because I felt like I was gonna lose my mind. I started having suspicion of everyone around me like they are all ganging up and are responsible for my predicament. I even had to tell my roomie to lock me up in the room one time cause I taught I was gonna jump from the top floor of the balcony where I was.

Well, the Doctor advised I had to try to have peace of mind and also gave me a drug that I had to be careful in taking if not I could become addicted.

It was a long year of suffering.

But there is no cure..per say....its your mind and nerves.

But I got delivered sha...(spiritually). That's another talk.

Mine was triggered because of a fear of something. (Thought I was poisoned while eating a food..but it was a hard drug)

Wow. Thank God for His mercies and power to heal and deliver.

Can you please be gracious enough to share your experience in details.

How it started, what drugs? Was it a case of addiction? Also, what steps were taken that led to recovery and total deliverance.

You don't know who will be helped or saved by your shared experience.

Thank you as you oblige.

These are symptoms of mental illness. You need therapy. Panic attacks and Depressions account for over 40% of suicide cases. These should not be taken lightly and you need all the help you can get

Nobody should make you feel low and you must not be shy of seeking the vital help you need. Often these cases degenerates cos the patients are worried about how others would view them if they speak out

There are various support groups online that you can join. These social interactions where you meet others with similar and potentially more worrying cases would help your psyche a great deal

Finally, note that, as in most cases as this, you are physiologically ok. There are no underlying illnesses. The issue is with your mind and a psychologist would be in the best position to tune your mind to accept this

Good luck

He has captured many of the critical points here. The issue is mental well-being and it is affecting a lot of people world wide now, the Corona virus couple with economic downturn and negative news are a factor to consider but most importantly is what you fear the most.

You need to fight off your mind from thinking about what your fear most to happen. The symptoms is just the heartbeat, chest pain and the likes, you need to think deep of what you have been thinking about lately or the hatred you arbor for something, it is disturbing your brain to function optimally. The sysnthoms are for depression.

Not satisfied, please see a psychiatrist.

I am a guy, currently 22 years of age. For some time in the past I usually have occasional chest pains which comes and goes within 10 minutes. I thought it was as a result of my sugar intake as I consume soft drinks a lot with little or no exercises so I decided to cut down on my soft drink to no avail because I always end up going back to it.

as you have done all the vitals and came out okay, it's obvious your mind is playing games on you. The mind is a battlefield. Be the commander not the troops
