Can even the worst in Europe be as bad as it is in Nigeria today my brother?
You obviously are clueless, like I said because a country is geographically in Europe don't mean shit. But people like you will learn the hard way.

So, visa is more important than your freedom to say the truth?
It is not mutually exclusive. Just make sure your life goals are clearly defined. The truth sometimes is a matter of context and perspective.

I don't think they care about your personal definition of the truth as long as publicly expressing your truth does not promote violence, endanger another person or in this case, the national interest of the country that you are trying to visit. Visa is not a right.

I have a White American who is interested in giving me an invitation. Please what is the difference between an invitation from your African friends, parents and well wishers and an invitation from a friend who is a white American? I don't want to waste my money so I'm still skeptical about requesting for it because I don't know if I will get the visa.
Any advice?

Once you have an job and good traveling history, travelling to the US is like drinking water. ..
You really don't need to panic or kill yourself...
Just appear simple at the interview with your ID...
Most times they don't even look at your documents.. Only few questions about you and what you do...
Don't appear desperate unless you have ulterior motives of not planning to return... And you might be granted 2-yr multiple entry visa even if it's your first time of applying... No biggie..
But note that having visa is one thing, then crossing the point of entry is another thing....

Doesn't matter wheter a white, blue, yellow or pink American is inviting you, what are your ties to Nigeria and are you coming back after your visit is what the visa officer wants to know

Why not pick up the points OP has made and move rather than assert your 'freedom of speech'. Freedom of speech doesn't mean throwing caution to the wind. There are times and places you apply discretion and tactfullness. That's why when the police shows their arrest warrant on you for whatever reason, you are adviced to remain silent until you reach the station blah blah blah. Above all, just know that in life, two things are involved in your utterances: they either make you or mar you!

In other words, just tell the goddamn TRUTH!
Because if you tell the truth, you won’t need to have a good memory. grin

And btw, if you’re homophobic…
Don’t be a HYPOCRITE, but rather proudly remain here where homophobia is official policy!

There are some agents that are friends with some consular officers. The consular officer is the CEO of his own window, he decides who gets accepted or not, regardless of whether you present documentation or not.

An ex-beauty Queen wrote she went to the American Embassy dressed in pageant outfit complete with a crown.

She was refused. I still find it funny, years after.

She was given when she went a second time dressed normally.

Simple maths, apply for Mexico visa in 2026, book for hotel in US and Canada to watch match there, if your destination is canada, then look for an African team playing there to support (if naija qualify and slated to play any match there the best).
Make all arrangements on time.

If you can't say certain things, then freedom of speech is just on paper only.
