OBAGADAFFI:Deeper life members .This got me laughing But all the same buying in tranches or dips does not necessarily translates to trying to recovering losses(except for traders perhaps), since most people that do that do so for the long term, it means getting the stock at a better bargain than you earlier picked it,which adds more value to your portfolio in the long term, however picking the dips, should be strategic, for some it could be 5-10% dip before they go for another tranch. 2 Likes |

ogedanny:Nice picks, but not too sure if the prices are right,we talked about mbenefits ,when it was around 0.20-0.21 sometime ago, seem high now, mansard was around 0.84 (intraday) last week,a good safety margin should be considered for some of this stocks, however it all depends on ones risk appetite 1 Like |

Nigeria is still punching far below its weight in palm oil production. There is room for expansion. I think most of the growth in PRESCO and OKOMU revenues comes from new trees planted fruiting. Yes some illusionary growth will come from increasing Naira prices of their processed products mostly as a result of inflation. To an investor this illusionary growth of riding with inflation counts as it maintains the purchasing power of the investors returns over time. But if there are no new lands to acquire and expand upon, a source of investor funds growth is muted. That's my thought based on the fact that they even revalued their assets at one time based on the facts that their palm tree seedlings are now oil producing trees. Hence if you cannot repeat that aspect of expanding area cultivated, shareholder funds and dividends will not enjoy that fantastic growth. The business will enter a plateau and sooner or later a decline phase if there is woeful management. emmanuelewumi: |

BabsO2: Presco just sent a letter to shareholders concerning their interest in buying Okitipupa oil palm plantation. Unfortunately Nigerians are not playing big in Agriculture. Okomu and Presco have foreign core investors Okitipupa oil that has Nigerian core investor is moribund. They will get more land, less than 20% of the land space in Nigeria are currently cultivated 1 Like |

This Zenith wants to leave N23. Abeg come back there today or tomorrow or latest next week. After all it appears there are more trying to sell than those trying buy based on those that have shown up in the market. But those of the sidelines we don't know which side them dey. yMcy56: 1 Like |

emmanuelewumi: Is it Okitipupa Oil Palm PRESCO wants to buy ? That looks like a mature Asset. However it all depends on price of purchasing it and them converting the investment to returns. With the kind of Know How PRESCO and OKOMU have I have no doubt they will do a good job in exploiting Okitipupa Oil palm that is currently failed to generate good returns. |

emmanuelewumi: PRESCO and OKOMU Stock price looks currently over priced. As most likely those currently in the bus don't want to part with their shares. Let me crunch my spreadsheet to see if current prices are a fair entry point. How do you rate their current prices ? |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by emmanuelewumi(m): 11:27am On Jun 17, 2021 |
BabsO2: What is their current PE ratio? What is there average earning growth rate in the last 3 years? I will choose Okomu ahead of Presco sha. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by BabsO2(m): 11:56am On Jun 17, 2021 |
emmanuelewumi: The 2020 PE ratios for Okomo and Presco are 11.6 and 13.7 respectively. I don't have their 3 year earnings growth rate. Indeed Okomu seem to perform better than PRESCO looking at one year earnings growth rate and PE. With Top Nigerian Banks like GTB having PE ratios of about 4 (and less for the other big banks) it makes this PRESCO and Okomu currently appear unattractive. 1 Like |

BabsO2: Considering the average 80% growth in the earnings of both players in the sector in the last one year and an average of more than 25% earning growth rate in the last 3 years, I think their current PE is not too expensive. Shareholders hardly sell sef |

emmanuelewumi:Okomu and presco are presently flying mainly because of the soaring international prices for crude palm oil at the minute... How long this will last is unknown... Don't be sucked into believing that this new found profitability is permanent... They are in a very cyclical industry... 2 Likes |
