The uninvited visitor








As the elevator shaft passed by windows upon every floor of the hotel.., Derek looK at Nerissa as the elevator passed the second floor..., he finally did it, what he's been yearning for for the past few days, he has gotten it but there's an unusual smile in her face that he doesn't understand, ever since he woke up, she's been smiling at him and when he asked her the reason for her smile..., she said she's happy....

"I'm really going to miss you...."Derek said pressing her against the iron barigade of the elevator..

"We're one now baby..."She said, smiles dwindling in the corners of her cheeks

Derek just smile remembering she said exact same words moments ago before they stepped into the elevator......, he must confess.., ever since he met her, she's been acting weird.., sometimes she say things that he never can comprehend..., but that is over now..., maybe in the nearest future, he might sleep with her again, she's hot, the way she handled him, no woman had scored that high before.., for a fact he'll like to have sex with her again but it'll just be that..sex.....

When the elevator reach the ground floor..., he took his face from her and they stepped out from the lift......

With a smile on her face.., she extended her hand towards him.., he smiled back and took her hands into his and lead her out of the hotel premises......

Madam Dora watch as Derek and Nerissa walk hand in hand from the hotel...., she needed proof to show when she tells Mrs Ibrahim about her boy..., Mrs Ibrahim has told her few days ago that Derek can never cheat on her...., she quickly took out her phone and took Derek and Nerissa a picture before she dialled Mrs Ibrahim number....

"Hello..."She shouted when the call connected....

"Dora where are you..."Mrs Ibrahim voice sounded from the other end..

"You won't believe who I just saw.."Madam Dora said fusing her eyes on Derek and Nerissa until they entered the car......

There was a brief silence before Mrs Ibrahim voice came again..."Who did you See.?"

"I just saw Derek with another woman..."

"Trust me...., it couldn't have been Derek you saw..."

Madam Dora nearly hissed at the statement...."I knew you were going to say that and that is why I took pictures of them..., they were walking hand in hand as if they were some couple..."

"Are you sure..?"Mrs Ibrahim ask from the other end.."You could be mistaken someone else's for him.."

"I'm not mistaken...."Madam Dora said..."I know what I saw...., don't worry I'm coming over to show you the pictures..."

A huff followed before Mrs Ibrahim voice came again....."I'll be waiting.."

The wine bottle was almost clear, suggesting that it was the sweet golden wine that gave it such a pretty hue....., Though the glass was doubtless a vibrant strong green, and the wine the deepest of reds... Jane wanted a wine bottle shaped more as an hour-glass so that her hand could fit around the middle more comfortably, or perhaps one of those corked fat bottles would be better, the sort that had a handle....., a smile that disappeared as it came surrounded her face before she pour two glass full of the wine..., she spun around with the two glass of wine and trot towards her friend...

"I know that smile.."She said to her friend dropping a glass of the wine in front of her......"Who is he..?"

Sonia her friend dropped her phone on the chair and turn her gaze to Jane, she flicked her hair and took up her glass of wine...., she drank a little and dropped the glass again......

"Tell me...., who is he..?"Jane said

Sonia manage a smile then she tossed a strap of her hair backwards....."Alright.., there is this guy I met at the supermarket and since then we've been chatting..."

"Is he cute...?"Jane cut in..

Sonia smile and readjust herself on the chair...."He is.."

"Somebody is in love.."Jane intoned

"Oh please..."Sonia dragged between her lips before she burst into laughter....

"So has he said anything yet..."Jane ask with a smile playing on her lips...

"Yeah.., he's been literally professing love to me.."

"And what's his name...?"

"Derek.."

Shocked, she shift backwards wondering if it's the same Derek .....
"Derek."She reiterates......

"Yes..."Sonia replied ....."That's his name..., do you know him..?"

Jane took a deep breathe and lean closer..."Do you have a picture of him...?"

"Yes..."Sonia said taking up her phone., she opened her gallery ......."This is it..."She said showing Jane the picture...

Jane wasn't surprised when she saw Derek.., the same Derek that had slept with her and dumped her...., typical Derek.. he abandoned her and went for her best friend.......

"Do you know him..?"Sonia ask curiously...

"He's the bastard..."Jane riposte

The plasma screen sat in the middle of the room like an unwelcome mirror.... Mrs Ibrahim tried not to look, but with it off the reflected thoughts in the room seemed so much worse than the real thing....., then almost without a conscious thought she picked up the remote to select the music channel and sat back, mind comfortably filled with thoughts of Derek...

When a knock came on the hotel room door.., she grudgingly stood up and drag her foot the door.., knowing who it was already, she turn the door knob down...

She walk back to the chair before Madam Dora walked into the room.....

"You're not going go believe this..."Madam Dora said dropping her bag to pick up her phone to show her the pictures she took...., when she saw them.., she handed the phone to Mrs Ibrahim to see...

"That's is it...."Madam Dora handling the phone to her..

Mrs Ibrahim brows knitted and quickly she shift her angry look at Madam Dora...."Are you crazy...., I thought you said you took pictures of the girl you saw with him..."

"Yes..."Madam Dora replied immediately before she lean closer to look at the pictures.."

"Where is she in the picture.."Madam Ibrahim queried

Madam Dora shuddered as she look at the picture.., she was sure she took a picture of their two together, but she can only see Derek in the picture.....

"You took a picture of only Derek...."Mrs Ibrahim said...."And you claimed someone was with him.."

"I can swear I saw their two together and I quickly took pictures of them."

"If you took pictures of them, then where is she.., why is only Derek on the picture. ..."

Madam Dora look at the pictures again just to reaffirm that her eyes weren't playing tricks on her....., she remenber vividly she took pictures of them...... and she was in the picture, how is she not in the picture now....
"This is strange. .."She mutter

Far down in the ocean the sunlight is a soft diffuse glow. Those once golden rays from above are only blue in the water now and the deeper Derek swim the less light can penetrate. The rocks are now silhouettes in the dim.. surely he was scared, he knows how to swing but never had he swin this deep and in this type of water..., as he look towards his right hand side..., he saw the fishes swimming alongside him...., he felt the temperature of the water drop, it wasn't like a winter chill, and it brought shiver to his skin...., though he felt free to turn and move as he wish and the ties of gravity faded to nothing......., Derek kicks deeper, feeling the pressure of the water against his skin.., he brood over his childhood dreams.., when he was younger he has thoughts of swimming alongside with fishes but something was different. ., something that scares him...he wasn't wearing any oxygen tank yet he was breathing under water.....

He was enjoying the water.., bashing in all its splendour, suddenly he heard something slapped against the water pushing a strong wave towards him......, he wanted to turn around, to see what it was.., what kind of creature could possibly make such wave.......but before he got the chance to look back, he felt two people grabbed his two hands..., his heart flew right out his chest as he manage to take a glance at one of them, the creature was large with limb bones and from the creature's waist down was a tail.., he has heard of such creatures...they call them mermaid...., the creature's head appeared to be a solid sphere, but it opened its jaw extremely wide to let out a snarl, unfolding its head almost like an onion and revealing rows and rows of yellow teeth. Its eyes appeared soulless, as they glowed a white color....., before he could let out a scream, they dragged him even deeper into the water.., little by little he began to feel breathless as water penetrates with every entrance into his body, he was drowning and same time dying.....

They finally let go of him and when he raise his head, he saw them everywhere..., slowly his eyes began to blur as his consciousness began to ebb.., he blinked but manage to raise his head to look at them one last time and that was when he saw her....., the last woman he had slept with....Nerissa. ...

She was beautiful as she was when he met her, but there was something different about her now.., she does look like Nerissa but this one has a tail and her tail was shimmering like nothing he has ever seen before. The way the light hit it was like magic. The colors were so vibrant that anyone could see it a mile away, And the scales… they were laid there so perfectly that anyone would think a goddess had placed them upon the mussels......., his eyes shut close as his body began to give way to unconsciousness, death even from too much intake of water but she grab him and knock him back to life, to reality.....

Fear seized him but he couldn't say a word, couldn't move, he just watch as they mumble words, he couldn't understand what they were saying..., but he knew he wasn't in the right place.....

A hand grab him.., he couldn't fight the monstrous hand, so he just stood as they engraved a mark in his hand..., he opened his mouth to scream.., but his scream only made bubbles in the water....., he needed to get out of there, so he continued opening his mouth to scream until he woke up from the dream. ....

He quickly jump out of the bed as he look everywhere to be sure he wasn't under water......, he inhale deeply realising he was still in his hotel room.., it's just a dream.., it's just a dream. ....

He felt nauseous and suddenly he threw up...., water splashed out from both his mouth and his nose....

Shocked he shift backwards as he remenbers the dreams......, fear seize every part of him and quickly he ran towards the wardrobe and begin to pack his clothes all the way wondering what the dream could possibly mean....

He watched as Derek step out of the car to open the gate...., when Derek opened the gate and entered his car to drive into the compound..., the man took out his phone and dialled a number....
He waited all the while watching Dersk as he drives into the compound. .

"He's back home boss.."He said over the phone when the call connected. ...

Don Frank flex his muscles after he dropped the phone, the bastard is finally home after weeks of hiding.., he walk towards a drawer and pull out a pistol, he checks for bullet, satisfied, he stepped out of the room into the parlour.., what he saw jolted him backwards..., and for a minute he was consumed with fear...., he finally summoned the courage to face who was sitting on his chair uninvited. ..., his brows knit before he pointed the pistol at her....

"Who are you and how did you get in here....?"He queried

Legs crossed, Nerissa look his way....."Where are you going...?"She asked him..

Anger build like wildfire inside Don Frank....... but fear was still lingering in his heart, how she entered his house was just what was running in his head....

"How did you get here.. .."He said still pointing the gun at her but what surprises him the most, she seem unmoved like she isn't afraid of the gun......

"I've come to warn you. ..."Nerissa said..."Derek is mine.., if you as much hurt a hair in his head, I'll drag you to the bottomless part of the sea and I'll throw your body to all the wild monsters of the sea to feed on until there's nothing left in you to bury. .."

The words sent Don Frank shivering...., but this is his job.., he has killed so many and he won't allow a common girl scare him........

"I don't know who you are or how you got yourself here. .., but I know I'll put a bullet In your head and fuvk your dead pussy until there's nothing left for the devil to enjoy......"

Nerissa smile and with that she disappeared. .........

Shiver rain down Don Frank spines, his heart began to race with tremendous speed as he began to look around the house but she was nowhere to be found...., just then he heard the door creak.., fear sent triggers to his hand as his head turn to face the door, his fingers circled around the trigger.....and his fear made him fire the gun......

When the person at the door drop down with his blood splash on the door. .Don Frank realise it wasn't the unknown visitor but one of his men that he actually shot....

Shocked, he rushed towards him.....
"Ben.."He shouted raising him up...

The man struggled for breathe, when non came, he gave up the ghost..

Don Frank mouth shook like a goldfish as the weight of what he has done came upon him......., he killed his own man....., he couldn't take it and the only way he could express his pain was scream...a loud cry of pain and anger....
