When you applied for the internship, did you disclose to the company that you are an overseas applicant?

You clearly can't apply for visit visa to work and I am unsure what sort of work permit, you will need to apply for on this occasion.

Good morning, please I apply for visiting visa since may27 and it’s over 15 days no reply for pickup yet. Is anyone experiencing such delays here or any cause for alarm. Thanks

Good evening Chiefs, I am a travel rookie who's applying for a uk visa to enable me write my plab 2 medical examination. I plan taking a bank loan to help me fund the trip and its ancillary cost. My question are: would my visa application likely be rejected because I have a bank loan on ground being paid for? Do visas get refused on account of bank loans? Thanks

if the visa officer will also know tht u have/had to take a loan to sponsor a trip, it simply means you can not afford the trip and are an illegal overstayer waitin to happen.
To prevent this, they will so gladly not give you the visa.
It is known tht one cnt attempt plab 2 without goin to the uk as it is only taken in the Uk but the onus is still on u to prove that you have sufficient funds for such a trip and will never fall back on public funds.

Good day guys,
I’m a single mom (26 years old) living in Lagos, my son is 3 years old, I work at coronation insurance affiliated with access bank. I would like to travel to the uk with my son this summer how can I go about it?

Apply for a tourist visa for you and your son

Have proof of funds

Then arrange a cover letter stating your travel Itinery: How many days you want to spend, Proposed spending during this trip, proof that you will return back which will include you employment letter, letter approving leave during your vacation, and if you have properties, and relatives in Naija, then this should be part of your cover letter.

As a single mum you would need to check if you need a letter of consent from the child's dad. I am not aware of this.

Your total proposed spending should ideally be a third or less of your total funds to sail through easily.

Elders could give more input, be this worked for me years back

Just be clear in your application or again see if you can write the exam in Dubai or any other centre (if that's possible).

You can explicitly say you borrowed the money to travel for the exam. That in itself doesn't make you an intended overstayer. It just shows you are determined to improve your career or prospects.

I'm also assuming you are a medical doctor.

Goodluck!

Yes I am. The second part of the exam can only be taken in the uk. My take home salary is roughly about 250k excluding expenses for a family of 3. The cost of the entire exam and prep would run into 2.5m..hence why I feel the loan would come in handy. I just don't know if it will be turn out to be a reason for visa refusal if it shows in my monthly bank statement.

I'm fairly confident it wouldn't. Just be clear and give this explanation you gave in your application i.e to ensure you have enough liquidity to prepare adequately for your exam and also meet your needs you took out a loan. You are not a tourist, you are coming to write an exam with intent to immigrate to the UK and practice.

My advice: just write a clear application. Add proof of whatever you say eg. Letter of appointment, exam details, etc.

Great. Good luck.

Ofcourse it goes without saying that you will need to highlight that the part 2 can only be taken in the UK and that you have already passed the part 1.

I tried searching for the answer on the thread but it was hard getting the answer. You can't search for things in a specific thread on nairaland embarassed I got unrelated results from other travel threads.

I do understand that only your parents can tender their statement of account as POF, else everyother person has to deposit the money in your account.

This said student will be sponsored by her sibling and is ready to deposit the money in her account.

The question is,
1. Can the student say that this sibling is the sponsor or she has to mention the parent?

2. Is there any point in the application where you're asked what your sponsor does? Because the parents can't sponsor as they don't earn enough to.

Sponsoring is not the problem, but how to make it official without leaving doubts for open questions. The sibling will be sponsoring the student; how do they package the app?

i am not entirely sure but i feel it is best u wait until his visa comes back OR use his COS to apply... his COS will carry all data about his skilled worker visa and will let the visa officer know about your maintenance(as a dependent) as well bcus it is mentioned on COS.
Just so u dnt complicate things further. As per refunds pls contact ihsrefunds via email to enquire
Check www.gov.uk

Thanks alot my visa has been granted. I was notified my application was not straight forward and once my husband's visa came out, mine was granted in less than 72hrs. Plese any advise on airlines. I hve been hearing amber, green and red zone countries. Does it mean its only british airline, virgin atlantic and klm/airfrance that can be used. I am allowed to transit through any country or a mandatory £1,750 will be required of me for hotel quarantine in uk if i transit through a red zone country. Thanks

pls dnt mention loan. Lots of denials flying up and down even though they know part 2 is only taken in Manchester. Go and read naseers blog, use his plab 2 visa application letter and understand what i am saying. Use also his guide to obtaining a visa for the exam. Even though u are coming for an exam, you must show that you have home ties to Nigeria and you can adequately fund your trip. For u to understand the thought process of the visa officers on this plab 2 matter, check plab and plab2 pages on facebook.
They just want to see your ties, obtaining a loan to fund a visa trip is not the way to go about it.
They know after plab 2 comes working in d uk, but heck you are not there yet and they have to assess your application as at what is the matter of the moment.
Lots of ppl in same shoes, once again join PLAB and PLAB2 pages on facebook and ask this question there- you will understand better what I have said.

let the money be in the student’s account. They want to see it in the student’s account or the parent’s
They wont ask u about source of funds for student visa.
If u are asked on the form. Simply say you are sponsorin or parents sporing.
If u want to over stress urself, let the sibling send to the parent, then the parent transfers to the applicant.. such hardwork
For more understanding of wht i am saying- check the tier 4 student visa page on nairaland

Hello House,

Please I want to invite my mother inlaw (over 70yrs old) for 'omugo' (Child care) for our new baby. Please I need help on the following.

1. Hope I can use my own statement of account since my wife has not started working since we got to UK. (Since I am not her direct son)
2. My mother inlaw doesnt earn income again since she retired a long time ago, is it compulsory she present her bank statement with fund?
3. If she has to present her bank statement, what amount is okay to be in her account for the 6 months visit?
4. What other document is necessary for her application.

I will appreciate responses.
Thank you.
