They wont ask u about source of funds for student visa.
If u are asked on the form. Simply say you are sponsorin or parents sporing.
If u want to over stress urself, let the sibling send to the parent, then the parent transfers to the applicant.. such hardwork
For more understanding of wht i am saying- check the tier 4 student visa page on nairaland
Thanks for the response.

I honestly wouldn't have an idea. Cost of flight tickets depends on a lot of factors.

Yes. They emphasise more on dob and red flag for denial. Visit waec office with your birth certificate and application letter notifying them the error. Once confirmed by waec your correct dob, they give you a temporary notification in form of letter which u can still use for your application pending the original certificate is ready.

In the time before they phased out transit visas, they were easy to get, sometimes the airlines would take care of that.
Now that everyone has to give biometrics for Schengen visas, you will need to turn up in Lagos or Abuja and do the whole visa application centre process.

Note that the price of two one-way tickets usually exceeds the price of 1 round-trip ticket, or at least that used to be the case pre-Covid.

What are the types of visa available

I'm joing an investment company in London as intern which will later become full time Job after 10 month internship.

So what kind of visa should I apply for?

I presume your employer knows that you are outside the UK and will need a visa to take up this internship? That being the case, you will be applying for a skilled worker visa.

As someone else said, your company should give you some information about the process. They will also provide you with a CoS listing their details and a reference number for you, etc. You will have to take an English test, or get a degree evaluation and get a tuberculosis screening, so go to the student visa thread and see what the process for booking for that at IOM in Lagos or Abuja is like, from what I've been reading, it's currently booked up because this is the rush period for student visas.

The visa used to be called Tier 2, and things were changed in December 2020, I'm not sure by how much - I have someone who just travelled but she went under the new Health and Care visa, which would have been Tier 2 up to last year, so check here for easily understandable and absorbable info: https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa

Lol how am I lying? I don’t understand, even if you call hmrc, do you think hmrc will give me my Ni number over the phone considering I am calling from Africa. I worked 12 years ago and not 10 years ago, I only came back 8 years ago and if you studied accounting you will know most firms don’t keep accounting records for more than 7 years . Don’t call me a liar just because I asked a question on this forum, it’s wrong.

These things are hard to get if you are not in the uk, I am sure if I was in the uk , I would have been able to fill a form and send it to a tax office or walk into job centre to get this information.

Don’t call people liars , it doesn’t speak well of you. After all if you wanted to answer you would have answered me since.
Just because someone asked you a question, you just think you are mr know it all. Wisdom is profitable to direct, use it please.

You're correct.
Nobody will give you that information over the phone, even if you were calling from inside the UK.

Hello everyone,

I'm a medical student applying for an elective at a hospital in the uk. i've previously done electives in the uk before covid but now it's difficult to get electives as hospitals aren't taking overseas students due to covid. I was able to find one but one of the things they need is a dbs check. Now i haven't committed any offense in the uk or any other country so i know the dbs check will come back saying i have no offenses but i'm just worried that the police will now have record of my name, passport and other details and dont want to be in under their radar. Also i dont want them thinking i'm coming to the uk to work on a visitors visa cos they might not understand why the hospital is saying i'm their incoming employee so they need my dbs when its just an unpaid medical student elective. What do you guys think or advice? Thank you.

Lol.
My brother, in today's world, the day you applied for that first visa and gave your first set of fingerprints, your information is now stored in the databases of the 9 Eyes countries, and is already accessible to those countries' authorities anyway. Requesting a DBS check doesn't bring you any particular scrutiny, it's routine.

Good afternoon fam! Please I'm here to get some help/information with the UK visit visa... Bear with me this would be a little long.. thanks.

I'm 31, single, no kids. I applied for a UK Visa in 2006, then as a minor but, insufficient fund was the reason for refusal then. My father lives and work in the UK, in his 60s and wants to send me an invite to visit for December, I'd be staying with him during my visit. I'm looking to put in by November, God willing. I'm into film&TV production, I'm also an actor, with a registered business since May, 2017, with a certificate from CAC. I run three different bank accounts, one is the corporate acct for my business, then a salary acct and another for savings. I can't specifically determine how much I make annually as it's not fixed. However, since my father told me he'd be sending an invite, I've started to run my two other accounts. I pay the sum of 240k with the narrative "salary" into one acct, monthly, then transfer 140k out of the 240k, with the narrative "savings," into the other acct, which I'll tender its statement as my "savings" for the trip: I'm looking to having about a million naira in the savings before I tender the statement, by God's grace. Before now, it was just my business account that I use often.

Please, I'd like y'all to guide me on the running of my accts, Am I doing the right thing? Do I just submit my Salary acct and Savings acct 6months bank statement? I don't think they need my business acct bank statement for anything, since two bank accounts already shows salary and savings. Also, I don't pay tax, just electricity bill and DStv. Also, what documents should my father send in support of the letter of invitation he'd be writing? I have no landed property yet. Just some clips of my work, film and TV production. I was in Dubai in June, 2019 with a PTA (personal travel allowance) of $578 which was stamped on my Int'l passport. Thank you fam for the help. Blessings.
