Janet200:Ok,let me help. I believe you aren't an EE person so you just posted those schools randomly based on his profile so no issues. TTU: doesnt meet minimum GRE requirement but GPA is ok. He can mail the GC but will need to get a PI for PhD funding. This is moderate for his profile. NCAT: lower Quant score but can go ahead to mail the GC for possible admits and funding. Still moderate for his profile. Iowa state: ambitious for his profile for PhD. MSU: I noticed few minutes ago that they are waiving the GRE for fall2022. So, safe for his profile but will also need a supervisor. He can check st.cloud state, UNC Charlotte( I declined an RA here), Norfolk State University ( they use GRE for funding but can give it a try since not a competitive school but needs Wes), the University of south Alabama,West Virginia University & Western Michigan University ( 2 profs wanted to give me an RA here but declined the offer). Best to him .. |

HushTee:Finally, I found the transcript of someone in my shoes. I am a Turkish Government scholar (I just completed my masters program in Statistics). I got married to my Turkish wife this year and we are planning to go to embassy in Ankara Turkey and we hope we would be interviewed by the same VO at the same time like you and your wife. I got a funded admission for masters in Mathematics (Biostatistics concentration) program in Georgia State Univeristy Atlanta -Georgia with $57k COA and a deficit of $4360 (it should be a surplus of $150 if i didn't add my wife as dependent). The problem is I have been denied twice in Nigeria for B1/B2 visa and twice in Turkey for B1/B2 visa and J1 exchange program (work and travel). I don't know our stand now. I have since gotten travel history when i went France for a conference and i have also finished my masters here. I am curious about my chances this time being that I am almost fully funded with graduate assistantship job as a Lab Assistant in the department with monthly stipend. What do you think guys? N/B: Also as regards to hiding of school name and all, I think that by hiding school names the purpose of this page is being defeated. If we argue that people should do their homework and not depend on other people for school name then maybe this page should be closed because everything we get here can be gotten at the click of a button on Google. I am a very open person and believe that no one knows it all. Can all the people that support the motion of hiding school name beat their chest here that they have not learnt one r two things from this page? I am not against the hiding of school name for my own benefit ( I got more than the 10 US schools I applied to on my own), I am only saying it for some people that may not be like the few that knows how to get their information. This is because everyone is created differently. I rest my case! Peace! |

sslooss:If the date for emergency interview Abuja comes out, will you still have the Chance to pick the date or will you have exhausted your lifeline? |

Worry not. Just look straight into the eyes of the VO and be confident while talking about this. Let him/her understands that he is your uncle who is as a father figure to you. Mention his name and explain that he is the owner of the company and what he does. Explain why hes sponsoring you (the bond) and show that he's very capable. All the best bro. God's grace will speak for you. jossyco: |

You wil definitely be interviewed by the same VO because you'll move through the queues together as a family. I think that if you have other sources of funds to cover the deficit (the source stated on your i20), just go with the evidence (bank statement), and prepare good answers, you should be fine. tonero4urch: |

You would fill different ds160 for each. Only a sevis fee is paid. For the sponsorship, the main applicant (student) may put in school while dependents put self Emerald1529: |
