They are playing really well. The shots are just falling for the Suns. 50% from 3

They were terrible offensively, especially that Jrue. Missing pointblank lay ups. Ffs

Just see Middleton!!!! Shea them they flex against the hawks, now see a better team with good coaching him don disappear. grin grin grin grin this is the same team some clowns say play better without giannis? I laugh in swahili. Without giannis this team is not different from the current pelicans, hornets and low levelled teams etc.

On a night like this when Giannis was on fire you would expect the supporting cast to do just enough to help secure the win. But no, they chose today to combine for 32% shooting. Very unreliable.

Oh I definitely agree with you about Him being extremely inconsistent. I have said it many times that I don't think He can be your Number 2 Guy and I stand by that until proven otherwise. However He, He has really stepped up big time this postseason. Go through His run of games this post season and you'd see that He has been absolutely immense. I have to give credit to whom it's due.

The Less said about Bud the better. I don leave hin matter to amadioha.

No doubt he stepped up in games this season, but he's supposed to be the closer and ball out on a day like this when Giannis is doing it all.

With the way the sun's played it should have been a wrap from the second quarter but Giannis brought them back in the third all they had to do was suppress their demons and go all out but na that day him decide to go cold.

Same person perkins was calling the best player on the team? Americans and Britons can be very deluded when making a case for their own.
I just dey so livid honestly, they don't know when next they'll be in the finals, no be this kind day him suppose go cold. I pray they get it right at home. But moving forward the bucks cannot rely on this guy to be the No 2 option.

See coach bud playing Portis only for 5 minutes, the guys a moving bucket too, see I just tire.

Booker for sure. They would rather CP3 go off than Booker go off. If you try to stop him from getting to his sweet spot, he will punish you by helping his team score. So you live with that floater. Less poisonous than a 3pter, or 2 points in the paint and potential and-1
The only reason they would let Paul leave rather than booker is just due to booker having far more years ahead of him. It's easier to get another booker in this same nba than getting another cris paul.

Did suns or mavs ever reach the finals with Nash? Cant seem to remeber. Man he was deadly with the suns though. 18 assists per night. But CP3 is not a Nash - he is not that offensively gifted. I do not expect him to even average 25 pts a night - he is not a pure shooter. Or even a scorer.
yeah, nice reminder, he didn't get to the finals with suns. Paul is naturally not a Nash. But see this playoffs, he has been that offensively-gifted.
This was exactly what we expected of him when he came into the league in 04 with Deron Williams.

IT is the only one that reminds me of CP3. Nash was a liability on defense. Hardaway was a baller, not a championship PG
But Tim hardaway instantly became a championship PG immediately he got into the Heat in the late 90's under Riley.

no doubt. and I dont think there will be a replacement in the NBA[/quote]

Shaq addressed this in coded language the other night. He called Jrue a professional, that will do exactly what he is asked to do. And that is what kenny smith meant when he said, as a role player, you have to be stubborn enough to still take your own shots on some nights.

Those 42 points from Giannis were empty points. Jrue had been aggressive early on, but they were down by 9pts or so. While Jrue was running a play Giannis barked for the ball, and Jrue hesitated, killed the play and gave up the ball. From that point until mid 4th quarter, he just passed the ball, rather than take shots he was taking earlier. By the fourth Q, most Bucks were cold because there was no meaningful ball movement other than Giannis taking shots. Bucks consistently lost on 50/50 loose balls in the last 3 minutes.

So Giannis had a great game at the expense of team chemistry. Like Shaq said, "professionals" wont say jack, just move on to the next game. Jrue and Middleton will let you pick which version you want per night.

Gregor has had ample time to get his game back on track. Most especially that gas tank. That was what caused him the victory the last time because he actually looked like KOing Poirier a couple of times early on.

How much more shots do you expect Robin and Batwoman to take na? grin Jrue took 21 shots. Giannis took 22. Middleton took 16. Even though there was no ball movement, all those guys can go get their own shot, and that's what they've basically been doing this off season. Ball movement na for guys like PJ and Brook.

Batwoman grin

Cant find any stats to back me up, but Jrue and Middleton took a lot in the first quarter, and at the end in the 4th. I dont think the raw stats tell the full story. Like all the times Jrue would get into the paint and kick out to the 3pt line, vs taking the shot himself

No no no no no no. I know you're not trying to blame Giannis for Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday combining for 28 points on 38 shots!!! Not even the GOAT Michael Jordan would survive such incompetence. No player in league history will survive such rubbish play

This narrative that Giannis was somehow and in anyway the problem is problematic and needs to die swiftly. Is it Giannis that was making Jrue miss from 2 ft? Jrue took 14 shots in the first half. He only made 3! Two games vs a Trae Youngless Atlanta and everybody is forgetting how terrible Jrue has been these playoffs

Giannis play in the 3rd is the only reason that game didn't finish in a 35 point blowout. He's the only one with a positive +/-

The floor of the Bucks two other best players is unacceptable. Giannis on a bad night on his worst night will still give you 20 and 13 with 50% from the field. Jrue and Middleton on the other hand will go a combined 12/40. They will both play terribly on the same night and somehow people expect the Bucks would win?

The Bucks are a team seemingly determined not to play to their strengths. The difference is unlike Brooklyn these Suns have the personnel to punish them. Phoenix's role players are far better than Brooklyn

The Bucks wasted a huge game from Giannis and if Middleton and Holiday can't shine with Giannis on the court then that's on them.

I get your point.

But to be fair, the NBBF is among the best if not the best-run Nigerian sports federation. I’m impressed by how they’ve gone about organizing training camps for the national teams, and hiring competent coaches.

Besides, we do not hear the usual stories of players being owed bonuses or appearance fees.

Coach Mike Brown has brought some shooting to this team. 20 made 3-pointers on 42 attempts. Great ball movement too, and a lot of effort.

This BLOCK on KD was my highlight for the night.. Didn't see this coming. I watched the game saying if we lose, we don too try, but these guys won. I was just saying, so it's been the coaching all along. Great team effort. That Agada na confirm baller, I been dey vex say the name make the cut as I have not really heard the name much, but the guy surprise me. I think Pop has lost it, I don't expect much from Team USA, unless the main guys on the team step up big time.

Yea. I was advocating for Agada to be dropped as I hadn't really watched him play. But it seems he can ball.

But overall we're better because of the coaching and also because of the talent we've pumped into the team. I don't think this is a team that can be blownout by anybody, even a highflying USA. We could lose but we'll always compete against anybody on the planet.

I was really impressed by the showing of the Tigers. They moved the ball extremely well and penetrated the weak interior defense of the US. With that being said, I would like to see them play this level of intensity and discipline when the Olympics start. We hit our perimeter shots especially the 3, I think we hit like 20 or so.. Can they do same when it matters?

As for the US, the way the team is constructed makes it easier for opponents. There is absolutely no interior defense or even perimeter defense on this night. The combination on the court would determine how far this team will go else we would be relying on individual brilliance. A good team will use the pick and roll to tear this US team apart. While I understand some players in the finals will join the squad, I don't think it will much of a difference in terms of strategy.
