Anyone has any news on FTNCOCOA? It's currently getting attention

It was moving some months ago, and there was no significant news that served as a catalyst for its movement. I generally stay away from these rubbish stocks

Real estate as an investment class in Nigeria is nonsense. I keep saying this all the time.

Real Estate is nonsense?
Why do you said so? I have seen someone that bought land that did 100% in less than a year.

If you're not inclined to insurance stocks just stay away from them, don't buy because of another person's convictions. You may look the way of fundamentally sound stocks.

As for STI, if you feel like buying some, you may pick at low junction around 25-27kobo and take lots of drugs of patience.

I think Lasaco may be a good choice too......At current price, 1.39, Lasaco is trading @ 0.34k.....or let's say, 0.35k...........still awaiting release of result......IF it comes out fine, the coy may pay dividend. DD applies.
@SonofElElyon
Hope you picked some units of these stocks the time you asked.......or your brokers said don't pick again......
50% or more is likely loading in STI......... Patience and DD as always.

Going back to base I suppose...
This is a seasonal stock that comes to market once in a while...
If you're not a long termer, I expect that you should have done justice to it when it peaks......

Whenever banking stocks witness rise in prices, I do play sterling bank.I used to play fcmb in those days.
The sharp rise in sterling bank during bull is commendable.
Think FCMB is still far better than this your sterling self.

I am sure he meant real estate as an investment in Nigeria is rubbish. For personal use, it is a personal decision.

For investment, lets quickly use this rough estimates

Lets say you want to build a house in a very good area of Lagos(good area for the security of your property). Land, government papers and building lets say N50m. You decide to find tenants for this house at 2.5-3M/year. That's a 5-6% return on your money every year that's assuming everything goes as planned. No repairs made to the house in the course of that year. Everyone here knows how easy it is to get 6% from NSE. Some savings account will pay you 5% just to hold your money.

Next argument is houses appreciate, well they also depreciate, not very common but it happens. Also, Nigeria has a history of tenants not being consistent with rents. Some people have still not paid their rent for 2021, and this is July.

Real estate in Nigeria has never made any sense to me personally. I will probably change my mind if there was a way to get a mortgage at a reasonable interest rate.

Yeah. I Will go the line of hold.

Someone here gave a detailed analysis of the true value after combining Risks and Reward and he came up that it should not be selling less than N1:80, this was when @ukay2 asked his opinion on UPDC.
I think those Custodian guys knows this but almost pulled that MTO stunt at @90.

**Pls. Not a Recommendation.
