Limerick is good but generally Ireland has house crisis.
Don’t worry about the job now, just finish and you can work anywhere in Ireland.

How about Limerick? Also, do you have an idea about the job prospects for clean energy storage in Ireland. I did a little digging online but it didn’t amount to much.

You might be looking at a research role with this course. A better option is to go for Sustainable Energy Engineering like I did. The prospects are really good. For Energy storage, you will be limiting yourself to a part of Sustainable Engineering and with SEE you have a wider job market to move into after your studies

Hello guys, please I want to ask something.
Anybody here that submitted student visa appeal between February, March, April, and May 2021 and yet to get response.

I submitted my appeal in March 2021 and am yet to get a decision on it.

Though, I mailed the embassy last month and I was told that they are still attending to 2019 appeal. Am wondering how the embassy is still processing an appeal made in 2019…or is it a typo error from the person that responded to my email.?

I was also told as well by the embassy that approximately 50 appeals are ahead of mine and that my appeal will be process soon.

Am I, the only one in this situation.? Please I need input and response from the house.
what were you refuse for

Hello everyone.

I applied for ireland study visa on June 9th, and I just received a call from a UPS delivery guy saying he will bring me my documents tomorrow. But I am yet to receive any email from Vfs or the embassy with regards to the decision that's been taken on my visa application.

I have also checked the website where the weekly decision reports are normally published and mine hasn't been published yet, it will most likely be uploaded on Monday.

I'd like to know if me not getting an email from vfs / the embassy is a normal occurrence.

Thanks.

Hi,
Kindly confirm (from tracking your application) when your application was received in Abuja. I don’t know if it may show your decision from tracking though.

Your decision report will be published on Monday and that is when you will get an email regarding your decision.

Yes, I tracked my application, and it says that it arrived in Abuja that same day - June 9.

Well, let me see how it goes when I get my documents tomorrow. Thank you.

I have seen some persons getting decisions without their application number been on the list.
No need panicking. You will get to see the decision on your study visa application by tomorrow when the courier man delivers it to you.
All I can say to you is good luck.!

First of all, congratulations in advance, hopefully, you got the visa approved, positive vibes only. You’ve ‘heard’ from the embassy by a call from the delivery guy. To my knowledge, not everyone whose visa is either approved or refused gets a notification from the Ireland Abuja Embassy.

Cheers.

Not everyone is listed on the visa decisions page. God willing it would be good news.

Louiscares:

Hello Sarto

In addition to what @Dwebb and ICASNg said, you might want to still do a research on how you could practice as an optometrist, or immunologist. I mean what are the criteria to be a member of their respective bodies. Do you need to write additional exams, get certified ,have work experiences etc.

For example, I know someone who studied Medical Science in Nigeria and came to Ireland to study MSC Pharmacology, but he is now working as a Medical scientist in a government hospital in Ireland. He had some work experiences back in Nigeria as a Medical scientist and also got his Nigeria certificates verified with the relevant body in Ireland to practice as a medical scientist.

This might not apply in your case but I am just saying you should research on the criteria if you haven't already done so. You can get prepared ahead by contacting the respective bodies while you are in Nigeria and get all the necessary documents ready before travelling to Ireland. (Google the association).

Goodluck.

Louis

Yes for optometrist one needs to write an exam to be certified to practice as an optometrist in Ireland.

Sorry for the denial.

Did you neglect to submit payslips? Or did your bank statement not indicate that you were receiving income?

Good afternoon,

I’m asking these questions on behalf of someone who wants to apply. The person can see the responses but she’s not registered because she’s not getting the email verification link to complete registration.

1.) How much in Naira should a visa applicant have as balance for POF after paying complete tuition? Please note that she is self sponsoring.

2.) What exchange rate does the embassy use to convert the Nigerian naira balance to Euro for POF?

Thanks to any or everyone that responds.

Usually, proof of funds should be minimum of €7,000 + about N1,000,000 to N2,000,000 depending on monthly expenses, size of family (spouse and kids) with a clear explanation of the source of funds ( be it salary or business), analysis of lodgements made above N100k and other deposits. Do not leave anything out or assume it is not significant. One can use any online converter for the conversion to euro, but state the source and if possible add a snapshot showing the conversion rates
