This doesn't make any sense. If they pass through your system, and would have to write an exam to prove their first class grade, is that not a pointer to a porous system? The test is not for the students really It is for the critics of the school, as well as potential employers of the graduating students, who think that the school is passing otherwise mediocre students with first class so that they can look good to the rest of the world. One criticism.....founded or unfounded.... levelled at private universities in Nigeria is that they deliberately pass students to give their school a good name.
