When you book an appointment, you're sent a 2 page pdf sheet which contains the information you require. Amount could have changed since the time most of us did ours.

When I booked yesterday at IOM Ikeja, we all did at the entrance. Numbers were given and we went all in. No 2page document was given that is the problem.

First time I booked early last year, we were all given those details. Reasons why i am here to ask for help.

I am currently at the Bank to make payment but i want to be sure of the details and amount i have gotten.

Hello Amiecandie,

What items were stated as verified? The "compliance verification required" is now a common occurrence that can be seen in 7 out of 10 GCMS notes recently.

If the remark on the notes for your bank statement verification has not been entered or stated as "no adverse," it will be a good idea or advice to immediately go to your banking institution to have them forward an updated financial record using their official platform while you do the same at your end.

Thorough financial verification has been done for all study permit applications filed since January 2021. If this is not the same as the compliance verification intended by IRCC, and if your IELTS and admission letter have been stated "confirmed" on your notes, then maybe they are conducting some additional verification based on their discretion.

Hopefully, it reflects confirmed soon. Stay calm.

Best of Luck

Thanks for your detailed response.
it is only showing compliance verification required under DLI

Ok now, taking note, Gracias!!

But can I go with my GOYA Extra Virgin Oil, if yes, should i leave the content in that glass bottle (mine is quite big like a Coke bottle and can break if it falls on the ground) or I should pour the content into a Plastic table water Bottle?

Walking Google please turn it into a plastic bottle, that's lighter and safer. I recommend plastic coke bottle, it's not flimsy like most table water bottles and it seals well. Don't forget to cut cellophane and put on top of the bottle before capping it. That will doubleguard against any spill. Do this with any liquid or semi liquid you're traveling with.

Also make sure you check it in, you can't take more than 100ml of any liquid in your hand luggage.

Second Application: July 11 2020
Upfront medical- July 10 2020
Refused- August 23 2020
Judicial Review- September 2020
Settlement offer- October 2020
Application reopened- December 10 2020
Medical passed- February 28 2021
BVL- March 11 2021

PPR- August 6, 2021

My application was quite complicated—
*at the time JR was done, I didn’t have an admission anymore (the college had even refunded me); I had to look for a new school (different program and province) and upload new LOA within the 30-day timeline.
*According to the GCMS notes I got in June 2021, PPR was issued in April for the old LOA, and this was later cancelled after the visa officer noticed the new LOA.

So I arrived at MMA, all those serious looking bag boys carried my luggage, I think say them be better people until they told me I needed to buy yellow card 6 thousand naira that without the yellow card, I won’t be allowed to board or immigration will charge me 200 dollar, well I quickly made it clear to them that I came to the airport with no money atall not even dollar….I nor get money to waste.

Flight was by 11pm check-in started by 4PM they asked for my
Enrolment letter
Acceptance letter
School fees receipt

The airline staff (KLM) verified the documents, Omo one fyn woman..I nor just understand just squeeze face Dey say 3 weeks to resumption…Omo I being 1 faint …after snapping those documents I mentioned earlier, I was asked to bring my covid test result…then I realize I’m good to go

If you are traveling..buy snacks or anything put for your bag….hunger almost kill me.

So when I arrived Toronto airport; officer asked me if I have been accepted by the school I’m going to, I said yes, and he said if I have proof I told him yes and should him my acceptance letter.
He was observing the letter then I gave him my letter of introduction without him asking grin
Then he ask if I have paid my fee .. I told him yes and gave him my receipt…he observe the receipt and he said …oboy your admission letter say 15k then why did you pay 3k …..I just smile and said ….we are allowed to pay per the courses you are offering and I will be offering only 3 courses that’s why I paid 3k …..he just node head
So I told him I have my covid result…he asked me to bring it.
Then he started asking me some questions, Omo …I think the officer was looking at my file and asking me questions from there. I realize that when he called the name of my sponsor grin. And asked about his job. I told him every every.
So he ask if I have proof of funds….I told him my sponsor refused to give me grin (I forget to carry o)
Then final question..what will you be doing till your school resume….I told him quarantine grin
So he printed my study permit Nd SiN stuf …..Nd started advising me that I can work for 20 hours then holiday time, I can work for 40 hours….and I can go back to Nigeria for visiting (I just shake my head for my mind).
So that’s all….then I was walking down to the next part I started hearing…hello sir, hello sir , hello sir…..I didn’t bother looking back ….I nor believe say immigration officer go Dey call me sir….I finally looked back, it was d officer and he gave me one of my print out that I forgot with him grin……

So I went to claim my baggage.
After that, I went to do covid test, then after that …went to one joint to wait for my shuttle to my hotel. Nice hotel nice view, Everything went smooth and I thank God for a safe trip.
Wishing everyone coming this fall Safe travels.

I use style like their food sha.

Good morning house

Please, I’m a HND holder, i studied Civil Engineering with over 6years experience in Construction as Project Site Engineer/Manager.

Please I will like to apply for a student visa in Canada with my wife (no child yet).

I need advice on either to apply for another 2year Diploma course in Building Engineering Technology (Construction Management) which is a bit cheap at NBCC compare to other colleges. What's my Visa approval chance, considering that I have HND in Civil and years of experience?

Will it be fine to consider 1year Project Management PG certificate considering the goal is to just Japa patapata lol, Saying this because of the required 2years duration of PGWP?

Kindly suggest affordable institutions that offers post graduate diplom in Construction / Civil Engineering related courses.

N.B: Wifey studied Science laboratory Technology (microbiology option) HND, with over 5years experience working as Medical laboratory Technologist. Any suggestion too will be appreciated

Thank you All

@FRANK, SHUPPY, LEKIBOBOE, JUSTMELLOW, SPECTRO, and other GURUS here. Pls, I need your urgent response.

Best regard

Hello Yomite22,

I will not advise you to opt for a Diploma after an HND study rather a PGD/C. If you could not get a direct 2-years program, the 1-year Edguy option is okay as you can enroll in another 1-year study program to qualify you for the 3-years PGWP. If the program is 1-year and has a work-integrated learning component as part of its study curriculum, go for it.

Ensure any gap study is justified.

Best of Luck

Hello Rani001,

The 10 spots are filled.

This is only applicable to those whose resumption is for Winter 2022 and intends to submit "only" in 1 month upward will be eligible.

For transparency, the house will shortlist "10 members" that are eligible for GCMSWriters next lucky "2 SOPs" first-time applicants and "1 LOE" for a reapplying applicant taking it to 3 letters to be freely written. I will pick the 3 lucky members openly here on Nairaland by acknowledging their moniker.

Eligible Criteria: Must be following on IG, Twitter, and/or Telegram. Also, the lucky 3 members will be required to refer a set number of people to follow either of the social media accounts.

You can go through study route, either wifey or you since it’s just a month pregnancy .
But be ready to explain ties back home so they don’t think you want to give birth in Canada .
