Bro keep your head down and avoid confrontation by all means, no verbal or physical abuse and deal with the issue as peaceful as you can.

Move out if you try all you can and she insisted but make an arrangement to be seeing your kids(if kids are involved.

Don't worry about deportation or anything like that because it will be difficult to get that done.

Like i said avoid any form of abuse or physical harm.

Thank u justwise, I have moved out of the house since morning and am trying to rent a room to atleast stabilize myself.

I just need more options on how to renew my visa as it will expire January Next year.

Sorry to hear. For unforeseen situation like this, the process of switching to another category doesn't come cheap.

The cheapest will be to switch to a skilled work / Health visa OR Temporary Worker - Religious Worker visa but you will have to find a sponsor
The easiest is to switch to a student visa
There's Innovator visa (formerly Tier 1 Entrepreneur) but requires lots of investment funds. You can look up Startup visa (don't know if you are eligible)

You can also look up FLR (HRO) but it's a category outside the rules. The chances are slim hence doesn't guarantee approval.

All the best

thank u

I know this is not the visiting visa thread, but I'm sure a lot of people here are experienced in that area hence why I'm asking this question here.

so, my mum was granted a visit visa (6months) due to expire mid-September, she arrived the UK end of March and will be returning to Nigeria on the 1st of September (before her visa expires) although we stated in her application she will be returning in June.

I have a new born and I'm aslo a student so I need all the help I can get, I want to submit an application for my mum-in-law this week such that she will be here immediately my mum lives to care for the children.
However, I'm affraid the Eco will say my mum has not returned yet and I'm submitting another application and possibly deny the visa. Kindly advise.

[quote author=EngrSaks post=104619544]What kind of house are you looking for? A Flat? terraced? semi-detached? detached? What area are you looking at?

Check

thanks a lot...a terraced or semi detached would do. with 3 kids, we have not been lucky with flats. CV2/CV6 preferably. i have seen many applications regretted so i came here ooo, my next landlord may be on this timeline.

Oh ok good!, make sure you see your kids, make an arrangement to see them if she refuses to allow you see them then go to the council they will step-in to sort out a peaceful solution. Hopefully it will not get to that, you moving out may calm things down and both of you will have a rethink and sort things out

Homeoffice will not separate you from your kids, before the visa expires write HomeOffice to explain your situation. They deal with it on case by case basis.

Stay strong, you will be fine.

With kids involved, there may be a way. I am not sure if "right to family life" applies here but you can research that while we wait for the experienced ones like Lexusgs430. Meanwhile, what is you skillset? You can look for a Tier2 sponsored job as well.

Do you need to proof maintenance funds for your visa renewal? if yes, make sure you have it set aside just in case you both reconcile before January next year.

Was domestic violence or emotional abuse involved? I know women can have their drama but it takes a lot for a woman to get to the point where she throws the man out, especially when you both have kids together.

I don't know your faith but have you considered involving your pastor or Imam to see if they can mediate and resolve the conflict between the both of you?

How long have you been in the UK? You might be able to apply for discretionary leave to remain.

It falls under FLR (HRO) outside the PBS rules which I mentioned earlier using Article 8 right to family life. I remember helping a friend with article 2 and 8 back then sad.. Best to also involve a solicitor if there's a need to

Hopefully she calm down.... you either need to get a job that would file, apply quickly for student visa or ask external family to settle you both

Bro its not as easy as you think, my neighbor reported her ex-husband more than a year ago with truck loads of evidence that the marriage is a sham but Homeoffice did nothing and the man has moved in with another woman.

Do you know what the other party filed to Home office?..... wink

Good evening Nairalander, Kindly assist as I'm in search of someone living or schooling in Hull City or East Yorkshire.

I will be travelling for the September resumption and will need to know what life around there is like, accommodation and job/hustling over there.

I will appreciate any form of assistance. I can be reached on Olasco4enternity@gmail.com.

May God bless our hustle.

He got loads of legal backing and structure, to mount a fightback .........

I don't expect him to lay on the ground crying , but remember........ He might also be the architect of this issues .........

Deportation might not be an issue but he can become an overstayer if he is not careful.

Not sure discretionary leave would be granted for a child that's not British or has spent more than 7 years in this country.

Again as long as he is not a danger to the wife, those kids or the country..his chances of remaining in this country remains high..

He should be actively involved in those kids life, avoid any violent and go through the legal process.

Strong evidence based defence + an immigration lawyer (not a hungry lawyer)..........

Equals no tension........... grin

If your case is with HomeOffice you are considered a legal resident until your case is decided and you are asked to leave the country.

I don't think he will allow his visa to expire carelessly without exploring other legal means.

working on that bro. And for the record I am not the cause of the issue. I think she has being planning this since.

she has refuse to put my name on the rent and refuse me to be paying any bills on our names.

all I do is to send money to her acc despite me telling her that I have read it here that if we need to renew our visa we need to let the 2 names reflect on the bills

I believe she might have friends that are teaching her.

But which ever way, I am prepare to use immigration lawyer to help me look into my odds and favours.
