murecool:Osinbanjo is a coward and Hypocrite hence why he is not a suitable candidate. He will only be domi aged and puppeteered as usual not only by his bourdillon boss but also northern cabals that wants him there as figure head |

EndNigeriaNoow:Even if there's no more elections in one Nigeria, we of the southwest bloc will still prefer Osinbajo to be our first elected president in our newly formed Yoruba Republic. That's to tell of Prof's competency |

landap:In saner climes, a resignation is taken seriously and you would lose electoral value, if not impeached. In saner climes, you win or lose elections By what you say at the debate.. But this is Nigeria. You will be replaced by someone who will play the zombie game more than you and people will collect 1k to say that government is the best thing after fried rice. They will twist the narrative Of your resignation against you. By the time DSS handle you you'll wish you were never in politics |

maisams01:If you look at the plight of other countries heavily dependent on crude oil like Venezuela, we must commend the management of a complex country like Nigeria. Even countries like Saudi Arabia and UAE producing 10m and 3.5m barrels of oil daily found it rough to cope with last 5 years of oil price crash. They can't even afford to pay fuel subsidy for their tiny population at 30m and 9m respectively something they've been doing for 40 years How Nigeria is able to subsidize fuel for 200m people from daily sales of measly 1.7m barrels daily is a marvel. In the midst of these, diversification of the economy is going on track with heavy investment in infrastructure as a foundation, loans to farmers to increase local production of previously imported food, loans to manufacturing leading to increased profitability. Heavy private investment in oil refining including modular refineries, cement production, poultry, etc. Consistency in this direction will gradually wean Nigeria from the vagaries of unstable oil prices. We can't be running our economy on good luck of increased oil price. |

WoeBetide666:By who if I may ask? Here is someone whose people are being killed, kidnapped & women being raped without him saying a word. Here is someone who went abroad to say that banditry & terrorism in Nigeria were being exaggerated. Tell me other reasons why he would made a good president. |

Theresamay:Stop being St*pid...I don't go for party,I go with credible candidate, and it's Donald Duke for me....APC failed even more than PDP did 16years,both parties are useless but some in there are qualified to do a great job but guess what, pple will only vote for the one with the bigger bag or based on sentiment...I don't vote because of party,I vote for a worthy candidate...Now get lost! |

maisams01:He may be head of economic team, but still answers to the president. Same reasons why you could have a Fashola who did so well as governor become a shadow of himself as minister. You only submit your recommendations to the president. That is one. Number two, let's take for instance his handling of ease of doing business. He achieved visa on arrival for foreigners coming for business. But with insecurity on the rise, plus where DSS bump into private businesses like hotels and forcefully open rooms where foreigners are lodged, without search warrants, plus other illegalities, do you expect foreign investments to improve? |

maisams01:If Tinubu calls your for your presence this moment you will drop the nonsense you're typing and report to his location. It's normal for people who have achieved nothing to hate those who have. Same way you probably hate Dangote is the same way ordinary American folks also hated Rockefeller, Carnegie, Vanderbilt etc. Today those guys are remembered as the men who built America, what are the haters remembered for? Who knows them? |

What we should be bothered about is how to counter the evil plans of the fulanis. It seems we don't even understand what they are up to. Our eyes are opened but we can't see. |

Naijaishellish:You may be right. I am yet to see him do things differently. Our democracy is rooted on faulty institutions. For example, our party system and electioneering processes are so corrupt to say the least. These instituons need absolute overhauling and reengineering. Politics in Nigeria is too lucrative. For example, we boast of the highest paid politicians in the world. This alone is capable of attracting all manner of characters who really do not have any business with leadership and service. Remove this and you will have solved half of the issues. Not until then, we shall be recycling money bags and questionable characters. |
