Hello esty4
Congratulations and i trust by now
You would be in the Uk. I’m a bit late but better late than never. Please I would like to ask about how you went about your health and care visa application
Was it DIY or you went through an agent. If it’s DIY please I would like a few guidelines and if it’s through an agent I would like to be linked up with such reliable agent.
Please drop your email I will really appreciate your prompt response
Thanks and stay blessed

Hi, please i really need your thoughts on this.

Am in the UK and i invited my mother inlaw over. She was granted her 1st visit visa in October 2019 but because of lock down, she finally left the uk in August 2020. No my wife is pregnant and delivery date is fast approaching, i applied for mother in-law to come over for child birth but this time i applied for the 2 years visitor visa. Timeline is below,

Application submitted Online = 19th July 2021
Biometrics submitted = 23rd July 2021
App received Acknowledgement from UKVI = 30th July

Since then no further communication until i had to contact ukvi on the 12th of August and was told decision has been made and we will receive communication from VAC. The next day, i received 2 emails with words below

Dear Customer,

TLScontact was notified by UKVI that a decision related to your visa application has been made and communicated directly to you by email.

As soon as your passport is ready to be returned, you will receive another email about the collection or the delivery procedure.

You can track the progress of your visa application by connecting to your account or by using our Track My Application app.

Second letter
Dear Customer,

This is a short notice to kindly ask you to bear with us a little more as your application is still being processed and please be assured that you will be notified as soon as your passport is ready to be returned to you.

Thank you for your patience.

Tracking app says application is ready for collection but no one has called or email us for collection.

My question is;

1. On her first application in 2019, i was called by ukvi to verify her some information including my job. But on this application, no one has contacted me. Is this any sign?

2. Secondly, i haven't received any email from ukvi about application processed or concluded. Is this usual?

Please i need your input as we are so worried right now. Thanks in advance.

You probably didn't pay for the service to be texted but be rest assured that the passport is ready and she has been issued the visa. It's easier when the person has a traveling history especially to the UK. If she has been denied, she will have received the mail stating reasons for denial.

Hello Everyone...pls I need advice from experienced guys in the house. I want my younger brother to travel to the UK but the challenge is that I do not know his chances cos he doesn't have any travel history and he is single.. I am thinking of him applying with my wife and kids cos they have good travel history with visits to the US and UK several times and we all share same surname. My questions;

1) What documents does he need to provide cos right now he works with my wife who runs a registered business.

2) I want to stand as co-sponsor for their trip.I work and earn good salary and also a signatory to my wife's biz account. Does my brother require his personal accounts to be rich enough to be considered?

3) Are we expected to scan and upload all our documents online or have the option to submit original copy at VFS ?

Happy to get a feedback.

Thank you.

Your brother's application will be treated separately and independent of your wife and kids' application. Irrespective of same surname, it doesn't help his chances if he's not found eligible. He needs proof of funds available to him and a solid source of income. A strong tie to prove he will return if granted visa. From your above post, it's obvious his chances aren't too good. They will smell the sham from afar. Call let's guide you through the process.

Depends on why you want him to travel also, every application is treated on its own merit regardless of number of people in the group so travelling with them would not influence the outcome of his application.
“Good salary” is relative and when you convert it to pounds it doesn’t look as good.I personally would not advice you sponsor so many people at the same time especially as your brother is an adult.

Thanks for your feedback. I actually want to build his passport. So will it be better if i apply for him alone and stand as sponsor?
Secondly, can you address my 3rd question about scanning documents or submitting it physically. Thanks so much.

Ur vaccinations are only equivalent to that of UK if done in UK, EU or the US. Sadly if u want to travel u will need to quarantine for 10 days.
You need to sort out your financials and know how much u intend to spend on this trip.
Even though u are sole partner of the organization, u also cnt use it as though it is for ur personal use..the amount for the trip needs to be in your personal acct and not your business account as funds for ur business should be reserved for your business
U dnt have to mention the Canadian pr story, there is no correlation to the uk visit visa at this point.
Please read as much as u can of this thread, different examples of how to sell a convincing picture about ur ties to Nigeria.
If your kids are not travelling, it will also help. Sell this picture very well, that you both can not abandon your kids to go and live illegally in the UK. However this is not all. Explore every.

Thanks a lot for your response. I will spend time today going through this page.

That would be his first visa with no family/friends in the uk so ild say you apply for Tourism visa 6months.How old is he?.Above 18 and not in full time education he would need to provide his own statement of account so transfer money into his account and write a sponsorship letter stating he is your biological brother and he deserves a holiday bla bla bla the amount you transferred/date and what it is to cover.
Whether you choose to scan or submit documents in hard copy is entirely up to you, what matters is they get the documents.
Hope this helps.

Like giselle237 said above, get the company registered, open an account for it and let all revenue of the business be paid into that account. Also let all your receipts, invoices, contracts etc bear the name of your company. That's the only way you can use it as an income source. You CD an also consider paying yourself a fixed monthly income from that company account into your personal account as salary.

NB; I'm interested in venturing into this kind of business also. Can I PM you for more info/tips?

Hello house please who can help me out . am applying for a UK visit visa am self employed the question want to ask is this

1) is invoice of sale I made the same with recept or dose recept mean how I buy goods before I sell .I just want to know if invoice alone is okay
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 12:42pm On Aug 16, 2021
All visa applications and documents are submitted electronically. If he applies, he will have a profile to upload these documents... so yes scanned copies. There is no submission of hard copy anywhere
You need to explore what ties your brother has to Nigeria. Without been seen to have adequate ties to Nigeria, he cnt get a visa as they see all applicants as potential overstayers until proven otherwise.
It is not just enough reason for you to say ‘you want to open his passport’ as there are several countries he can go to besides UK to do this.
Point is , get purpose of trip and ties to Nigeria sorted.

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by mrczar(m): 1:59pm On Aug 16, 2021
Guys,

Plz I got refused last wk.

Although the application was done by an agent.

I regret using an agent, ordinarily I would have done my research and applied myself.

The question is:

How soon can I reapply?

If reapplying do I need to explain reasons that lead to the initial refusal?

Is it advisable to use just my salary account instead of including another account.

Plz I will appreciate a thorough guide on how best I can reapply and as well avoid future refusal.

I’m also thinking of how to address travel history, which affordable country can I travel to so as to build my travel history.

The main issue isn't the travel history, you were refused because of your finances. Your finances isn't clear. Why would you want to spend ×5 your monthly income for 20 days? Explain the large sums deposited in your account.

after getting COS is to make an application for a visa depending on the category eg skilled worker visa.
Then you need tb report from IOM in Lagos or Abuja, and also might need police report if your job involves dealings with vulnerable people.
Go on and apply.
