I agree. 3 fraudsters I have encountered uses Access Bank. One succeeded in defrauding me and I reported to Access bank with all evidence while the N450K was still in the account....... The bank didn't move an inch to assist, they were reluctant as if I should complain and get the fxck out.

I don't fancy their operations.

Last week they really upset me.
They just debited me 1k for VISA card I didn't apply for. Immediately, I called their customer care line. The guy was trying to speak grammar, I change am for am.
I told him, you guys should return my money before I swear for all of una. And I hung up.. Lol..
Within 24hrs they credited my account back.

I never had this kind of unauthorized debit issues with diamond Bank but ever since they took over, na so.

I was thinking these guys would have steeped up their banking security.

I was shocked when I used my access bank card details to pay for something online, and there was no 2 factor authentication, before then I always thought it’s pointless for thieves to snap people’s ATM

That is simply not true bro! Even with the Security at the back of the card, there is still a landing page where your Otp soft token is expected to be imputed into. The Otp will be sent to your registered phone number. And this is coming from an Access Bank customer! If you do online transactions and they debit you, go in to one of the bank branches and rectify that! No bank as far as I know allows debit for online transactions without a token!

Meanwhile Yahya Bello made it compulsory for every Kogi State civil servants to used access bank.

That was how my account was wiped when pickpockets stole my phone and even use my SIM to borrow money join.
Those guys used all to buy recharge card and transferred to different SIMs.
Access Bank needs to step up their tech security.
Polaris Bank is better (you will need a password before you can recharge your bank linked SIM)

You are right about that, I noticed even UBA has the same problem. A simple input your PIN before you enter into the interface whether your line or other lines recharge is a simple solution. That recharge your line without a PIN authentication is a loophole, criminals and frausters are using.

PS Even "safe" GTBank and Zenith Bank has also this USSD Code loophole unfortunately!

You will see all those posts on Facebook groups using sick children or family pictures asking you to assist with 1,000 2,000 ,5000 nothing is too small, all na SCAM and na access bank

Very terrible KYC procedures by the bank making it easy to be used

That bank should improve their security system, I can attest to this, I have gotten a call from one scammer who claimed to be working with Access bank, he called my account number, bvn, some numbers in my ATM card and requested that I should complete the remaining numbers, but he no no say na bad market he called, I wasted his airtime calling any number that comes to mind until he got tired.

CBN should look into the security systems of all the banks and force them to improve it, I keep wondering why it is easy for hoodlums (virtually in every streets) to have access to people's bank account(s) once any line that is linked to bank account gets to them. The money will vanish into thin air and the banks won't even bother to trace it's whereabout, its very bad.

Access Bank staff withdrew all the money in my account in 2006 though i got my money back but I stop using the account and even the bank
since then. "ACCESS BANK" you see them you no run.
