Wow, such an inspiring story. Congratulations on the completion of your degree. I will be leaving in 2 weeks. Did you apply together with your family or immediately after you got yours?

Faithyyyyy:
It's been almost a year here and I am glad to be an alumni. I applied for my study permit last year and got it within a month despite the pandemic and delays. I followed up rigorously, didn't defer my classes and started online classes because I was convinced it would favour me. I eventually travelled with my husband and son when resuming on campus and it was a great experience.

Today I am a proud graduate of University of Ottawa. Yes I finished my program in record time and I am over the moon.

My mission here is to give back more positively and encourage everyone on this journey who has faith and believes this is what they want to go for. It takes patience, research, hardwork and even financial commitment.

Let us keep faith and hope alive on this journey of the brave

Calm down first. Take a chill pill, order for the gcms notes and by next month when it comes you can address it fully. But before then I believe you can start working on the generic response you got.

Like looking for ties, such as assets in your name like land and houses.

As regards family ties, maybe you can talk about how you'll still come back to your aged parents? All these are guesses until gcms comes out sha..

I'm in same boat as you and I can tell you that you are not alone. We will laugh last.

Since you used an agent, you need him to now release to you access to your account. That's were your file number and application number is which you will need to use to request for your gcms note.

However if you wish to continue using the agent, then ask him to request your notes for you. But its not bad to see all kind of documents he submitted for you just so you know by yourself

Mojiwealth:
I don’t know what or how to go about my next step an agent did my first application and I was refused pls I need someone to help me out on ds I will like to reapply

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by dfutbolar: 8:53pm On Aug 25, 2021
Your file number should start with S.. When you log into your GCkey account. Scroll down to where you see your biometric and UCI number. File number should be there.

Dorisdili:

Hi guys,

I am filling out the gcms application right now and I am not sure what the file number is.
Please where can I find the "file number" ?

I have applied for my gcms using caipsgcms.

While waiting for my gcms notes, when do you think I can apply for another admission, I'm looking to changing my course of study and also to another province for January or May 2022 intake.

I'll appreciate your advice.

Don't worry too much. Order your GCMS notes first. That will make it easier.

You may then post the important section here for gurus to help you with.

It will be alright.

what of people of age range (21-25) years of age who are single and have no personal assets. How else they can prove home tie?

You may stress on the importance of your role in the family. If your parent has a business, you can leverage on that. There are several things you can think of.

IRCC sent me a message today August 25th

Specifically, provide as explanation as to why the debt to the crown was incurred

If you do not respond to this in 15 days your visa would be refused.

Lani84:
Good day my people.

Please we are in hot water o.

My sister applied to University of Calgary and got admitted for September 2021. Paid full fees and accommodation to support her visa application. She submitted her visa application on May 21st and has not heard back. GCMS notes show that eligibility has not even started. To avoid stories that touch, she opted not to start online in case her visa is not approved. She requested a deferral and the school has just today said no. Her options are: withdraw and re-apply later OR start online.

If she withdraws, won't the school notify IRCC and they will cancel her application? I can't even reach them to find out what happens to the fees.

If she starts online, and the visa is rejected, what happens?

We are looking for advice please and thank you.

My daughter is in a similar situation. Same university. She did not apply for deferral yet, but just sent a mail to the Director of studies informing about the delay in study visa approval ànd that she may consider deferral should the delay continue. He informed her about the virtual option and suggested she can go with it unless she prefers in person then deferral can be considered. She has opted for the virtual and induction commenced today. We are believing she will get PPR soon.

I suggest your sister joins the virtual option will waiting for PPR. The new immigration policy recognises online studies up to this fall for PGWP provided you obtained study visa or have applied before commencing virtual studies.
She will loose a good percentage of money paid should she withdraw.

She can as well look for admission for winter and notify IRCC.

It will surely end in praise.

Good evening my people.

Am a passive reader, After reading lot of posts on this platform. I decide to run my application by myself, which I successfully did.

I submitted my application on 10th July 2021
I did my biometrics on 15th july 2021
Got a correspondent letter this morning 25th of august 2021 exactly a month and 15days after biometrics

About an hour after the correspondent letter, I got a refusal

The below were stated in the letter

Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. After careful review of your study permit
application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet
the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and
Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of
residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can
demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be
accompanied by a new processing fee.
Sincerely,
High Commission of Canada

After reading all they wrote up there,

I immediately ordered for my gmc note.

My admissions is February so I still have the time to reapply, which am doing immediately I receive my gmc note.

In my previous application
I have 2 landed properties with buildings
3 landed properties with no building
Am married with marriage certificate and pictures
Statement of accounts of around $100,000 about N40M I can’t remember precisely
I have a company here in Nigeria

Seeing what the V.O wrote got me confused.

Am definitely applying again, I need people who have gone through this path and I require advise and professional that I can work with who have handled this type of situation before.

I will be glad to read from you all

You can chat me up

Thanks
Best regards

Yes, get an envelope and put the following inside and take to DHL office.

put two photocopies of your passport data page

your yellow or white biometrics slip

passport request letter

consent form downloaded and signed

Print out receipts of the 7430 naira.

Note: you are signing just the second page of the consent form

passport itself

one plain sheet of paper where you can write your address and phone number .

Note:
If you did biometrics in Lagos and want to send to Lagos , no fees is paid to VFS.
But If you did biometrics in Lagos and want to send to Abuja , you are paying 7430 to CANADA LOGISTIC COLLECTION ACCOUNT (a/c no 0065165839) sterling bank.

If choosing Abuja, DHL will deliver to the following address below:

Visa Application Centre
Sterling Bank Plaza, 3rd Floor
Plot No 1083, Mohammadu Buhari Way,Central Business District

Please I need help on what to do next. I thought I have read tons of message here about sending passport to VFS but I seem confused right now.

I intend to send my passport to the Visa office. I have my consent form signed, 2 copies of passport data page and the original passport. I also paid a fee of about N8,000 at VFS office because I can't locate the biometric slip I was given in 2018 when I did my biometric. I have printed the passport request letter too.

So please help me with next step. Do I just take all of these to DHL office? I was given the attached at VFS office when I went to pay for missing biometric slip. Please help as I intend to submit tomorrow.
