Can't you send an email to your school showing them evidence of your visa being approved and asking for the option of joining online for two weeks pending when you land?
THIS IS PERFECT. LET THEM GIVE YOU 2 WEEKS TO 1 MOnTH ULTIMATUM FOR YOU TO LAND IN CANADA. Most of this schools are reasonable

Well in that case you'll have to formally defer your admission and notify Ircc before it's stamped I guess

Hello, our lovely gurus here. Please I need your help.

What program would you advise me to go for? First degree Engineering and MBA (Business Admin) with over 10 years of Banking experience in operations and customer services.
Can I go for another Masters program or PG Certificate?
If yes, What Program can I go for?

Many thanks.
If your MBA was done in Nigeria or in a country that has no close ties with Canada, then I will advise you not to disclose it in your application.

Lekiboboe is the go to person for programs suggestion but his schedule has obviously and understandably become tighter since he moved.

Whether you decide to go for masters or postgraduate program, the program has be in line with banking and finance.

Hello everyone and gurus in the house. I’m a first time poster but I’ve really gained massive information on this forum.
I applied for study permit since 11th April and I’m yet to get a response not even any update so I contacted an MP and she responded after 10 days that they are presently reviewing my eligibility but it didn’t reflect on my GCkey account. In the process of waiting, my medicals expired and I’ve been fortunate to get a new medical exam done and I’ve also updated IRCC via webform. It was after I updated them that I saw an update on my account for the first time after over 4 months that “we are reviewing your medical results”. My school is resuming on 7th and also to withdraw and get full refund of my tuition. If my PPR doesn’t drop before 7th September and I withdraw, if I then receive PPR afterwards, what will be my fate? As their new intake will be September 2022, which is too much wait time for me. Can I get another admission from another DLI for maybe winter 2022 with the same approval. I’ll gladly appreciate your advice.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by viviangogos(f): 10:45am On Aug 29, 2021
But I think every school have that online option na. And in your case it is easier cause you already have your visa approved. So why not ask them to move you to virtual for this first semester, that way you can take your time to travel in late september or October. Las las finish the first semester virtual even in Canada, then when you register for your second semester then you can join the hybrid mode of delivery.

If you really want to defer to next fall, your stamp validity is for 1 year for you to enter Canada with it. Since it is prolly going to be stamped this August or early september ( depending on when you sent your PP for stamping,) so you have 1 year to use it to come into Canada and noting you can only enter Canada 1 month to your session resumption ( this has been since Covid restrictions) However, you will need to get your new LOA and send to IRCC to inform them, i guess that should be your basis to apply for the extension of your visa when you have entered Canada.
I will advise you send a mail to people like Justwise and Frank on this platform, so they can advise you better too. All the best.

I am not a guru but from what I know so far on this study route, truth is that change of DLI outside Canada will mean to apply for a new study permit. This is clearly stated on IRCC page. Change of DLI can only be done inside Canada without getting a new permit since you are in already. But in your case, it is complicated because you do not want fall 2022 and I agree with you it's a very long time though. Pray for a positive response before 7th of September or you painstakingly defer to the next intake. God will help you to make the right decision.
You can also await for more advise from the gurus here. All the best to you.

Good morning everyone. Is there anyone in Nova scotia or going to nova scotia??
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Naheem4real(m): 11:09am On Aug 29, 2021
Hi everyone, my application got refused today and I would like to share my timeline at least I might get someone who will point out errors from my application and others can learn from it.
Applied for SP (27th April, 2021)
Biometrics got complete (6th May, 2021)
NSE request (7th May, 2021)
Medical passed and updated (26 July, 2021)
Ignored NSE request and I expected the normal channel to proceed. No update even after 80 days, Review of additional documents still shows “we need additional documents to continue processing ur app.” (Image attached below). Unknowingly to me, I could still upload NSE documents request (I overlooked). Fast forward to 14th of August, I decided to do testing microphone with the NSE (I mistakenly uploaded a different documents in the Proof of Fund slot) still no up date on review of additional documents still shows “we need additional documents…..”

Finally, on Wednesday Eligibility review and background check all started, got a refusal same day.

List of documents I submitted are

Offer letter
LOE
WAEC result
Transcripts
Statement of result
NYSC certificate
Letter of employment
ID card
Letter of recommendation
Certificate of registration (ICAN) still a student
CV
Study leave
Letter of commendation and a picture of award from my place of work
Birth certificate
Police report

For proof of fund
Letter of sponsorship from my pop
Letter of engagement from his place of work
ID card
Deposit receipt of $5,000cad (it’s a year program)
6 months bank statement (N12m)
Sworn affidavits
Valuation report of a landed property (N38m)

Reason for refusal also attached below.

Still it’s a blessing for me to come across this platform, I hope you get to learn from my mistake(s).

Your amazing ideas are welcome, thank you

Good morning guys, how are y’all doing today? So, my Gcms note has arrived and the only refusal ground for the application was

*Pursuant to paragraph 220 (a) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies that you intend to pursue.

Pls gurus in the house, I need your candid contributions. Thank you

Hello everybody, I just landed in Canada, the SP journey has been a hectic one, but grateful to have gotten here.

Landing gist,
Arrived MMA by 9 for my 1:45pm flight with Ethiopian airlines, the airport was basically empty, so I tipped the baggage security people 1k cos they already hailing me boss and said I can’t give them 5H, then I continued to agriculture declaration venue, I didn’t declare any agricultural products (though I had a bag full of food items) I just told them it’s clothes and books and since it was in a box, they let me go. Went ahead to check in, my bags weighed 20kg and 22kg, at check in; I showed Arrivecan, Covid test, admission letter/enrollment letter and Passport.
I got my boarding passes and proceeded to customs and immigration, I didn’t tip anybody, the airport was empty and nobody had my time, so it was quick. In 5mins I was done with immigration and my passport was stamped. Proceeded to board and we left for Addis Ababa, arrived at Addis Ababa, proceeded to my Gate and boarded my flight to Toronto. The flight stopped in Dublin for refuel and then proceeded to Toronto. Got to Toronto, didn’t declare anything at Customs, showed them I’m fully vaccinated and I was given the green sticker which meant I was exempted from quarantine and proceeded to immigration.

At immigration, my village people wanted to try nonsense because my passport and visa information was not coming up on the Immigration officer’s system, he kept scanning and typing. Finally it came on and we were both relieved. He asked about my school, fees and acceptance letter and proceeded to print out my study permit. By the time I finished at immigration, I had missed my flight to British Columbia which is my final destination. Went to the Air Canada counter and told them that I missed my flight because of the immigration officers and the woman rescheduled the flight for me without any extra fees (apparently I think if immigration makes you miss your flight, the airlines are not supposed to charge you, that’s what the immigration officer told me when I was trying to tell her I’ll miss my flight).

When my flight was rescheduled to 8pm…and I had 12hours in Toronto, I called a friend who came and took me to downtown Toronto and other places, ate a lot of food and walked a whole a lot. Came back to the airport and boarded my flight to BC (Toronto to BC is like Lagos to London)

Just arrived BC, and I’m waiting for a cab to go to my apartment.

I pray everybody on this journey will give their own landing gist soon! Amen!

All the best guys!

IRCC office in Saudi, UAE etc have a high refusal rate for expatriates. One common reason is home tie. However I do think you have a good shot because of your establishment in Nigeria. You must capitalize on it in your SOP to stand a chance.

All your points are well noted. Thanks for your response.

Please I want to inquire, were you fully vaccinated before you left?

Thank you.
