Another cb
God cry cry cry cry
He's an RB. Not the marauding type but he's solid defensively and on the ball.
I would've preferred a Max Aarons or that dude at Ajax but I heard Arteta specifically asked for him.

We better go with 3 at the back
Gabriel as LCB
White CB
Tomiyasu RCB
Tierney LWB
Amn RWB
Partey DM
Sambi CM
Saka LW
Auba CF
Smith RW

I think he bought this guy so Ben White can push forward into midfield. Sort of how Wenger used to have one full back be ultra attacking and the other a bit more conservative.

Edu and Arteta are clueless. Watch Arteta start playing AMN as a midfielder now.

Is there nt a way he can involve a court order to terminate his contract.

Termination of a contract involves both parties to agree. Also, there are stipulated terms that must be met if that becomes a route.

Yes a manager needs to look himself in a mirror when many people are complaining about him and ultimately the board that hired the manager need to investigate and act accordingly. But I insist even in the event that all the players feel aggrieved about a manager, talking to press and disrespecting the manager is No-No. Reporting to the board and following the organisation conflict resolution procedure is the solution.

Please don't get me wrong, I do not support Arteta or what he is doing to some of the players, but creating an anarchy situation is bad for everyone...so everyone should follow the lay down procedure.
I totally agree.

What's your take on our new signing?

I was waiting for 12 midnight to know where are... But honestly I was not expecting much beyond finding out who is leaving us and to where. But I do expect a new RB in the event of Bellerin leaving. I do not know much about Takehiro Tomiyasu to ascertain if he is a quality signing or not. Time will tell. People are skeptical about Asian players performance in Premiership, but Son is telling a good story. let's hope Tomi will do likewise.

IMO, apart from the high cost of getting White and Ramsdale (which is norm for English players) I cannot contest our current signings... These players with our talented homegrown in the hand of a good manager should perform well. But I don't know where Arteta is taking his midnight classes from... Few more marches with no convincing results means we simply loud Artetaout.

If not that Arsenal is now a shadow of itself. A supposed big club has lost its 3 opening matches, could neither salvage a draw nor score a goal and you still need few matches to loud Artetaout.
Suffer no dey tire you?

My brother, the suffering don do. I'm just trying to put a check on my expectation on Artetaout. I know the owner we have and the current board will not sack Arteta now, no matter the scream of Artetaout... Maybe from after the next match if the wreckage continues they might listen.

He actually played RB last season and had a superb season at Bologna. RB is his natural position.

Arteta's Foolishness is making us not see that this is a above par signing. I hope hiro is ready to shima his way to prove and help the club.

Meanwhile that's #83 linked. Quite a window.

Willian's farewell is mature and cool. The club hierarchy can make one hate a player that has 0.00001% in the woes its facing.

The AMN issue in the last few hours shows that Arteta is a Pep in conduct. Permit mw to say that's the only reasonable thing he saw to imitate from Pep. That highhandedness in regards to how he deals with players. It can't work at Emirates cos money no dey and neither is he a sensible tactician.

Watch as AMN is made to chop bench for a long while. He better get his acts together this International window. He's falteres too many times to be trusted to be at the helm with player management.

They got at least one in each position and coincidentally, one from each of the top 5 leagues in europe, save France.

They probably feel they've done a great job this Window. Smh.

No time to waste time.

Our scouting department have been not excellent but very good in the signings we have made. So far so good. Our defense looks solid when everyone is fit. That's the right direction to go for a good season overall. It's now left for the manager not to mess things up.
RB: AMN, Cedric, (Takehiro)
RCB: Takehiro, White, Holding
LCB: Gabriel, Mari, Kolasinac
LB: Tierney, Tavares, (Kolasinac)
CM: Partey, Lokonga, Xhaka, Elneny, (AMN, White)

I believe the issue with AMN was his refusal to play as RB or RWB. But hopefully that was sorted out.

For me, the squad is decent enough to challenge for something. We are not worse than Leicester. It's now left for Arteta to win or get sacked.

only 1 attacking minded player

Well let's hope lokonga keep xhaka away from the starting eleven

My rating this window is 3/10 because the main issues were never addressed especially when it's so glaring that we can't score one single goal in 3 games this season

Ladies and gentlemen
We bought 5 at the back out of the 7 transfers we did
Arteta failed to address the lingering issue, same old story
We haven't scored this season, conceded 9 goals
This our own defence is leading us to relegation

Having carefully studied our activities in this recently closed transfer window and the previous one, I've come to the conclusion that we fans aren't channeling our grievances the right way .....we are not saying what ought to be said.

Here is the reason why:

1. We needed midfield sorted so bad that we wailed all year for additions to the midfield both in AM and CM positions. The club brought in Odegaard and Lokonga for the respective roles.

2. We agreed a back-p keeper was needed for Leno since that keeper we brough in to repalace Martinez didn't turn out the way we wanted. The club brought in Ramsadale to fill this vaccum.

3. We agreed our right side of defence/attack has been dead for a long time and we need a decent RB for that and the club brought in the Japanese "Tiamiyu" hoping he will satisfy us.

4. Yes, Tiernney needed a back-up LB since we've all agreed Saka should never play in LB again in order not to stunt his growth as a baddass forward. Tavarez was signed for this purpose

5. Well, we didn't really look at how shitty Mari has been , neither did we consider the averageness of Holding, the club management somehow feels we need another CB to add to the gazillion of CB's on our books. Wetin we fit do ?

If u look at all these signings u will see the club actually brought in players in almost all the areas we agreed we were lacking.....However it is actually the quality of this players that should really concern us and maybe the prices they were signed.

I personally the idea of signing Odegaard as our AM.....Its a huge downgrade for a team that used to have Ozil drive attack from that position now settling for Odegaard . I'm not saying he's not a good player but he's just not the big player we need in that position to mentor the younger Smith-Rowe.

I am also of the opinion that as far as Xhaka remains in the club signing a decent and senior player in that CM role will always be a mirage. The club will always prefer to sign a squad player that will most likely falter when its time to step in big matches.

All i'm saying is going forward we fans should be more specific about the right type of players we should pressing for the club to sign. Not just anybody that they push to us. Most of these players they signed this transfer will add little to our declining team. Even when Arteta is sacked, the new coach coming will still need to weed out some of these lightweight on our books first .

Lonkonga is a backup player
Ódegaard is not certified starter
If Mari is a shít why did Arteta loan out Dino and saliba
Bros apart from tavarez and the RB the other signings are not what we needed
It should be Madison instead of ódegaard
Bissouma instead of sambi
I don't want to go back to the keeper department cos you know my stand
Over all the addition didn't add anything instead it makes it worse.
We haven't scored in 3 matches and conceded 9
Is it not better we remain the way we were

Not only this season bro, we are in for many long seasons if something drastic doesn't happen.... Going by the statement of our board CEO, there is no ambition to be back in Europe in the immediate...

The Arsenal chief executive Vinai Venkatesham has decided to contact all the Arsenal staff and players at the end of the transfer window, to assure them that, despite the awful start to the season, the long-term plan is progressing as it should.

V.V acknowledges that we have dropped far below our standards, and those of our rivals at the top of the table, but there is a strategy in place, which he has explained is to concentrate on “Europe’s most exciting young talent” that can “grow and develop together under Mikel”.

Vinai’s message was acquired by HITC, who have reported our CEO as saying: “Our approach for this window was framed by fully recognizing that we are not where we want to be on the pitch — finishing eighth last season, with no European football for the first time in many years,”

“This is well below the standards each of us all have, and of course that our fans rightly demand of us, which is to be competing for the biggest trophies in the game.

“Whilst we would love to jump from where we are to where we want to be in an instant, we need to be realistic that the gap is too large to do that. As such, our activity this window has been focused on youth.

“Our strategy is to fill our squad with some of Europe’s most exciting young talent, with players from both our academy and further afield, that can grow and develop together under Mikel to take us where we want to get to.

“Whilst this will not be overnight, we can make positive progress, and it gives us the best route to future success in a sustainable way.

Personally, I think this summer transfer was a disaster. I mean, we addressed some back up issues but those are not immediate needs that can elevate this team. Outside of not addressing the immediate needs of this team, my disappointment is that the bulk of the players loaned out will return next season after their loan spells. That means we will do this over again like we have been doing over the last 2 seasons. Our leadership and coaching have shown they are slow and poor at making decisions. We will resume next season with another bloated squad which we will not address until when the season starts. Worsestill, we will be begging to terminate contracts of many of these players which is an evidence of bad decision. If you terminate one, that's fine but if terminating contracts become the norm then it raises a lot of questions on how and why those contracts were initiated in the first place.

Outside of bad coaching, our failure to figure out our squad situation early enough has been a big part of the problem. We have started 2 consecutive season with too many uncertainties and a lack of clarity about the squad. Without European competition, one would think we should be able to avoid the mistake of the previous season but no! We are doing the same thing all over again. By the time the squad situation is resolved we are already double digits outside of where we need to be to make a challenge for important positions.
