Its actually an Internet image. I shared a similar issue few months ago while working on a project at OPIC, Isheri Ogun state.
This usually occur in buildings having groundwater issues especially in a builds where foundations are built too low.
I wish I have the permission to share images from the OPIC project and the fix.

Update on the wind turbine as complementary source of power as promised: it's a big flop.
The blades doesn't move for most of the time and the voltage supplied is too low to charge the battery even though it's high up on the roof with no building higher than it.
Best to double the solar panels or the battery more than the normal specification than to opt for the wind system.
The wind would need to be very high to generate significant voltage to charge the battery.

A tenant who was pounding food on decking started this in one of my flats. Then it moved to the next flat and we were told it could result also when there is not enough spacing for breathing of tiles.

My sentiments exactly. Ikorodu Omo onile are something else.

What I tend to do is when buying land i make sure to get in writing the schedule of omonile fees.

I have spent as much as I intend to for now but I am investing some time on getting good knowledge on types of inverters, batteries, charge controllers and solar panels etc. I don't like being a novice so tay dem give me anything and I don't know if its good value or not. Its too much money to be handing over anyhow.

I was happy with the first phase ie inverter and batteries but not so with the next phase of solar panel and charge controller (looks like old model tokunbo 60 cell solar(he assures me that as a German product it is better than the Chinese version in the market )and quoted 110k charge controller but delivered one for 20k). It has been working okay with no problems but I want a different charge controller.

I did not know enough about them to venture to buy the materials and I have every intention of changing this soonest. I did have the benefit of seeing life for 6 months, with no problems, an installation done for a close relative.

I was impressed with his installers who come across as efficient and know what they are doing and this is extremely important to me.

With the benefit of hindsight I would spend more time finding out re materials such that I am more specific about the spec I want, and make sure I am comfortable with any recommendations.

Its a recommendation of a person i have never met , have only messaged on WhatsApp and phone, was told he is based in ibadan. who was recommended by my brother in law.

I’ve never had issues with omo onile in any of my projects especially those wherr I’m charged with the responsibility of handling for their matter.

I pay them what’s meant for them and do my thing.

One other thing that has worked for me over the year is I give them supplies to handle for me.

I never have to contend with supplier associations or pay illegal gate monies at al when omo oniles are handling my supplies.
Though I always work with the almost responsible one o.

But on occasion where I’m acting as a third party, any delay by omo onile is not my problem. I’ll give you time to settle yourself and resume when the coast is clear.
