How do you explain these scenarios:

Beer is an Haram in the North, Hisbah will destroy any beer destroyable but VAT generated from the consumption of beer in the south is not an Haram to them. They even take a large chunk of it.

Lagos and Rivers contributed at least 75% VAT to the federation account in 2020 but got less than 45% from FAAC.

I am enjoying the steps taken by Lagos and Rivers. Let restructuring start from there.
This feeding bottle federalism must end

Lagos and Rivers generate 61% of VAT not 75%.

(Quoting current VAT collection data across Nigeria, the minister said “55% of Nigeria’s VAT is collected in Lagos State. 20% in FCT, 6% in Rivers, 5% in Kano, 1% in Kaduna”.)

Why is Masari carrying it on his head? Is he the FG?
(Positive) Change is never convenient, however, it is necessary for progress. It may be inconvenient for some states now, but those states that are ready to get with the times and adjust, they will be part of the biggest beneficiaries of True (Fiscal) Federalism.

No reason for FIRS to collect VAT and then share to states

Each state should collect their own

Interesting.

Wasn't this the same governor that said that Fulanis from all over West Africa were allowed to come unhindered into Nigeria because there really is no boundary for the Fulani man?

Obviously our VAT from the south has always been going to service Fulanis from different parts of Africa.

What a wawu!

Hisbah should be used to generate more revenue for em...nonsense..theirs is to destroy businesses whilst expecting dividends from VAT from other states who run businesses that are anti Muslim.

Guyman02:
Zamfara can collect VAT on their gold which they are not sharing with other states, if Rivers people drink beer they should equally enjoy the tax on it.
Masari can go ahead and legalise the consumption of items like beer, that's why they do so much drugs in the North than South, after 3 bottles of beer there won't be appetite to consume codein or tramadol
You are right about the alcohol and drug use relation up north.

Una no go kill person here,
Very soon, only people that wants to work will start contesting.

When Rivers and lagos take there VAT, Buhari won't have enough money to share to those lazy governors.

All those giving birth to one million children in the north, will soon stop.

There is no pain to feel, He who does not work deserve not to eat.
They want VAT yet they destroy the goods of some companies (breweries) that pay VAT.
That is reaping from where they don't sow.
They want VAT yet there herders kill and destroy properties of those who pay VAT, that is devilish and demonic. Masari can do better by crying more, na im wàhálà be that

POOR STATES IN NIGERIA BOTH FROM THE SOUTH AND IN THE NORTH SHOULD PUT ON THEIR THINKING CAP.

They should THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX and come out with measures to improve on their internally generated revenue.

The UAE and Saudi Arabia is practising islam but that does not restrict them from not developing their IGR.

There are a lot of northern states with vast land for agriculture all they need to do is to bring peace and security to their land and develop their economy.
