For me, I can't marry someone in the Forces, especially Nigerian Army. I don't want to turn widow one week after my wedding day. I'd rather marry a mechanic than a lieutenant in the forces. See the difference?

But, now everything is the opposite. Parents now encourage their children to do Yahoo, Yahooboys aren't discreet anymore and they openly discuss/post Yahoo stuffs on social media and in public places. The people that used to condemn them are now doing Yahoo.

In some states, e.g delta state, you'll be seen as a misfit if you're a youth and not engaging in fraud(Yahoo).

The act has been normalized! How we got here so quickly is phenomenal, and surprising to me.

preference is actually different from shaming. I dont think OP was shaming. Even the guys here have their preferences for occupation. The income value of a lady's occupation is of little importance for nigerian guys but i am sure there are other parameters besides income. i have heard nigerian guys say they dont want bankers cause of long hours. i personally wouldnt go near anyone tagged "Influencer"
