I'm not sure if I can remember another top club that has such a fullback who is so bad in the attacking half. Look at all the fullbacks, in the top clubs: Alba, Carvajal, Alaba, Shaw, Reece, Robertson. Teams have indeed converted wingers into fullbacks which shows what they expect from fullbacks. They would rather have a defensive liability if the attacking contributions are good enough.
