You don't call it local.
Be proud of what you cook and eat.
You don't see Chinese calling Chinese food local or traditional. You don't see Korean naming anything they prepare local.
It's only in Nigeria. We feel so inferior we don't feel proud of our own very food

There are more than 1000 ingredients used by different countries to make salad
None of the natives of such countries has termed theirs local.
It's simply salad.

Be proud of yours.

To me though, local/traditional food or dishes doesn’t mean something negative.
It just signifies something that’s indigenous to that area. Unless she meant something else.

Nice.

I was about typing this, then i saw your quote.

European countries also classify some of their foods as local/tradicion.

Not everyone know about that food, so is good to call it local or traditional food.

I used
Palmoil
Ehuru
Yellow pepper
Ogiri
Crayfish
Seasoning
I mixed the palm oil with local potash to get the yellow paste. Then in went my grinded ehuru, crayfish, ogiri and pepper. Then the abacha followed with Seasoning, then you mix till combined. Then I added the sliced garden egg and garden egg leaves. That is all
