Hello Romoke

Please go do an upfront Medical, that is if your previous medicals is over a year..
After doing your medicals, you will be given a slip at the clinic, make sure you submit this slip to IRCC through a webform or email..

Find below the list of IRCC approved Medical centers..

https://secure.cic.gc.ca/pp-md/pp-list.aspx

IOM is 46K
Qlife is 40k (with the exception of a change in the Price)

Peace

Akanoa:
Alhamdullilah it has ended in praise for me.
This journey has been on for me since 2019 after leaving highschool but I thank God that it has finally ended.
My original destination was the US but my mom didn't want it because of gun violence and we had no family in the US so we settled for Canada. I applied for admission to University of Manitoba since that's where my sister was and got admission since November 2019. Unfortunately that was when the wait now started. cheesy
An immigration lawyer was introduced to my mom who charged 1000 dollars which we paid almost immediately. But this stupid woman didn't do anything for more than a year saying covid and many other rubbish. She only wrote sop and that was even when I almost changed it for her.
Fast forward sha, come December 2020, I couldn't take it anymore I fought with my mom about it so that we can use anothe person. She refunded the money and we decided to us another licensed consultant (A3 immigration). All through, my admission for UOM expired which I reapplied for another admission. I also applied to Thompson rivers university and university of Lethbridge and got admitted into all of them. I also wrote IELTS in January and got 8.0 overall band score. Then I applied for my first visa on March 31st, 2021. Omo I was so happy but as God will have it, it was refused on June 9 and the gcms notes didn't state any particular reason. My consultant adviced that the refusal was a mistake and we should reapply instead of judicial review to save time for fall intake. So I reapplied on June 24 with a complete application and by God's grace it ended in praise today.
Timeline:
First application:
Submission: march 3, 2021
Biometrics: April 6,2021
Upfront medical: August 2020
NSE request: April 14. Submitted IELTS so I sent only MBS and it was acknowledged on April 19.
Refusal: June 9,2021 a few days after I ordered my gcms notes.

Second application
Submission and confirmation: June 24, 2021
No NSE request.
Medicals: I saw how fast the slots where filling up so I booked for August 12 as my previous medical would expire August 9.
Ppr and bvl: around 8:45 a.m today on September 17, 2021.
Documents submitted
All imm forms.
Sop drafted by me and also a LOE tackling my previous refusal reasons.
My sponsors (mom) account statement for both personal and business accounts with closing balance of 25m.
Property valuation of one of my mom's house.
Also landed properties.

I didn't really do much, it was all done by our consultant. Omo yesterday my mom and I even went to buy dollar because of the present exchange rate and I also changed the pounds I had with me to order my gcms notes (My mom didn't want me to order for it because she thought that was why my first one was refused grin). All this was just yesterday. Man I'm still surprised.

Walahi I fasted till I couldn't fast again. In fact I fasted yesterday. It wasn't easy but I am grateful to God it has ended in praise.
I pray everyone waiting also experience this good feeling I'm going through. I am also grateful to this wonderful forum which I got to know about in May while I was waiting for my first application. I'm grateful and will continue to be for all the help your people have offered us.

And to my fellow Nairalanders who were refused, especially @oreoluwapo and @jfrazzy, please I am begging do not relent. The refusal is just a delay not denial. And I pray it ends in praise for you very soon. Thank you once again and please pardon my long story.

I will be sending my passport for stamping on Monday Insha Allah.
I like u spirit
Massive congratulations

Good evening everyone, I’ve been seeing ppr this week congratulations to you all and to those still expecting ppr I hope u all get. Sorry I saw a post online of CBN approving personal travel allowance (PTA) for student traveling abroad I’ve been trying to get the hang of it? Like what are the advantages of it in “ Layman’s terms” .
Please I’ve not applied for SP but hopefully come January, I’d apply as almost everything is in place now. I’d just like to know the advantages of it.
Sorry In advance if this might be an insensitive question in any way to anyone.

I’m not a guru here oh but using a M.sc to apply for a post grad certificate course shows no “CAREER PROGRESSION” in the applicants defence while applying for a Study permit and could raise a red flag by the VO. According to posts I’ve read here.

Per CBN Guidelines, PTA sales are for travellers with confirmed RETURN TICKETS. However, some students elect to purchase ONE-WAY tickets thus disqualifying them from the privilege of buying PTA at the CBN rate. However it appears with this latest approval from CBN, student travellers with One-way tickets can now enjoy the PTA purchase from banks at these rates. It is a win for any student who elects to buy one-way tickets to Canada.

Hi, please how can I contact my MP? My school is in Newfoundland Labrador. Please can I get an explanation of how I can find his contact details? Thanks!

I am taking risk to reply before them delete me. I just feel I should input.

I know someone from my school that got bvl for two weeks and counting and no PPR yet. He is worried as you are as well so I told him to email the mp (member of parliament).
Kindly find the response from his mp here.

You can do same as this made him worry less or wait till next week . At least it will help know if everything is going on well with your app pending PPR .

I’m sure PPR will be massive.[/quote]

Sharing a link might be an offense .

You can browse mp in Newfoundland Labrador Canada and you will see about seven .

You can email all of them since you don’t know who will reply .

Hello,
I’m seeing the discussion concerning PTA.

The best option is to have a family member open an account at globus bank when you have travelled. Then they’d request for pta for a relative , they’d act as your sponsor. They’d get it at CBN rate.

I know many people that have done it and I am in the process of doing it.

I also her that keystone bank does something similar.

For everyone mailing me about this,

1. I don’t have any “connect or plug” in the bank, you don’t need any connect. Just go there and explain what you want to do and you’d be
guided on how to do it.

Whole process took about 2 weeks, the money was sent in thursday and it’s scheduled to arrive in my account on monday at latest

Hello gurus in the house
This my first time here but quick one I submitted my visa application may 15 and biometric done may 27 ever since then I haven’t heard any news but I needed to defer my admission to Jan cos of delay in visa so I sent the news document the school sent to me and receipt of payment that have made so far to ircc ever since I get worried cos I haven’t heard anything about it pls wat can I do

There is no need to worry cus nothing has happened yet, although it's normal for you get worried but don't mind ircc , dey are good in delaying ppls applications but still it's not their fault cus dey usually have tons of apps to attend to.
Since you've forwarded the new LOA to them,I'm sure they must have used it to update your profile.
As of early this month, I've seen someone that got passport request without doing medical , this is someone who applied since February,so use this to keep hopes alive cus it's not over until it's over.
So relax ok and don't get yourself worked up bcus of this, although I know the waiting is killing and I understand you must have emailed ircc couple of times to enquire about your application status right.
Anyways just wait till next month ending, if by then you haven't heard from ircc then I suggest you go and order your GCMS note.
This way you will get to see first hand , the direction your app is heading, wether it's heading towards approval or not. But if you don't want to order the notes, you can still leave it and keep hoping and praying. I was just suggesting the Gcms note , that way you will get to have peace of mind by knowing your app status

I have been hearing refusal from most pple saying due to insufficient fund but I use my blood broda Acc with balance of 9.8m I also show prove that we are brothers by submitting his birth certificate prove of biz also did affidavit..pls wat do you think is there any chances at all

First of, if you've come of age, make sure you submitted your own personal bank statement together with other documents. Now in this aspect, you don't need to have thousands of naira in it Noo,just try and have reasonable amount of money in the account that has a source it was raised. Bcus some VOs will be expecting that from you, they just want to be sure you have your own personal savings just incase if there is a breakdown of relationship with Sponsor along the line.
That being said, even with that 9.8mill you still stand a chance of getting approval, I've equally seen someone who submitted her study visa with 5mill as closing balance and yet the person visa was approved.
So just make sure your sponsor, has strong economic ties with good source of income
