Our problem in the West Ham was two fold. We played too narrow and we moved the ball around too slowly. Pogba the nominal LWF was tucking into the midfield, Greenwood the nominal RWF was tucking into the attack WHILE at the same time both full backs were also playing relatively narrow and close to the CBs. |

monerozi5590:Verrati is a Rich man's Ndombele. Good at holding and driving the ball in the middle with good dribble. But poor and erratic passing. Pogba does the dribbling too and the cherry on top is that he's an excellent passer of the ball, both long and short passes. |

kushercain:You missed the point. I used the number of goals scored to highlight that those defenders are not inferior to their peers if not, the likes of Ibra, Cavani, Benzema, Mbappe and Falcai would have broken goal records playing in that league... |

afrodoc2: ![]() Boss,me I get catapult for pocket. Certain monikers here need serious general mob action for spewing LAWMA grade trash. Where was Ole when Bielsa began coaching in Spain? Where was Ole when Bielsa brought Munain & Herrera to drill us right here at Old Trafford in 2012? The Norweigian Ogunbote had not even began relegating Cardiff by then, but somehow,Bielsa is now his mate because they are both in the PL and Amaka has won the Norweigian league. Then because he beats brain farting Pep, he is the next best thing to Dangote spaghetti. Honest to Jah Mighty, but some people in here are in the idiotic order. Even Arteta still dey give am palpitation sef. Abeg I wan troway stone. |

afrodoc2: Knows the truth but doesn’t want to say it.PSG’s attack is on a different level, even their midfield is good. Funny how we only have an edge in defense - Shaw and Varane. |

GloryIsaac:They way una dey reduce Pogba and Bruno to average midfielders when it comes to an argument dey always amaze me... Neymar, Mbappe and Messi look formidable on paper but are they workable? It's left to be seen. PSG team is not balanced at all, for things to click, Poch might have to bin Veratti and go with Gueye, Paredes/Herrera and Wijnaldum because those guys in front will not put in the shift. I streamed their match yesterday, Messi was strolling as was Neymar and Mbappe without the ball...I think under the right set up, we have a good mix in our attack... Anyway sha...Time will tell. |

hoopLA:It's not down to his footballing abilities...If we start listing players that the French Ligue 1 has produced we won't stop anytime soon. If was that easy, Falcao, Ibra, Benzema, Cavani, Mbappe, Neymar and co would have been scoring 40 - 50 goals every season while they were/are there... |

patrickmuf:Let’s list players that Brazilian league has produced and conclude that it is better than EPL then? We don’t want you to name all the players that Ligue 1 has produced sef. That’s too difficult. Just name the 5 good international grade defenders that Messi will face there. Since 11 is too hard we have reduced it to 5. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 12:56pm On Sep 20, 2021 |
afrodoc2:Okay, I accept they're no international grade defenders in the whole league but then, why didn't/haven't Ibra, Cavani, Benzema, Falcao, Mbappe, Neymar etc scored more than 40-50 league goals not even consistently but at least for once?. Who was stopping them, farmers? Must be farmers who can play the beautiful game then... |

patrickmuf:Zlatan dropped from 38 goals in Ligue 1 to 17 goals in EPL next season. Discuss Using not more than 250 words explain how Lacazette dropped from 28 goals in Ligue 1 to 14 goals the next season in EPL. Using diagrams and audiovisual illustration, explain how Mbappe is averaging practically a goal a game in Ligue 1 despite playing only just above half of the matches as CF? Without asking Ifa, Orunmila, or Delphic oracle can you explain how Falcao averaged 0.6 goals per game in Ligue 1 but 0.14 goals per game in EPL? a) With the help of google can you tell us how many Ligue 1 teams have ever won the Champions League? b) Calculate the ratio of this to the number of EPL teams that have won the Champions League. c) Finally using all mighty formula can you tell us the degree of blame to be apportioned to Ligue 1 defenders for the result of b above. |

patrickmuf:Ligue 1 isn’t far behind from PL. The only thing PL has over Ligue 1 apart from money is hype. We should stop pretending that we haven’t seen direct transfers from Ligue 1 coming to boss the overhyped PL. Eden Hazard, Riyadh Mahrez, Ngolo Kante, etc all came from the so called Farmer’s league to win PFA player of the year in the overhyped PL back to back without sweats. Salah also came straight from Serie A(another so called farmer’s league) to dog-walk the overhyped PL defenders. There’s also Ruben Dias that came straight from Portuguese league and he won player of the season. Bruno Fernandes from the same farmer’s league is also bossing PL defenders - and he should have won the last PFA awards. PL is 70% footballing ability, 30% media hype. Just try and watch the Euro final again and see how Italian players from the so called farmer’s league totally destroyed the overhyped PL players.

Solskjaer was asked about winning the Premier League title after the match. He replied: “You’re not gonna get me on that one now. It’s five games into the season. “I was probably down and out and lost my job yesterday. That’s the way it is at Man United. “We deserved three points [against West Ham]. It’s a hard place to come, here. Hopefully these points can make a difference. Let’s see [about the title] when we get towards April and May.” |

Expert17:Even Fred get YouTube compilations that will make him look like prime Pirlo ![]() But on a serious, I'm not Comparing Verrati with Ndombele. Verrati is good in his own right but the point o was making was that Pogba is head and shoulders above him when it comes to passing, hence why I support tye combined 11 someone dropped, where Pogba gets the nod ahead of him |

TheLequte:Look at the match stats. The score line flattered England. It made it seem like a tough game. The truth is the Italians destroyed England with number of shots, possession, passing accuracy, etc. Most of them play in the farmer’s league - it got me wondering how the overhyped PL players could only make 420 passes in 120 minutes in comparison to the 820 passes from the Italians. If Football was like wrestling, the referee would have stopped the match. English players took a jungle justice sort of beating. They were totally destroyed. |

afrodoc2:Hehehe Zlatan played for PSG, the best team in the league and when he came to England, he joined the 5th best team and was older... Mbappe scored 27 goals last season, that's good but hardly jaw dropping...Salah doesn't play as a CF but he also post better numbers... The Falcao that arrived in England was already watched up... Lacazette? How many stellar seasons did he have in Ligue 1? What team did he join in England? It's like leaving Liverpool for Real Betis/Valencia and expecting to drop the same stats. Lyon was the 2nd/3rd best team in France at that time, he joined Arsenal that were on their way down... If Zlatan, Cavani, Mbappe played for the present City or Liverpool whilst at the peak of their powers, they'd have dropped top numbers... That's me trying to point out things clearly but we all know football can't be judged that way, Immobile was thrash at Dortmund but he has since been back banging goals for Lazio...Ordinarily, one would look at the Bundesliga and think it is easier to score there than in the Serie A but it didn't happen... Another instance, Ronaldo left Madrid for Juventus but was beaten to the golden boot by an old man Quagliarella in his first season and Immobile in his second season, it's only last season he was able to win the golden boot...Same Ronaldo that scored for fun in LA Liga and the UCL, are we to believe the Serie A is tougher or have better defenders? If yes, why then is Immobile doing so well there after failing in Germany? There’s more to football... I had a laugh when I read your reply...You this man, you funny sha. |
