He likely removed 45m from his account this month so 45k charge is no big deal for him.

Yes true (C.O.T), that's 1 per mill

If he does much on his account, he should approach his bank for consensus, may 0.5 per mill.

Hmmm. Use Kadu or carbon banks.
Also, try to earn in USDt so that all these Naira charges would be like kobo coins to you wink

GTB has always charged me almost 300 naira every month for SMS alert, even if I made only one withdrawal using their ATM card. I went to the customer care and complained. The guy said it's attached to my account. That I can't deactivate it.

The next time i had money entered the account, my brother, na so I transfer the money go my First Bank account. About thirty minutes ago, the sent me a debit charge for VAT for SMS alert of 14 naira. Them no see money to deduct.

They can disable the SMS.

Tell them specifically that you want to DISABLE SMS service.

You probably told the guy you want to disconnect the number from your account, instead of telling him to disable SMS service.

If he no gree do am for you, go meet another person. They have a form for it that you'll fill, Na normal stuff wey people dey do regularly.

As for the money they haven't deducted, they will deduct it once money enter your account. It's a pending debit. grin grin

Mtchewww before complaining, how many transactions do yu do in a day? In the month? Yu didn't give us that statistics. Your arguement is biased. A bank is a business. With your business yu are still expected to make profit ain't you. And mind yu not all of the money goes to the banks. The telecoms still get a piece of the pie.

Besides everybody be increasing the price of their products in the market it's a wonder banks haven't. The economy touch everybody my dear

Sms alert, email notification gives you instant account transaction updates. You can opt for email notification than sms alert to save money. No bank can charge me for stupid sms alert, I've entirely gone electronic.

Honestly, between eco bank and Osusu daily collector,I no just know which one better pass right now undecided. To check account balance, eco bank go tax person undecided. Even common to go withdraw the last 5h wey guyman still manage get for him account via pos, eco bank go still double-tax me....I just tire undecided

Kukuma cha,I don already dey use my ATM card dey do ruler for bakery lipsrsealed
Seriously. Anytime you check your ecobank account balance, something must have been deducted from it. I once went there to complain and the girl there was making a fuss about the amount that was deducted Vs the amount of money I used to transport to the bank to complain. Na so I abandon the account.

4348 divided by 4 is 1087. Prolly you make use of POS for payment cos that's 1087 transactions in one month. Go to the bank and deactivate SMS alerts and monitor all transactions via the Mobile App or activate email alert. That one works too

This is what an average Nigerian gets all day long from the banks and no form of support what so ever from the banks. Last month I lost my phone and my ATM card was in my phone case and the thief used it to make transfer his personal account, with all the detials provided by the transaction, the bank could not help in any way. So what are the BVN's for. Not up to a week ago I collected a new card and activated my account and these is all I'm getting from the bank. Nonsense!!

I handle it by making my money in Dollar and keeping them in Dollars/Pounds and in Crypto.

When I want to use money, I withdraw from Dollar to Kuda, Barter, Piggyvest, etc. Barter is free to send money.

If the money is sent to my local bank like UBA or GTB, I don't get text message alert, but email. Email alert is free, but SMS isn't. I have MB 24/7, so no need for SMS alert.

If you're talking about all these exorbitant duty charges, na una wey dey keep money for Naira I pity.
KUDA bank na life saver o!!!! And de do transfer for. Free like say na me own the bank grin

My only issue with them is the gate way fee they collect when funding account via Card.. that one point two percent much...

How do you earn in dollars?
I use a crypto currency trading bot that gives me 10%-50% of capital on a monthly basis.
Nigerian economy can never catch me unawares. Using for 2 months now.
I encourage anyone to find possible means to earn in dollars. Freelancing, crypto, etc.
