It became obvious with the homosexuality trope. It was weird the first time we saw it on TV. But now, it is expected.
The desensitization of homosexuality through the use of movies and TV shows has been quite successful. Few people, if any at all, think it's weird anymore.
That said, writers of movies and shows seem to have a list of mandatory characters. The list includes:

1. A gay person (preferably male).
2. A black man.
3. A patriarchy-oppressed white woman (usually the lead).
4. A caricature of a masculine man.
5. A lovable doofus of a man.
6. A very powerful man whose balls are in the palm of a woman (wife/GF).
7. A strong, independent woman .
8. A transgender (EXCLUSIVELY a man turning into a woman. Women are already perfect just the way they are).

For these writers, finding a way to slot in a "black gay man" character is like hitting the jackpot. It makes them giddy with joy. A black transgender man? That's bliss!

That aside, there's a fairly new narrative that movies/shows are pushing now. Writers, or perhaps their sponsors, are catching on quickly. And it's gaining ground rapidly.

The narrative is this:

Men willfully relinquishing their rightful positions of leadership or authority to pursue love or a life of mediocrity and frivolities.

Of course, the narrative is fostered by conveniently making the men in the movie/show grossly incompetent and the women overwhelmingly competent.

Somehow, the women are natural-born leaders with huge ambitions and transformational ideas. Whereas for the men, leaders are just "not who they are."

Avengers: Endgame was the next movie I saw with the narrative. Thor forfeiting the Asgardian Throne to a Valkyrie. In Norse mythology, the Valkyries are just servants of Odin. But it's okay to give up the throne to one of them and then go jostle for the leadership of a small space shuttle.

The objective of the narrative is simple:

It's okay to be unambitious as a man. Leave the leadership roles to women, they are more capable than you anyway.

Very valid. The rate at which Hollywood is feeding the audience that particular scenario you painted is bewildering. So bewildering I could predict the outcome of the "Cinderella" movie just from seeing the princess. One particular scene got me : when the queen complained about the king's throne a bit taller than hers, Omo I just left my friend to continue watching his movie, God forbid I watch trash.

They are pushing these ideologies into the media intentionally, it's so glaring. If anyone still can't see it, I'm not sorry to say that person's blind. They've emasculated the men totally. About every Hollywood Netflix movie or series will have a gay character, what does that mean? They are already portraying been queer as normal and we must accept it whether we like it or not.

The genre of feminism is been pushed albeit not subtly. I can't even start with the number of movies with hidden or obvious "go girl power" messages. A scene in "Free guy" where "guy" tells a lady she can do better she can get a better dude and the same "guy" says most guys are the worst - using men to shame men as the villians, she concluded to saying she can just be alone, do fine without any guy - a nod at Strong independent woman.

Hollywood movies are trash, one can hardly find a "normal" -not even redpilled- movie anymore. Simping, homosexuality, go girl power, attack on men, feminism, the list goes on. I fast forward all of the movies I watch nowadays. It's tiring I must confess, I'm watching movies now for the action.

The messages passed by the media is strong, really strong. I'm sorry for the upcoming generation and those who watch about anything and believe anything. The brain can pick up subtle things and develop it. As much as we think feminism doesn't affect this country, it's a cumulative effect, we'd be surprised (or not) when it starts showing much later if we continue to go the western way. To all the dudes talking about movies, I dropped comments way back on this same issue. The movie narrative from Hollywood standpoint will steadily get worse. My case study movies were Army of the dead, Coming to America 2, Gunpowder Milkshake, Black lightning, Endangered species and so many others I can't mention. I keep wondering who dafuq sponsor these movies. The fact that most of our popular actors herald these movies contribute to the quick reconditioning of the general populace. I'm a dude who loves watching movies a lot and although I know what's happening and guide myself against it's effects but tons of people, kids and teens inclusive, know nothing of the redpill and will accept such stuffs as the new normal. The next generation males have their work cut out for them. I don't envy those Mudafuckers. The world as we know it is steadily getting fuqed up.

Nowadays, I try to enjoy science fiction movies due to the knowledge I can get from them. Most other genres are bastardized and they just don't make sense anymore
