See the nonsense Obi Pandora is saying. He even admit non-declaration of some jointly owned assets lol. If Nigeria is a working country, they should have invited the man by now to now tell the law when they start accepting ignorance.

You were also operating a foreign account while being an elected government. Rubbish and nonsense.

He broke no law Mr. Ethnicity and tribal blindness can make even those that claim to live in developed civilization look stupid.

There is no constitutional clause that mandates him to declare jointly owned assets. If such clause exist it is like scaring investors away because there are silent investors who will never want to be known.

Nigeria wants foreign investment, and same foreign countries wants investment from other nations even Nigeria.

Is it not selfishness and wickedness to tell others to come And invest but gets bitter when others goes out to invest.

In public office there’s no ‘silent investors’. Let’s be unbiased here

Oga, the people who wrote the article also said you broke no law.
-you tried to hide assets
-you engaged in tax avoidance
-if the tax avoidance is pursued, terrible things could be found out.

Forget a progression of your political career meanwhile and tidy up your books.

Tax avoidance is not a crime but tax evasion is .!

Amazing! While politicians in North America are scampering to dis-associate themselves from Pandora to limit their political liabilities, Nigerian politicians, a presidential hopeful for that matter is still bragging with it. Only in Nigeria.
Some people are even saying that he doesn't have to declare jointly owned asset to CCB. Really? So what's the essence of asset declaration if I don't need to declare a jointly owned asset? When did tax avoidance become something to brag about and you claim that you will raise revenue when you become president. From who then? Sometimes silence is rich.
Aswearugaaad

Look brah, tax avoidance is way different from tax evasion and not bad at all. The world's richest men avoid tax incase you don't know.

We3fffThe way i see people calling Peter Obi a fraud and a liar goes a long way to show how myopic we are and how Nigeria deserve any ill fate that befalls her.

He owns these businesses, his children aren't even directors, he grew the businesses from scratch before politics, he didn't misappropriate public funds, he grew the economy of his state, he cleared his state debt, he reduced wasteful expenses, turned a loss making state into making profit, built infrastructure the state has never seen before, has a very sound and detailed plan on transforming Nigeria.

Now ill meaning people who have been paid by ill meaning politicians are trying to spoil his image by all means. You see how deep they dug, yet can't lay a claim of money laundering or corruption.. And see y'all fish brained ill meaning people shouting and calling him a fraud.

Mission accomplished.. Instill tribalism on insecure brainwashed Nigerians and they'll fall.

Nigeria will never get Peter Obi or any other well meaning politician if we get easily swayed by the evil ones. The evil ones know how to make noise which is all we wanna hear, then we cry wolf when they mess up and stay mute in office.
God bless you for this statement. You re a wise man

Have you ever seen an Igbo person taking responsibility of his or her action ? The answer is capital NO. They are always right and believed they can never make mistake and instead put the blame on other tribes for their mistake. Obi Pandora is one of them even when the papers exposed him for having more than one wristwatch and shoe grin

stop defending thieves, investigations reveals he owns the companies alone, they are not jointly owned and the law stipulates he declared assets owned jointly or fully by public servants. Thieves.

You are unfortunately one of the problems of this Country!

Up until now, I mean before the recently passed CAMA, 2020 you need a minimum of two adults to Incorporate a Company in Nigeria. So the argument that he did not know he had to declare jointly owned assets does not hold. Besides, the offshore assets were jointly owned by his family members- wife and kids, who are brought by himself!

bro a jointly owned asset should be declared on what ground. Is it a private asset. Is just like telling a shareholder in Nestle to declare Nestle asset cause his a part owner... Every other partners right need to be considered

Peter Obi will do well to keep it low and avoid all these back and forth.

He should see it as a priviledge to be named amongst the world's smartest looters..

For goodness sake, HE is not the only Nigerian mentioned. Bagudu is even forging ahead as if nothing happened. Of course, he knows nothing will happen.

I have no issues with Obi. I only have issues with somebody trying to be a saint when he is far from being one.

Elementary law should tell you that you declare assets whether jointly owned or individually owned.

Wonderful, so I should declare my part of asset if I co owned company A with 3 other people.

The constitution didn't make provision for such.

Reason properly next time.

Any law that says a rich man should suddenly become poor just because he wants to serve his people is a foolish law. Such law wether code or not is stupid and calculated to witch hunt those who are well to do. Another reason why the 1999 constitution should be scrapped totally. #BurnThe1999Constitution

Family members?

So it wasn't solely owned by him. What are you arguing?

Or has family members transcend to Peter Obi

Honestly I wonder why Peter Obi is wasting his time trying to explain himself to these bunch of losers who haven't managed to grow a provision shop talk less about building and managing chains of businesses.
Peter Obi is an excellent manager of asset and resources, that's why he was successful, he brought his excellent skills to work for Anambra state and judiciously managed Anambra resources that it saved Anambra from reckless financial crisis when other states were broke and begged the FG to bail them out. His managerial abilities was so top-notch that even after living government house, Pastor Poju invited him to come speak on 'The Platform' about financial discipline and how he successfully turned and saved Anambra from economic doldrums. Even the current governor of Oyo state whom I hear is an astute business man has invited him over to rub minds together.
Peter Obi has never projected himself to be 'holier than the pope'. He's only trying prove to his fellow Nigerians that there's a solution to Nigeria's reckless, wasteful and imprudent financial practices. But the Nigerians that I know will allow bigotry and tribal sentiments becloud their sense of good reason and open-mindedness. Nigerians aren't smart when it comes to selecting competent leaders and it's sad to know that .
As for Peter Obi, he should stop filling the need to explain himself to haters. Peter Obi has been out of office since 2013 and yet Buhari hasn't pinned him down for wrong doing. 'Peter nothing do you, carry go' I wish you could even mentor him personally on how to prudent with scarce resources because I'm suffering 'spiritual financial recklessness' grin grin
