If you pray from morning to night and don't balance it with sincere good deeds, your bad acts will be used against you on the Day of reocmpense. Conversely, if you engage in charitable acts and don't balance it with sincere acts of worship to Allah, the deeds will carry no weight on the Day.

As Allah repeatedly states in the Qur'an BOTH have to be sincererly fulfilled if one hopes to meet with his Lord in the Hereafter.

Concerning jumuah.. Jumuah is NOT for traveler. Traveler is to combine zuhr and ashr together at the time of ashr.

Instead of Jumuah, it would be zuhr.

EXEMPTIONS GIVEN TO WOMEN IN CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCE.

Women are exempt from:

a.. Fasting when they are pregnant or nursing or menstruating,
b.. Praying when menstruating or bleeding after childbirth,
c.. The obligation to attend congregational prayers in the mosque on Fridays.
d.. They are not obliged to take part as soldiers in the defense of Islam, although they are not forbidden to do so.
But under normal circumstances they are allowed to do all the things that men do.

- Even when they are menstruating, on special days, like the two Eid festivals, they are still allowed to come to the Eid prayers, and menstruating women can take part in most of the actions of the Hajj pilgrimage.

Islamic laws does not requires that women should confine themselves to household duties.

Muslim women have [and are as well] headed Islamic provinces [and states as well], like Arwa bint Ahmad, who served as governor of Yemen under the Fatimid Khalifahs in the late fifth and early sixth century.

Name any other religion, political theory, or philosophy which offers such a comprehensiveness to women by giving her total control of her life and affairs NONE

Islam Is Not Against Women Folks
One of the many misconceptions about Islam in the world is the belief that the religion is an enemy of women folk. Factually, series of efforts have been made by divergent categories of unbelievers and ardent hypocrites in different parts of the world to present Islam in absurd manners and call the religion and its adherents what they are not before the entire universe.

Their sole aim is to discredit Islam in order to lose its revered value in all aspects of human endeavours while the Owner of the religion has preserved His religion.
Through these misconceptions and projections, Islam is seen, by those who are deceived by these human plots, concoctions and lies, as an enemy of human development, progress and civilization.
However, despite all these demonizing efforts by these clear enemies of Islam, the religion has invalidated their claims and proved instrumental and developmental to human growths in all spheres.

First of all, there is need to understand the aim and objectives of Islam in all its laws and instructions so as to know what to call the religion. From all indications and interpretations, Islam has not made any oppressive, reprehensible injunctions and laws for its followers to abide by but made its instructions convenient, simple and good-worthy in all time.

How could someone imagine that the Creator of the creatures and the Lord of the universe will impose or make anything oppressive on His servants and creatures? For what reason? Many Islamic injunctions have answered this rotten question of humanity and insanity.


Generally, Islam considered both gender (male and female) as equal servants in the sight of Allah and only distinguish them in piety and righteousness. At the same time, we should try to understand the fact that

Islam has assigned different roles and duties to both gender. While they share duties in some activities, they have separate and individual roles to play in others.

These are the laws of Islam binding on every obedient Muslim, made by Allah, the Sole Creator. For both gender, Islam orders everyone to stay on his boundary; no addition and no subtraction.


In this regard, what is mostly attributed to Islam is Gender inequality. This attribution is not only false but a greater lie against Islam. In its essence, Islam is a gender-balanced religion in its laws and principles taking into consideration the reality in the creation of woman, her power, ability and capacity.

In regards to social mannerism of female in Islam, there are many binding injunctions of permission and prohibition guiding women on social behaviour with family, associates, friends and the general public. The permission implies that there is no harm in putting such manner in actions while prohibition is simply in the interest of humanity as ordered by Allah. The restriction of female in some social roles by Islam is nothing but a protection and safety on her personality. In a society where the restriction is not in force, such society will harbour a lot of social vices and atrocities exacerbated by lack of implementation of such restriction.

Let's check our society in this aspect!
Of dressing, Islam dictates unique, special honoured and dignified dressings for female Muslims which obeying such will enhance their security and protection against any social forces threatening her dignity and pride. Indeed, Islamic dressing in general and women's in specific, is the most perfect and a pride to uphold. Contradicting these righteous forms of dressing will tantamount to invitation of social vices in the society. We should have a glance on our society here too!
And in family affairs, there are designated individual roles and responsibilities for both gender taking into cognizance the reality. Islam has done justice to both gender in this regard. Studying and reasoning deep on the instructions of Islam on such will lead to one's guidance of Islam being a humane inclined, real, practicable and instrumental religion to humanity. It is so unfortunate that our community pay deaf ears to the guidance of Islam and we keep witnessing the doom.


In recap, we should conclude that contrary to the prevalent stereotype, notion and claims by many people of the world including deceiving Muslims, traditional religious texts show that Islam valued, dignified and respect women folks. Also, the world should try to distinguish between the pure teachings of Islam on matters and the practices of some 'ignorant' Muslims in the society. And to have a free society from all sorts of vices, we should go back to the guidance of Islam. May Almighty Allah keep protecting Islam and the Muslims from the plots of their enemies. Amee
