Charles Awuzie, a Nigerian Cyber security expert based in South Africa has stated that religion in Nigeria thrives on poverty and lack of functional systems in Nigeria, IgbereTV reports.

Taking to his Facebook page, he compared the health service he got in South Africa to what is obtainable in Nigeria.

"At 1am, my temperature hit the roof...

I struggled to walk...

An Emergency paramedical team showed up in 5 minutes. Checked my vitals and confirmed that everything is fine. They monitored me and in 30 minutes, the temperature went down.

Besides the thigh muscle pain, I feel better now.

Some deaths in Nigeria are caused by poverty and a poor Healthcare system. I have faith in the South African Healthcare system - although their approach can be more experimental than curative sometimes.

Here's the thing ... It took 5 minutes for a fully equipped ambulance to arrive in my home - 5 minutes.

With a functional health care system, you won't have to call prophets in the midnight when you feel sick - you will phone an emergency medical team.

Religion in Nigeria feasts on the poverty and lack of functional systems in the country.

The day we fix Nigeria, prayer contractors will lose their job.

Thank God for medical science - Tinubu and Buhari jets into London because they know that a functional Healthcare system can keep you alive than the prayers of their religious leaders.
It's 2:30am now and I need to get some rest.

Maranatha."

let me say prestisibly, that's as quickly as possible

That the only thing working in Nigeria is corruption, as a result every other sector won't work because of this

Religion in Nigeria is just another branch of corruption in the country... and its regrettable lugubrious that a vast majority of Nigerians have been brainwashed to believe Religion is the only answer to Nigeria problem

waiting for Nigeria to get better without dividing the country is like filling a basket with water and expecting it to get filled up soon

There's no unity in the country and i don't see how we can achieve anything better with the way things are, because we are more divided against each other more than ever before, and a nation divided amongst itself cannot achieve anything

my humble opinion though...

t's not only in Nigeria alone but the entire Africa continent.
He was just privileged in SA.

"Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people"- Karl Max

In other words, religious overzealousness is indirectly tied to our system.
Religion offers hope to the hopeless and create a condition of relief when there seems to be no way out.

Summarily, while the government keeps the common man in a holpless condition, the religious leaders take advantage of it by offering hope.

Pure truth.

The fact is that, every Nigerian is as corrupt as unfortunate leaders we have now. Give this functional system to Nigerians, some Nurses or Doctors would've out of their laziness prefer to ignore such call and give stupid excuses when queried.

You are right , other countries with head will seek for nobody with brilliant head , but in Nigeria ritualists and king kidnappers who used their wealth to join politics are seen as credible and those with real brain are seen as inconsequential , trust my Yoruba brothers , they love grand thieves and ritualists.

The same foolish masses also chose the 2 worst gods to worship because of their mountainous threats .

It's all about education about 70% are illiterate. Let me give you a example look at United States of America when Donald Trump became president in America we Nigerians was number 7 African in employment in America next thing we go vote for 3 Nigeria senators in America old is Joe Biden and we are now number 11 Africa in employment in America . It is only an illiterate which goes and vote for his condition to become worse. Under George Bush Nigeria's one right number 3 African in America in employment. .

Let's be serious when i went to police officer is telling you not to come to the police station in Lagos it is not safe to report any crime. The police did some job for me I was supposed to pay them some money which was over 50k he was telling me not to come to the police station and give him the money it is not safe the other police officers cars can hire people to take the money from him and do that to him. This is in the police station in festac Lagos so if police station is no more safe how do you want the ambulance to be travelling up and down.

I don't hate Buhari but he represents a cry to Nigerians.

Here in Nigeria there's no medical healthcare lines. Sometimes mobile lines not reachable when you need them.
Secondly, both paramedics and the medics are always on strike.

As a result of the above couple with abject poverty under Buhari maladministration lots of people rely on Daddy, prophets, papas in the lord for emergencies.

Las Las Nigeria is a zooooo
