Both Ighalo and Moses were good players, but it's time to move on.

Osimhen, just needs a little calming down and needs to add a little trickery to his game, and the rest will be history.

minfelix:
I didn't watch our game today, but I jus watched d highlights, meeehhhnnn how on earth did osimhen loose that opportunity na :'.... confident dribblers like Ejuke, Chukwueze (against Sierra Leone) iheanahcho ( against Zambia), will calm down and yeye that defender, if keeper join sef, all of them will be "yeyed" before slotting that ball into the net.
Even ahmed Musa yeyering d Iceland defense at d WC

Osimhen is wasteful but I believe he will improve

My point exactly. Stating areas where a player needs improvement is NOT hatred. We can be objective and supportive at the same time in our analysis. Osimhen is, as of yet, far from the finished product or "monster machine" we love to believe he is. He certainly has the potential and has shown the desire to get there. I sincerely hope he continues improving.

In sum, is Osimhen a bad player? No. Is Osimhen overhyped, especially around here? Hell yeah!

Ok, sorry. But I believe Musa was good in the game though. He should have gotten a goal, had he not been trying to pass all the time.
Yeah. I expected him to score from that chance, but out of selflessness he passed instead. Would have been nice if he scored.

Make una stop overhyping all these abeg. We have not lost any further matches yet and we are back to winning. Infact, Cape Verde has CAR to play. They drew the last time, and we can see that CAR is not a walkover for Cape Verde, at least from how they played us.

If there's anyone to be bringing out calculator, its Cape Verde and not Nigeria.

He should have had a hatrick today. He will get better and better. Of course he is young and don't have experience on his side.

Hope those blaming Osimhen for wasting are not the same people calling Ighalo. Ighalo that can waste 15 chances before scoring one goal. Osimhen would never waste that his open chance in 2018.

Mujtahida:

There's so much emphasis on efficiency and athleticism to the extent that dribbling is considered a waste of time. Instead of dribbling one, two, three players, coaches expect players to pass the ball. Read the articles in the links below

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thesportsman.com/articles/the-dying-art-of-dribbling.amp

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5098477/amp/Dribbling-football-dying-art.html

Oh.

These articles are saying:

"full-fledged dribblers are becoming rare,"

not

"dribbling is dying" , because that is impossible. So the headings are misrepresented.

Players like Ejuke who can take on any player have always been rare, this is no news. But dribbling is not dying one bit.

The "pass pass pass" football you mentioned is perfected by Manchester City, yet last season, behind closed doors, with no crowd to wow, Manchester City completed more dribbles than any other Premier League side except one.

In every top league in Europe, this was the same scenario: all teams that had the most passes completed the most dribbles.

So individual dribblers will continue to be one in a thousand, but dribbling in football can never die.
