There was an Igbo girl that received a lot of awards during graduation from Unilag and was immediately employed by the Lagos state governor very recently.

Oga I was born and brought up in Lagos. We know the subtle tribalism that Yorubas exhibit I experienced it first hand in my Masters in Unilag so bros it is my experience you don't have to agree with it. I saw it first hand from the lecturer complaining that there are more igbos in the class to deliberately giving soft landing to yoruba students. There was also a Yoruba guy employed by Anambra state civil service after NYSC he is presently a director. So many other Yorubas also graduated from my school FUTO during my BSc with good grades, but it doesn't rule out the fact that ethnic groups in Nigeria exhibit tribalism in one form or the other so accusing other groups and saying Yoruba are least tribalistic is a blatant lie at best.

Bros leave stories, the Igbo tribe is the most tribalistic in Nigeria and I'm not even Yoruba neither have i lived in Yoruba land before. Rather i have lived with an Igbo man from Ihiagwa in Owerri for 4 years so i speak from experience and very close dealings/observations.

Asides people who's had personal dealings there's also enough evidence online to support the narrative of your tribe being the most tribalistic in Nigeria, i wouldn't go into details coz i believe you know that yourself. If you say you don't then you're living in denial.

The reason i stated that I'm not Yoruba is because one of you might just come and term me a Yoruba hater hence my biased opinion.

Most Yorubas don't even know the meaning of Ofe Mmanu.
The first time I heard it was when my igbo Ex-GF was teasing me by calling me Ofe Mmanu and she later explained the meaning to me.

She used to call me Ofe Mmanu, then later on when my understanding of the Igbo language improved, I added Eze Ndi Ofe Mmanu-1 to the 'title'

After reading all the comments from different nairalanders, it's obvious that ONE Nigeria doesn't exist and we should separate for peace to reign.

I'm a yorùbá guy but i don't support some of the things other nairalanders said. I can't say Igbo are the most tribalistic cos we know Nigerians generally are tribalistic in their own way. Yes, all nigerians cos i have mingled with different people from different tribes in Nigeria.

Let's stop this childish act and think outside the box. Election is fast approaching and we southerners need to decide who is going to represent us. Kindly note that the northerners won't support our people. This is part of tribalism (i have nothing against them, just pointing out the obvious truth) We only recognize ourselves on the basis of ethnic group and religion. Let's put down our differences and be united for the common goal. If we don't unite, I'm afraid the power won't come to the South come 2023.
