OP, do you want to hear the truth? The truth about your post is that I didn't even understand the first paragraph of your write-up.

Having said that, me thinks basically that development is always elusive to any land or region where there is chaos, anarchy, civil unrests, violence, etc.

However, I want to believe what IPOB is fighting or agitating for is primarily EGALITARIANISM, EQUITY, FAIRNESS, AND JUSTICE. Seccessionism is secondary.

It is visible to the blind, and audible to the deaf that the South-East region of Nigeria is highly marginalized. They are not carried along in the scheme of things in this country. When there is an unwritten agreement that the position of the president of this country should be rotated among the geopolitical zones in the country or among the major ethnic nationalities and it gets to their turn to produce the president and you say they cannot be trusted with power. What do you call that? And you expect them to seat back, fold their arms, and watch it slide away. It's not done!

Besides, the Nigerian government has proven again and again that only the violent get the things they want in this country.

Yes, they IPOB not requesting for egalitarianism within Nigeria state, what they want is to secede from Nigeria and this is allowed in UN charter...

UN also respect the constitution of its member states, one section in Nigeria constitution stated that the unity of federating states is not negotiable, with that UN can't intervein in such issues.

By the virtue of the facts above, the desire to secede from Nigeria by some Igbos which championed by MASSOB and IPOB suppose to go within the ambit of law.

Though, the process of legal channel may be longer than expected, yet it's the best option in this stage of the world. Igbos traditional rulers can call on their legislators to prepare a bill in upper and lower houses that will request the amendment of the section that stated that Nigeria unity is not negotiable.

Once that is amended, though it might be amended with conditions that can enhance such agitation for secession, which will be base on to address inequality of treatment, rotational presidency, and so on that can leads to grievances of any region of the country, that means achievement on blocking things that causing injustice.

Violence can't give sweet result, it can only leads to bitter end, take UK and Scotland for instance, and that of Spain and Catalonia, it's different approach and different result simply because Catalonia politicians failed to followed their national constitution, while Scotland exploited the loop hole of unwritten constitution of UK which brought out referendum, its result against their target but they achieved it with peace not by violence or war but there's violence in Catalonia, yet upon that it's still part of Spain.

You spoke well but please correct your figures.

We are currently on 73% debt servicing.

By next year it will be closer to 90% as there are no capable hands in Buhari's economic team. The CBN governor shouldn't have been given a second term. The Minister of Finance has no background to run the complex role she has been given by the clannish Buhari.

She would even struggle to handle the Commissioner of Finance, Lagos effectively as her major qualification is where she comes from.

The truth is that Nigeria is on its path to self destruction, no matter how the selfish folks want to keep it together. The south east agitation is not what will destroy Nigeria, the country will self destruct, half of the youths are not gainfully employed, about 25 percent of next years budget is used to service debts, a budget that will be financed on borrowed funds, corruption is unabated, falling prices of oil etc the agitation is of less threat to one Nigeria compared to the actions done by those clamouring for one Nigeria

What is happening in some parts of the country especially in the South East is like When hate due to ideological, religion, ethnic or philosophical believe, that allows the accommodation, Celebration and disguising or showing contempt to the bloodletting of a brother or sister IS TERRORISM in action.

When an enemy in times of war spills blood in the land, the consequences are lighter, than when a brother spills the blood of another brother in the land of their birth.
